This was my first call - and I got lucky. Scheduled right away for today. I've dealt with hundreds of service providers and this company tops the list for promptness, quality, and professionalism. The problem was fixed, with a couple recommendations added. Also - VERY fairly priced - especially for the quality of work. I wasn't surprised at all when I went to Yelp after the fact and read the reviews.

After having one company come out and say they won't go up there, I called Vent Cleaning Hero and they sent Gabe out the next week. He explained in detail what he would do to clean the vent and access the roof, and did a fantastic job of cleaning behind the dryer itself, the entire vent AND getting on the roof to remove all the built up lint/material. He then showed me detailed pictures of before and after and he did a great job. I know the dryer will run much more efficiently and I feel more secure about safety knowing that it's this immaculate. Thank you!

We love our new shutters from Made in the Shade…read more We desperately needed new blinds for the kitchen and family room. We received three reasonable bids, but Made in the Shade was our best option after a small negotiation. Chelsea did a fabulous job explaining what was available to us. She listened, had a great sense of humor, and allowed us to ask questions and explore different design options. We even met Brando, the owner, who came out to discuss our order briefly. Then Josh came out to install our 5 new shutters. He was fast, very polite, and did a wonderful job. There are many options for new shutters, and perhaps, once they are installed, who you purchased them from will not ever be noticed. But we all know the problems that can occur with delays, poor installation, and sloppy workmanship. Made in the Shade was incredible, a joy to work with, and very high quality. The shutters arrived two weeks earlier than promised, so if there was one downside, it was that I had to hurry and paint the kitchen--not much of a downside. We highly recommend Made in the Shade.

But since taking our money, she's completely stopped responding to messages. It's unacceptable and unethical to treat customers this way. If you come across Chelsea working with any curtain or window treatment company in the area, be extremely cautious. This experience has been a nightmare and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same thing!

When I questioned why that was necessary just to mail a letter, I was told they needed to add me into their system to "make things easier next time." Another employee chimed in and said this was "standard." I made it clear that I did not want my personal information stored in their system just to send a piece of mail. The entire interaction felt unnecessary and intrusive, so I trusted my gut and left. I then went to the local USPS office up the street, mailed the same letter without having to hand over my driver's license or personal data, and it cost significantly less. Based on my experience, I would avoid this location unless absolutely necessary.
