I received my first haircut from her yesterday. I gave thin straight hair and needed some layers to volumize. She butterflied my hair and I love it. She listened, was personable and reasonable. Next time I'd want a little more roundness to the back of my hair so it not so " peeky" which causes it to look thinner but all in all I was extremely pleased . I hope to see her for my color too. Thank you, sweet lady and God Bless!

I could rave about Lauren, who is really great at what she does because she's passionate about making people gorgeous AND she's witty to boot. But this is a review of Phancy's, not the amazing Lauren. Although Lauren is great. I find the staff to be very friendly and personable. I've made appointments via email as well as over the phone. Phil, the co-owner, almost always checks out my hair before I leave to make sure that I love it, which I think shows a real dedication to customer service. Highly recommended.

I went to Susannah to go from blonde to silver. My hair was dry, but certainly not damaged. About 5…read moreminutes under the dryer I felt the foils reach an unsafe temperature and I could feel my neck burning. I removed the cap and offending foils and waited for Susannah to return to back. After nearly 20 years of foils, I've never had an experience of being burned under a dryer. The appointment continued and she didn't say anything about damage. The appointment continued and when finished it was not what I had expected nor envisioned. I was told it was due to the color I had when I came in except I had almost no color as I was highlighted and toned only. She told me I needed another appointment to achieve the desired results. The next morning I rinsed my hair (cold water only) and could hardly pass a comb through the area where the foils over heated, which is the majority of the back of my head. I politely texted and told her the situation and that I was pretty unhappy she didn't tell me about the damage so that I could have adjusted my haircut accordingly. I offered to pay for the haircut but asked for a refund on the color. She told me no - that she provided labor and products and I could come in for alterations but there would be no refunds. She also admitted that her dryer was new and she didn't realize or know how hot it gets. She asked me if I would ask my dentist for a refund. I told her again that I don't have the time or childcare to come in, asked once again for a refund and even said how I want to end this on a good note and be able to close the transaction out with a positive review. I was told not to "threaten" her with reviews. In actuality, that wasn't my intent whatsoever. I work in social media and know how important customer service is to small businesses. I was hoping that a bumpy transaction could have been rectified and I could have said "hey this happened but it ended up being okay in the end because of great customer service." I was also told that she has a no refund policy. Policies have exceptions when you ruin someone's hair. I guess in these circumstances you can burn someone's hair off their head and have zero accountability. Really pathetic customer service.

Because my hair was damaged at the beginning we had to cut off at least 4inches but she also applied deep conditioning and restructuring treatment to help my hair take on the blonde without further damaging. My hair looks and feels amazing because of her! Im glad I did my reaserch and found Suze! I will definitely be back for more!! P.s. the after was achieved after two sessions of lightening and care.

I went there this past Saturday (by appointment) to get a color. Yes I had used the 30 day wash out color I called Splat for my Halloween costume. Let's just say it does not wash out in 30 days. So I wanted Jenny to lift the color and go back to my natural color which was a light brown/dark blond. When I walked in she asked what I did to my hair. And after I told her what I wanted to do she said no can do. that the Red from the Splat color was forever until it grew out. Suggested trying o cover it with DARK Brown or Black. Since I knew it was possible to lift color, that was not my biggest complaint. While she was back getting her color book she was talking to her co-work (in their native Asian language) by the tone of the talk and the fact that the co-worker kept looking at me, it was quite obvious she was heatedly talking about me. Look if you have something to say, say it to my face since I am sitting right there. She was very rude to me, I got up grabbed my stuff and left. I will NEVER go back. Instead, I found Heather Davis Hair Design at Century Salon Suites. I love the color with highlights and cut she gave me.
