I've only seen Dr. Merkle himself a few times during visits, as I usually see his Physician's Assistants or Nurse Practitioners (either Donna or Beth), but they are always on point and extremely helpful. I never have an issue getting an appointment (even same day!), and the whole office and staff are just wonderful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Merkle and his team if you are in the market for a primary care physician.

There are never too many people in the waiting room and the wait is never long. They are very accommodating and will work to get your child scheduled as soon as possible. If they are an emergency sick appointment, you can have a wait, because he will fit everyone in. As for the person who stated no time for questions, I find that VERY hard to believe. He always answers questions and with a newborn, you go back and sit in his office after the visit and talk to him. Two of my friends switched over and met with him before and did not have to transfer records, but he likes to read up and if your child has any medical diagnosis, he will want to know about it and will research it, if need be...he will want to know every medical detail. He also only recommends the best specialists. He diagnosed my daughter after one urinary infection with reflux, because he asked the right questions. i truly believe she would have had a few infections, with any other ped. As for the older woman at the desk, true, I am not a fan. I also do not like that I will have a 6pm appointment and sign in at 5:55 and a person with a 6:15 could sign in at 5:50 and go ahead of me. That is one thing they could work on. I could understand if I were late.... He is hard to understand, but I have never had a problem, don't know why I can understand him, no problem, but the girls that work there can help. He is so great with kids and my girls adore him. His skills are top notch.

I really like the homey feel of the office and that I see the same doctor every time. The staff is very efficient and caring. The turn around of requested documentation is very quick. The doctors take the time to listen to the concerns and do not seem rushed. It is rare that I have to wait for more than 20 minutes after the appointment to be seen. More often than not we are seen right away and the nurses are great with the boys. In addition to my boys being treated by these doctors my brothers were also patients of this wonderful duo. Had a lesion/growth removed and was called a few days later to inform me that the sample was lost…read more Yes, LOST. They had no explanation as to how that could have happened and indicated that the vial/container arrived at the lab empty. The negligence that had to occur for this to happen is insurmountable. As a cancer patient in the throws of treatment for another type of cancer, a lost lesion sample is not only reckless and unforgiveable, but dangerous to a patients overall health. Because the entire growth was removed, there is no way to take another sample. Their solution was to offer me some antibiotic ointment for the area. If you value your life, stay as far away from this place as you can. Both my oncologist and the insurance company have been notified.
