Love this place! I walked in on Thursday with a dress I had just received that needed some alterations to be finished by Saturday. Everyone was so kind and Nilgun, the seamstress was a gem. She recommended the side be taken in a little as well as cutting a slit into the bottom of the dress so that I would be able to move. The alterations were ready on Saturday at 11am as promised and the dress fit like a glove. The best part: it was all under $50! I went to Hackensack Green Cleaners to dry clean a suit and button down shirt. I also asked them to help fix up a hole in the suit jacket, which they said they could tailor for an extra charge. The actual dry-cleaning was process was very fast and easy. I picked up my clothes two days later, and their text notification system was easy to understand. My issue with this business is for the alteration services regarding the hole in the jacket. They didn't fix the hole properly, leaving it looking not much better than before, despite it being threaded. When I asked for my money back, the manager told me that it is their policy to not refund any transaction, since the job had been finished. read more

While the home service is efficient, it's not sufficient. Matt picks up your clothes to be dry cleaned. He provides you with no ticket that he's taken your clothing, therefore there is no contract of service. You agree on a date to have your clothes returned to you? However that doesn't happen because you can't pay on line. Therefore you've got to go to Hackensack and pick up your clothes. Consequently when you call to ask questions Selma is incredibly unprofessional, inappropriate, humiliated and it makes for an overall awful Nightmare of a experience. Dropped off some coats that needed tailoring work. 1. The tailor is there part time it seems, I was told 3 times a week so turn around can be lengthy. But what really got me was the lack of communication. If there is a question about what needs to be done or clarification they do not communicate well at all. Instead my items were left hanging for a week until I decided to go pick them up. When I picked them up there was no apology or valid explanation. The lady at the register advised the tailor "texted" me in which I replied I never received a text. I dont mind paying for tailoring services as I understand it takes work...but bad customer service I cannot take. My business was taken someplace else in the area. My old dry-cleaners shut down and I wasn't sure where to go so I tried Oritani. It's a small operation. Maybe a family business? There is a gentleman and I think his wife and then another older woman who does the tailoring. I bought a few items in, maybe 7 or 8 and was pleased with their work when I picked them up. The woman at front is a bit elderly and sometimes seems to be a little confused. I was surprised to see a gentleman come in and fill out his own slip but the next time I did the same and they just checked each item and wrote the price. Odd but I didn't mind because she seemed to need help. Pricing is excellent by the way. I wish I had could remember exact pricing but they are very reasonable. You definitely have to have patience at times. I went back once when my clothes were supposed to be ready but one of the skirts wasn't done. He told me and was apologetic and I said, fine, I'd return in a few days. When I picked my items up the skirt was beautifully done. It was a white wool skirt with a leather band and belt and he did just as great a job, as another higher priced "specialty" dry cleaner. I took a dress and jacket set that was a favorite of mine -that I hadn't worn in a while because of a stain that I thought couldn't come out. Well -I was very happy that they were able to make it like new! My daughter's little fancy dresses look like new also. I now feel confident taking my more expensive items because they've done a great job with what I've taken in so far. They've been in the area for years. I'm going to keep coming here. It's old school for sure and the location isn't great. There is a very small, awkward parking lot. don't expect some grand operation- they seem to be just hanging on, but if want your items nicely dry-cleaned at a very reasonable rate, want to support a small mom and pop operation, and like nice customer service you should give them a try. read more

This place is the bomb, they are so much more professional than other places in the area. With the great service I expected a pretty big bill, but it really wasn't bad. Most pieces are around $5 for dry cleaning. Every item is tracked, but they don't use those staples and tags that damage clothing.
