This review is mainly for customer service by phone, not for staff in Hackettstown or radiologists…read more They are now part of the Medical Group of NJ and called ImageCare at Hackettstown. Every time I call, whether it's to return a call from the woman who confirms appts, I think her name was Pam? Or to reschedule or schedule its a very long wait on the phone - today, I've tried 3 times and had to hang up - waited 15 minutes with no one picking up. Yes, that's bad - when there are phone services that will call you back when they are free. Do people spend all day trying to reach someone? How can you get back to the staff when you can't get through? Second is, they have farmed out most of their phone support to India. Difficult to understand them and then they will sometimes give you incorrect prep information or put you hold because THEY have to call the direct office to get the info! That's really bad as well - most times you have questions about preparation for a test and need correct info which can only come from experienced staff that works at the office! I know RAH/ImageCare is growing, but then spend the money on support here in the US!

MRA is so easy to work with - everyone I talked to and interacted with (on the phone, front desk…read morereceptionist, technician) was really kind and friendly. The technician in particular really helped to make an awkward situation more comfortable. I was there for some x-rays because I fell down a flight of stairs. Only thing that bothered me a little was that the technician gave me a preliminary assessment after taking the x-rays (but insisted that I should wait for the Doc to confirm) and told me my tailbone looked broken (or as my friend puts it, that I broke my a$$). My doc's receptionist called me a few days later to say that everything was fine, I could continue on with my usual activities, etc. So just a word of advice that when the techs tells you to wait for the Doc to confirm and make the diagnosis, do just that ... but I will say that I didn't like the idea of a broken a$$ and would've rathered not hear the preliminary assessment at all.

The technician for my head MRI w & w/o contrast was horrible. I chose this facility for the 'open…read moreair' MRI. It was horrible. She kept yelling 'stop moving', from her room..... She was unneccesarily harse. She made no attempts to make me more comfortable. I know the movement was from my breathing. They wrote on the report that she kept reminding me not to move. Also that the images were less than desired due to my claustrophobia. I was not claustrophobic, or nervous at the start...........I recently had a cardiac MRI, at St Luke's in a closed MRI, & it was a much much better experience. The technician took the time to make me feel better. I asked her about the breathing & movement. She said she would let me know when to take a deep breathe, hold it, & then release it. It was a a series of these & she got perfect pictures. Shame on the technician at Allentown Dx Imaging! Also, the report was limited, & I feel did not detect as accurate result.
