I really hate to update this with a less than stellar review, but here goes... When they were in the building where 559 tacos is at, they were very good. I enjoyed their service at their other location because they constantly checked on you and I enjoyed their food. I recently came to the new location for a friend's bday and was very disappointed. I was with 8 other girls. EVERYONE (all 8 girls I was with) got their food except me. The waiter never told me there was going to be a wait on my food. There was no apology or anything. I kept looking back thinking they were going to come up to me and apologize and tell me my food was on it's way. Nope. They just kept avoiding eye contact with me so when I caught the waiter at the register, I asked him where my food was, he said it was on its way. I also didn't eat all day today either. I asked for no lettuce on my food, but when it came, it came without tomatoes. My food finally came after all the 8 plates came out after 10 minutes after I asked a few times when it was coming out. I wasn't trying to be impatient, but when 8 other girls got their plates already, I hadn't ate all day and I was the 2nd one that ordered, it was frustrating. I also asked for a spicier salsa, they brought me a bottle of something that seemed very watered down. When my bill came, I was thinking maybe they would be nice and add at least a 10 percent discount or comp my soda or something. Still, no apology, nothing and I usually don't do this ever, but I was so disappointed, I did not leave a tip. I think if they would have apologized and acknowledged me, then I most likely would have understood. Overall, if someone requested to come here, I will come with them. However, I don't live on this side of town and am closer to Toleditos and Don Tacha which has some amazing Mexican food. I wouldn't come here on my own. Absolutely disappointing. read more

I'm not a native Californian so it's been hard to find Mexican food that tastes the way I'm familiar with, I'm glad I gave this place a try! In addition to the chips and red salsa, they served some kind of pickled cabbage dip which was delicious. I had the lunch combo: 1 ground beef taco, 1 cheese enchilada. First off I'd like to say the Customer service was ok, the place is nicely decorated. The time we spent waiting for our food was unacceptable! 1 hour+ wait. The red salsa is super spicey and the cabbage picked salsa is not salsa people. They should give real salsas or a bean dip would be nice. The chips are bagged chips, just chips nothing special. After a little over an hour our food came out and the food was horrible!!!!! I had a campechana cocktail. The shrimp and octopus in it was so hard to chew. Thats the only seafood I saw in there with excessive amounts of chopped onions and cilantro. I took 3 bites and left it there. My hubby had the appetizer plate and we did not enjoy that either. The nachos were stale with the hard, dry melted cheese on top. And the price for horrible food is not cool. The margaritas were the only good thing. Save yourself and do not eat here. Heard about this place from a friend so decided to try it out. The service was super slow to begin with and pretty much stayed that way throughout our entire meal. Not sure if they were understaffed during this time or what but at least the staff were nice and friendly. The food was pretty good. Chips were warm, salsa was decent. Chicken fajitas actually came with rice & beans. I feel like you don't get that too often, most places you have to order that as a "Side". Also, they have 2 single person use restrooms (1-men; 1-women) that were fairly clean. Nothing fancy. Although I think the "soap" is actually hand sanitizer. It didn't really feel or smell like soap. Overall, don't think I can say this place was the best I've ever had/been for Mexican food but it was mostly good. Oh my. My friends had heard about this place and we wanted to try a new to us Mexican restaurant. For some reason, I was in the mood for seafood which does not happen to me often. I ordered the seafood burrito. First of all the price was amazingly affordable at $17.50. It was stuffed with seafood: shrimp, scallops and I believe crab. It came with a creamy sauce on top; it was garnished with avocado. Oh my goodness was it delicious. I've never had a burrito like this, it was seasoned just perfectly and the creamy sauce just made the seafood float onto your pallet so that you wanted to gobble it up. My friends had the chicken tacos and they really enjoyed those as well. They said the seasoning on the chicken was quite well done. In addition, when they bring the requisite chips and salsa, in addition to a red salsa they also provide a little cabbage salsa with finally chopped cabbage and I believe some onion. It is not terribly spicy. It was really refreshing and fun to have that with your chips prior to your entrée arriving. This restaurant sports a full bar. Although when we arrived a little after 5 PM there were not many people there, by the time we finished dining by 6:30 PM, the restaurant was packed. This is the new location for hacienda Tequila. It's bigger and nicer than the old location. It has a old Mexican feel and a big bar area for u tequila drinkers. The workers were friendly and gave good service. The have nice margaritas and the horchata was fresh and had a great taste. The salsa and chips that are complimentary has a kick but pretty good. They even gave like a cabbage type of salsa it was good. I had tamale and enchilada plate . The sauce was awesome and I really liked the tamale it was tasty and good . I recommend!!! Hacienda Tequila has become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Clovis. It is clean, hand sanitizers were available and the employees were masked. I ordered the Tacos de Pescado and my order arrived in a timely manner. My plate came with spanish rice and refried beans, which were both perfectly cooked and flavorful. It also came with guacamole and pico de gallo. My order came with 3 tacos with a fairly good size filet white fish in corn tortillas.It was delicious and had great flavor, everything tasted so fresh. read more
