He was able to bleach my hair from a super dark brown to platinum blonde, all while preserving the integrity of my hair. I wasn't quite sure what color I wanted but trusting in his suggestion, I went with ombre golden sky pink and it came out absolutely gorgeous. If you have a specific color in mind, he can work with you to achieve it but if you're also open to suggestions, he can create many different color combinations. I get so many compliments regarding the color of my hair, as well as how healthy it is. I appreciate that Andy has his own suite- the privacy and ambience of the salon is very chic. You can tell how someone would treat your hair based on their workspace and Andy is all about quality! I very much enjoy going to him for my hair journey, not only because he does a superb job, but also because he is very down-to-earth and cares about your hair's health.

I've gone through several major hairstyle changes, and he does a great job with every one of them. His priority first and foremost is the clients' hair. Although his approach is your typical asian hairstylist, where they will tell you bluntly what would look best for your features, Travis has always respected what I wanted for my hair and what was in my comfort zone. When we first met, I floated the idea that I wanted to cut my hair short and I can tell he was excited to make it happen. After booking the dates, I kept changing my mind over the course of months. He was so patient with me and told me "i want to make sure you aren't upset [with your hair]". It was the confirmation I needed to not feel guilty for wasting so much of his time going back and forth on the idea. My first time siting in his chair, I was so nervous because my hair hadn't been cut in years and I was letting the split ends grow out. Honestly, I was convinced I ruined it after bleaching it several years prior. Travis assured me that my hair was healthy and offered a blowout treatment that left my hair feeling incredibly soft and silky. Travis is definitely a person you either vibe with or you don't, but you can tell he's genuinely appreciative of his clients, especially the returning ones. He will message me on occasion to check in on my hair and take into consideration the growth rate of my hair for my next appointment. Whenever I come in, I don't feel obligated to put on a happy face and he understands. Some days, he'll just put on some music and work in silence or some others, he'll just listen while I yap. He's also so generous, when I was just learning to take care of my hair. He got me a boar bristle brush, as well as small bottles of brand new shampoo and conditioner, to help with some oiliness issues that I had. I was so touched by how much he wanted to help me fix whatever issues I was having with my hair and this is a consideration he's carried throughout the time I've known him. I have come back today to get a color correction/balayage. I went to a high end salon wanting to…read moretry a new place and get a new hair color completed, only to leave and actually be unhappy with my hair. I learned my lesson to not cheat on my hair dresser cause it will add up financially! Ryan was able to accommodate me for a darker balayage, Ryan is a master at coloring. I think it's important for new customers to know that, he is very very good at figuring out what the right colors are that'll match your inspiration photos. He was able to turn my hair into exactly the inspiration photo I showed him. I was also taking meetings and "working" while at the salon, he was quiet the entire time (I didn't ask him to be, he learned I was doing that and on his own was very very courteous). He was also very quick and efficient which allowed me to run home and be on video meetings on time. Ultimately, he is exceptional at balayages. I've only come to him for that and I'm sure he can do highlights and etc very well since coloring seems to be his best skill. I've been in salons where it took 3-4 hours, Ryan was able to do my hair in 2 hours! I texted him, his number is all over the Yelp reviews, and he responded very quickly. What I loved: 1. He was a great communicator, very transparent throughout his process. Within the first five minutes, he evaluated my hair for length, amount, and texture, quoted me a price, and made sure I completely understood why my price was going to be my price (which was *very* reasonable, given my specific situation). 2. He really listened to my goals and concerns, gave me a cut that checked all the boxes, and provided tips on how to care for my type of hair and style. I left his station having learned something, and armed with a maintenance plan-- so much value in that itself! And he did this without trying to upsell or push me to purchase any products from him. 3. He is genuine and fun; just interacting with him gave me a mood boost for the day!
