Haffners continues to suck. Tonight I purchased fuel at the pump using my debit card. Besides the normal screen selections, it asked me if I wanted a car wash (which I was going to do separately anyways). I said yes, and selected the wash I was interested in purchasing. At the end of the transaction it printed out my receipt with the code to use at the car wash. When I get over to the car wash I typed in the code, and the code did not work (I retried it several times)... Still a no go.
I got pissed, and went over to the gas station attendant who looked like he knew what had happened to me.
He said, unfortunately he knew what was happening and that he wouldn't be able to do anything for me. What is not being told is that the car wash you purchased is not for the laser wash but for the regular car wash that is only open during the day. I was very upset, but completely understandable of what he was telling me.
Haffners came up with a slick way throwing a promotion. The wording on the pump does not specifically tell you what car wash the code is good for - which is bullcrap - everyone knows codes are used at laser washes and not the old fashioned track washing.
Unfortunately I was screwed out of 11.00 (it could have been worse I suppose), but here's where it gets good.
Not only do you get a lower cash price at the pump for using debt/cash, but buy purchasing a car wash gets you even a better discount per gallon then the cash price would.
This special "low price" means that the attendant can't even refund you for the wash that you've just purchased, because the discount for your fuel is mixed into the mess.
Haffners found a slick way to beat around every obstacle. This company was taken over by a greedy corporation filled with office staff that are nothing by TRASH. read more
