So on the day that I finally had time, energy, and motivation to go get it cut, I rolled out of bed and booked the soonest available spot for that day - which ended up being with Seth. I was ambivalent about what to do with my hair and was honest about how low of a priority it was to me on a day to day basis. I explained the options I had been considering and what I was and wasn't willing to do with my hair on a daily/weekly basis. He gave insightful feedback and helped me settle on a blunt cut bob. He started conservative in the length and adjusted the cut to get where I wanted it, and finished by styling it. This salon categorizes and prices the cuts as "short scissor", "medium scissor", and "long scissor" cuts. If you're like me and know nothing about hair and salon language, it refers to the length your hair is when you arrive. For me, I went from a long scissor cut to a medium. I appreciate this because they don't distinguish between genders for price - you are charged for the services you receive.
