We love the tightknit community that Hadley school provides! Family and friends initally recommended Hadley school for preschool but it is sooo much more! My daughter has been attending Hadley for over 7 years! Yes, 7 years! She started at 2 1/2, was supported during potty training, all through the COVID shut down, to graduating kindergarten and transitioning to elementary school! We love Hadley so much that after she graduated, She looks forward to attending their summer program, where she can reconnect with her old teachers and continue visit old friends. The teachers are kind and friendly. They have room to support their students and have individual play yards for the students and a POOL where they have the oppotunity to swim onsite during the summer (yes, they have a life guard & provide swim lessons too!). My daughter attended Hadley Preschool on a temporary basis for one year while we waited for an opening at another school closer to my job. During her time there, I was truly pleased with the care, love, and attention the teachers gave her. I cannot say enough good things about Hadley School. This is a place where my son has truly flourished, he absolutely loves this school. My son attended pre-school here. From the get-go, we were impressed with all that the school had to offer, such as music lessons, STEM, and swimming instruction. The teachers always plan fun activities for the students, are friendly, and communicate everything you need to know. There is an app that the school uses and parents can receive photos of their child throughout the day. Now that he has finished preschool, he still goes back to Hadley for summer program and during school breaks because he loves being there so much. My children went here in whittier. Had a great time & experience. 35 yrs later granddaughter went there. Had a great experience too. Staff friendly. You go through the office to get in. Sign in n sign out. My children and now there children seem to be very happy going here. My daughter just finished school this year and it is bittersweet. Seems I'm going to miss this school more than my daughter. This is a very professional, kind and well prepared pre shoot. Staff is amazing!! So attentive and kind and a step ahead. Kids are always having fun and learning. My child started Hadley when she turned 2 in April 2023. We started getting weekly incident reports mid November. The incidents happened weekly sometimes up to 3 times a week. My daughter would come home with bite marks, long scratch marks on her face. Always with the same child. I told the school I know they're learning how to share but can you please keep on eye on them or separate them since it was always with the same child. My daughter was the one getting injured. Every time I got a brightwheel notification I was scared something bad happened to my child. We talked to our daughter all the time about sharing and personal space. I asked the school if I can go and volunteer a day to help. No call back or follow up. I asked to speak to Ms Diane no call or follow up. The incidents kept happening weekly. Every time I went to the school I asked to speak to someone in charge and no one knows anything. I told them I'm going to take her out if no solution to the problem. In December I was so upset and again asked for answers. I kept msg the school that I need a response finally got a message from ms Diane. Ms Diane said it's normal and gave no solution to the problem. I told Ms Diane I won't have her go back to school to get hurt. Ms Diane never responded she never cared. Unfortunately no one at the school cares. No child should be getting hurt like this. No action to protect my daughter or any child. Btw it's night and day with her new school. When I pick her up she is happier and she is not coming home with injuries. read more

My daughter has been attending Hadley for 2 years. She loves coming to school to see the teachers, staff and her friends! They have an app and we receive videos, notes, photos and are able to communicate directly with her teacher or administration. In the summer the kids take swimming lessons! My son started at Hadley at 2 1/2 years old. Hadley school was the second school he had attended. Ever since we switched to Hadley, he LOVES school. To the point that if we drive by, he throws a fit, saying, "You went the wrong way Mom...you missed my school." SO CUTE... I love their app. It provides peace of mind knowing how your kid is doing at school. During the pandemic, they didn't allow on campus visitors, which made it even safer for the children. We'd prefer it stayed that way, but of course, we don't mind being able to pick up our kids from the "other side." Paying the tuition is well worth it. read more

Hadley was recommended by one of my friends because her son did TK and my niece attends their summer camp. Enrolling her was an easy decision, especially after learning that they help potty train. My daughter started a few months after her 2nd birthday and she's learned so much! She, of course, cried the first day and within 10 minutes they uploaded a picture of her playing on the app and I instantly felt better. They get to swim during the summer and warm months. They also give them healthy snacks throughout the day which is nice in case they don't eat all their lunch. It's also a very safe campus; they have cameras, doors are locked and it was completely closed during COVID. I also really appreciate the social skills she's acquired. She knows to take turns, share, say please, wait in line, etc. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good, safe and reliable childcare in Whittier. read more

My children have been attending Hadley school for approximately 1 year. We transitioned from a different preschool and let me tell you It was night and day. Hadley has surpassed all my expectations. All the staff and teachers have made me super comfortable with my children in their care. Especially during the pandemic, they remained in line with following and implementing all CDC guidelines. They use an app to keep me updated on my kids. It is super user friendly and I love that I am able to see their activities throughout the day; in addition to knowing when they napped and if they ate their lunch. The school is super active, clean, good academic program, and teachers are always happy and involved in child's needs with minimal to no teacher turnover. The staff is so wonderful and patient with the kids. I had my daughter enrolled there and currently have my son there, over three years there. Administration is very accommodating and with great communication. There is an app they use so you get to see your littles throughout the day. I feel like they do their best to accommodate children of different needs. As my kids have had their moments with behavior and pushing boundaries, I believe Hadley has done a good job navigating each situation. read more

We have had such a great experience enrolling our daughter at Hadley. She has been attending this school since she was four and is now turning seven. The teachers and staff are really great and very communicative. Since going to this school, my daughter is less shy and has excelled tremendously academically. I'm on doing 2 stars because they have a pool. Or else it would have been 1 star. My son is 2 years old for context. After reading the reviews it's clear they discriminate against children with disabilities. My son has a speech delay and was also labeled disruptive. When I spoke to the staff they stated they didn't know he had a speech delay when it was all over the paperwork I completed before his first day. The staff didn't even bother to look through his enrollment packet. From day one I was upset at the events that transpired. As soon as I dropped him off the staff did not introduce him to anyone or give him instructions. He was led slightly out of the office door and the teacher just let him stand there. She was on her phone. This was my child's first day and these were the first few minutes he was there. Eventually he was able to go in the play ground himself but the teacher was on her phone the whole time. By lunch time he was isolated from the class and sent to eat in the office. Why would you send a 2 year old to the office? These are supposed to be trained professionals & this is how they handled a 2 year old? The first day was awful for him. Then by the second day he was there apparently they let sick children stay on campus & my child caught a cold on his second day there. He was out for almost 3 weeks recovering. We were charged for every week he wasn't there.. Upon our return I witnessed two children being let on campus without masks and on the playground. At the playground you can hear the teachers threatening kids that they will be sent home if they don't comply. How are threats an acceptable form of behavior management, especially on such young children? The third time I had managed to get my sons mask over his mouth not his nose and proceeded to take him inside. The person at the front desk told him that he needed his mask over his nose and did not let him on campus. After literally 2 children walked in there with no mask what so ever. The teachers on the playground saw them too and gave the children a verbal reminder for their masks but no physical prompts on wearing them. I struggled in the parking lot for 45 minutes in the parking lot to get his mask on with no assistance from the staff and no empathy from them. Again, the trained professionals offered no assistance during this time. It's not their job but if you see someone struggling you should care. Which the staff just left me in the parking lot alone. We were charged for every week he wasn't at school because of their negligence letting sick children at the school. When I attempted to ask how my child was in contact with the sick children or how the policy worked for being absent and still being charged I got 0 responses in their app about my inquiries. I also received pictures of other people's children on the app claiming my son was in the pool. I had to remind them that my son wasn't even on campus. That just goes to show all they care about is money. The staff is clearly not trained to manage all children and if you want kind receptive place for your child Hadley School is not it. They didn't even know who my child was based on them sending me pictures of another child when he was even at school. I'm extremely disappointed that we spent all this money here. This was an awful experience for it being our first attempt at child care/school. read more

Took a tour and really liked the school. Looked like a great environment. However there is no security. The gate to get in is open to ANYONE and no one is watching the gate to see who comes in. Anyone has access to the kids. Super scary. read more

Bad experience. My daughter went there and ever since the beginning I seen little things that I though was odd. But I just ignored it. there were a few instances that I thought were handled poorly imo. I believe the business is run by a mother and daughter and I guess everyone else just works there. I just can't believe this is a place of education. and it was so unprofessional for the most part. And it was not cheap to send her there . Some of the bad reviews I truly believe bc I feel I was treated the same way. We have since moved on to another school and are happier. But if you take your kids here you will see or not not sure. Lovely school. My husband and I LOVE the family-like school environment at Hadley. Everyone is very nice and my child is known by name not only by his teacher but also the Director (Miss Diane), the administrator (Patty) and other teachers. They do a lot of field trips near the school year- round (fire station, park, musical at the local high school, etc), walks around the neighborhood & different activities during the Summer (i.e this past week they brought Hawaiian dancers to "teach" the kiddos their dances. That was a special treat for all the little ones who are into the Moana frenzy, very cute). They also have basic music lessons as part of their regular weekly activities -which my child enjoys a lot! They have 2 well-supervised pools for swimming time over the Summer (a small one for the daycare children and a bigger one for older children). One of the lifeguards is a teacher at the school (Miss Renia) who is also a licensed and practicing lifeguard. They also offer After-School Swimming lessons. Love this school & highly recommend! read more

My son has been here in pre k since summer and I have never seen him flourish more. Hadley has been so welcoming, personal and caring. They work individually with children and keep parents informed and involved. My son has been in three different preschools band he's loved this one best. Every day is a different activity and keeps the kids excited for school and being a part of their activities. My sons also started writing his name trying to read and do much more academic prep for kindergarten. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a personal caring touch on schooling I plan to have him there throughout fifth grade we love it so much. I'm so excited to watch him grow in mind, body, and spirit with this amazing school. I love their summer camp!!!! My kids have been going to the Girls Club for the past 7 summers. They split the girls from the boys and teach them very useful home ed; sewing, crochet, knitting, and lots of arts and crafts. Ms. Sam is great with the kids. They also have a swimming pool on the premises and it's a great form for the kids to stay physically fit. The school is not cheap, but I definitely believe it's worth every penny. The kids also learn about money management and how to raise funds for activities they want to do. They go to the public library on a weekly basis, teaching the children how to be responsible. They have you sign a behavior contract as to the do's and don'ts of the school. The owner is very conservative and I appreciate the values that are being bestowed on the kids. Tip: my only issue is that the Friday field trips is an additional charge that are not part of the tuition. read more

It's never easy leaving your child in the care of a stranger. From the moment we meet Miss Diane and toured the school, we were immediately comfortable and had the feeling of home. My son has been there for 1 year already. He started with Miss Rene and we absolutely love her!! She always treated and loved all the kids as her own. He has since moved up to the Preschool (4yo) class with Miss Melissa, and we love her just as much. My youngest son will be starting as soon as he turns 2 and we can't wait!!! My daughter started here 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with our decision as Hadley for her preschool. She absolutely loves it, she's learning so much and everyone here is SO incredibly nice. They treat my daughter like family and they've known her by name since day 1. I was so surprised when within a week they knew that I was her mother so when i would walk in to pick her up they knew whose child to call in! Awesome school and the owner is so nice. I love that she takes the time to know the kids too. It's a huge plus that they have an open door policy and you can come in anytime or call anytime to see how your child is. The school director, staff and instructors were friendly. The facility was clean and welcoming, but if your child does not adapt on the first day, expect them to be asked to leave the next day. Our three year old son, who has a speech delay and has received speech therapy through WCSD, attended this school for a day and a half. As another parent stated in their review, I was told that because he did not nap and was "disruptive" in class, it wasn't going to work out. It appears that Hadley School only has the resources for children who either adjust immediately to their environment or have been attending their school since a very young age prior to Pre-K years. read more

My son was kicked out of this school after 4hours for not napping when he was supposed to. This was his first time EVER at any school and they were told that. They assured me that they would work with him and help him get into a routine but they didn't. Instead I get a call to come get him and that it was not going to work out. The director compared my son to dog saying that he didn't react to the thunder like the other kids did. "your son is like a dog, some react to noise and some don't". I could not believe it. My husband picked my kids and said they did not refund everything I gave them. The next day I went back in and she refused to return my registration fee and some other small fees. After a half an hour of arguing (btw I never yelled or cursed) she said she would think about it. I told her she could think all she wants but that I would be there everyday until I got ALL of my money back. I got a check in the mail the next day. read more
