They spent considerable time with me explaining how to compare units, what size I would need and other things that frankly, I would never have otherwise understood. They were able to remove my old unit and install the new one in a day. The new unit has been EXCELLENT this long, hot, summer---quiet, efficient and economical to operate. The technicians they sent out were friendly and knowledgeable and kept me informed all during the process. I really can't say enough good about this local, small business. If you need a new HVAC unit or service on an existing one, you can't go wrong calling them.

This past Monday, Scottco called my husband to discuss the problem. He explained the issue. The sweet lady in the office to him she understand and would get back with him. Hi there, I wanted…read moreto warn others regarding my recent experience with Scottco. I must say that I was quite disappointed with the situation that unfolded. As a proud Texan who has served and worn my uniform proudly, I value honesty and fairness above all else. When I booked their services, I had no idea that they were over an hour away. When we did a google search for Hereford this company showed up as if they were local. We had a overpowering sewer stench in the building only that added to our sense of urgency. In my desperation to take care of my employees, I unknowingly booked Scottco while my wife had already booked another company. As a small company with only two employees, the $420 trip charge was quite devastating for us. I believe in compensating others for their time and would never want to take advantage of anyone. I understand that mistakes happen, and I am willing to pay a fair amount for the services rendered. However, I was taken aback when I was told that the original charge was almost $600 as if I needed to be happy with the current. I believe in dealing with companies that operate with integrity and put their heart into their operations. I own up to my mistake and am willing to pay what is fair. I always strive to take care of my fellow man and would never want to feel like I'm taking advantage of someone's error. I believe in fair and honest dealings.

I originally left a negative review after a very disappointing warranty walkthrough experience. The…read moreconcerns I raised left me frustrated, angry, and feeling unheard. However, after escalating my concerns, Betenbough's leadership team personally stepped in. General Manager Bryan Watson remained engaged throughout the process, Vice President Corey Lusk personally called me to discuss my concerns, and President Cal Zant took the time to respond directly as well. While the original experience was not what I expected, I believe true leadership is demonstrated by what happens after a mistake is made. Bryan, Corey, and Cal did not ignore the situation. They listened, took ownership, remained engaged, and worked to rebuild trust. As a veteran and former leader myself, I respect accountability when I see it. I wanted to acknowledge the professionalism, responsiveness, and leadership shown by Betenbough's leadership team. Their willingness to listen and engage directly made a lasting impression on me and is the reason I am updating my review. I also want to make it clear that my opinion of the home-buying process has never changed. Courtney, Brandon, and Brenda were outstanding from start to finish. They were professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire purchasing process. My frustrations were centered on the warranty experience, not the people who helped us purchase our home. They represented Betenbough Homes exceptionally well, and I remain grateful for everything they did for my wife and me. Thank you to Bryan, Corey, Cal, Courtney, Brandon, and Brenda for your professionalism and for demonstrating what leadership and customer service should look like.

I am a Realtor, and I was personally present for this entire inspection/reinspection. This was one…read moreof the most unprofessional interactions I have experienced with a contractor during a real estate transaction. The owner, Aaron, had previously shown up at my seller's property without a scheduled appointment and was in their backyard without the sellers even knowing he was there. I met Aaron at the property this morning for a reinspection involving the sewer line, gas line, and water line. I was present for the entire interaction and personally witnessed his behavior and comments. Aaron was rude and confrontational with both the sellers and me. He questioned how they could have been living in the home with a gas leak and made comments suggesting that we were not properly disclosing issues. This was after another plumbing company had been at the property the previous day and cleared the sewer line. Rather than simply performing the reinspection professionally and reporting his findings, he repeatedly told me we were wasting his time and that it was ridiculous that he was even there. His son, who was also present, was rude and confrontational as well. What I found most unacceptable was that I asked Aaron FOUR separate times to leave the property. Instead of respecting that request and leaving, he continued standing there arguing and debating with me. He eventually attempted to apologize, but then became upset when I did not immediately accept the apology and questioned why I wouldn't accept it. He proceeded to tell me that he had plenty of work, that it didn't matter what I said, and even made comments about not liking what he does anyway. As a Realtor, I regularly work with inspectors, plumbers, electricians, contractors, and other professionals. I understand that inspections can uncover problems and that professionals may disagree about findings. That is not the issue here. The issue was the manner in which the homeowners and I were treated. A professional should be able to inspect a property, document their findings, and communicate those findings without insulting or accusing the homeowners or their Realtor. And when someone is asked to leave private property--especially FOUR times--they should leave. I personally witnessed this entire interaction, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to my clients or other real estate professionals.
