The day I bought a Kia soul 2023 It only had 17 miles on the car and on my way home all kinds of warning came on dash and for a new car that.s bad, so i called Hagerstown Kia and so the car was in the shop 5 times and they cant find out what is causing the problem and they will not fix my car, the warning lights come on my dash every day since i bought the car, i have print outs and dates and times of everything. they are voiding me on this issue...

Update below initial post... My mother in-law went to buy a vehicle after her husband passed. She went alone and they ripped her off. They added a $3,000 market adjustment on top of the MSRP. A $364 accessory package which they won't say exactly what it is. Additionally they charged their $299 dealer processing fee twice (once on the sticker that had the market adjustment price on it and another time on the pink slip). They denied charging her twice when she called them about it. I ran the numbers and they most certainly charged her twice. So in total they stole $3,663 dollars from here. In my mind they are no better than those third world country telemarketers that steal people's money. Update... after sending them a picture with the papers. My mother-in-law finally talked to the sales manager. They did finally admit to charging the processing fee twice. He said the accessory package was a pinstripe that was supposed to go on the vehicle but they hadn't had a chance to put it on yet. She said OK so you're going to refund me that money? He said no, I could sell your car for five times what you bought it for I'm not giving you that money back. She said OK good then take my car back and sell for five times that. He said we don't take returns. They are going to refund the duplicate $299 processing fee just not the $364 for a pinstripe that wasn't on the vehicle.

Both times, my car was serviced in under 1.5 hours. The representatives I worked with (most recently, Evans) were kind, communicative, and transparent. The service area is well taken care of, the WiFi is great, and they provide snacks and sandwiches. I also appreciated that they were able to give me insight into upcoming service and pricing. I will never take my car anywhere else.

They have failed to return calls requiring me to follow up on minutia that another Subaru service department I have dealt with were prompt to address and take care of. My last, and I mean this was my last, service visit was to get routine maintenance and have a part installed that I asked for over a year ago. I waited patiently two hours and then the service advisor informed me that there was a problem with the new part, they reinstalled my defective part until a new one came in and They would call me when the part came in. He handed me my key and I asked if the routine maintenance was done. He then looked confused and double checked. They did not do the service and acted surprised about that part of the visit. I told them to forget about it and do the service when they install the new part they were ordering. They said it would take 3 days to get the part. It now has been 10 days and they have not called. I have had a history with them failing to communicate. One time I actually drove to the service department and spoke to them in person after 2 weeks of no return calls. I now have an appointment with another Subaru service department that I have dealt with in the past and has a better reputation.

I always enjoy working with Brandon - High quality service all the time! I wish I could give a different review because I went into Sheehy Volkswagen of Hagerstown…read moreexpecting to be treated fairly and have my vehicle situation handled professionally. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling completely disregarded as a customer. My 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan ended up being in their shop for approximately six months because of ongoing engine/oil-related issues. The vehicle was already a major inconvenience, but the way the situation was communicated and handled made it even worse. One of my biggest concerns was how I was treated as a woman. There were multiple times when I felt I was being spoken to as though I was incapable of understanding what was happening with my own vehicle or that my concerns were not legitimate. I am not a mechanic, but I am fully capable of understanding basic information about my vehicle, asking questions, noticing when something is wrong, and expecting straightforward answers. The interactions often felt dismissive and condescending, and it happened enough that my husband eventually had to step in and tell them the way I was being spoken to was not okay. I cannot claim to know anyone's intentions, but my experience was that I was treated differently and made to feel unintelligent simply because I was the woman dealing with the vehicle. That should never be necessary. Another major issue was the oil leak. On two separate occasions, I was told the vehicle had been repaired. Yet after being told it was fixed, there was still oil on the ground underneath it, and the vehicle was losing a quart of oil in less than three days. Being told twice that the problem was repaired while still seeing oil underneath the vehicle made it extremely difficult to trust what I was being told. The situation became even more confusing when Volkswagen Customer Care specifically told me not to return the loaner and to continue keeping it while everything was being handled. The dealership later requested the loaner back, leaving me caught between conflicting instructions. I spent hours trying to get answers, including more than six hours on hold with Volkswagen Customer Care. I should not have had to spend that much time chasing information about a situation that should have been handled through clear communication. I understand that mechanical problems happen and that a dealership does not control every part of a manufacturer's warranty or buyback process. My issue is how the situation was communicated and handled. After months of my vehicle being there, I was constantly having to call, wait, send messages, and advocate for myself just to get basic answers. This affected my transportation, finances, lease, and ability to make decisions about my next vehicle. I am leaving this review because I hope management takes situations like this seriously. Customers deserve consistent communication, clear answers, and to be treated with respect, regardless of gender. After everything I experienced, I ultimately took my business elsewhere and went with a different dealership. I can honestly say I have been much happier there. The difference in communication, professionalism, and how I am treated as a customer has been night and day. I wish I had gone somewhere else from the beginning.

The first car they showed us reeked of cigarette smoke. Then the Santa Fe. Every day we'd find something that didn't work. It had 4 USB port, but 3 were for charging only. The one and only USB port that connected the phone to the car was pushed down into it's slot and couldn't be reached. There was no voice for the navigation system and the voice activation didn't work. We took it back twice, they sent us to the Hyundai dealer ship. They just scratched their heads and didn't know what to do. I discovered that next to the cup holder was a slot for your cell phone. It had a charging pad in the bottom through a flap. However, when I shined a flashlight I could see food crumbs, loose change, and various pieces of garbage blocking the pad. All of these should have been fixed before selling it. Most of the employees at this Carmax struck me as lazy and just wanted to do the bare minimum to get paid. When I bought the car I financed through them knowing I'd get a better rate through my own bank on Monday. They said I had 3 days to arrange my bank to overnight them a check. When I returned the lemon they said it would take 10 to 14 days to get a check to my bank. Now that's the BS right there. Carmax Hagerstown. Lazy, can't do their jobs, the place is manned/managed by people who want to get paid for the least amount of work. Don't go here. They suck.
