When we spoke with the soft-spoken Lowe's employee I told him what we were trying to accomplish. He said he checked with the delivery company and they could deliver the fridge the following day. We also got the installation service so my dad didn't have to worry with it. This was Saturday before Labor Day. Later that day Lowe's called him to say the delivery guys would be there between 4pm-8pm. We had to go back to Texas so I told him I'd be watching through his security cameras to make sure everything was completed. They never showed, never called. My dad stayed up late waiting for them. This is unacceptable. On Labor-day, they called and said there would be calling to deliver the fridge on Tuesday. Fast forward to this morning: When the delivery people arrived they said they could not unhook the old fridge and remove it because of the copper wire connecting the water line. WTF??? My poor father got very upset because he cannot "go online and find a plumber." He's 95 and not good with searching on the internet. I got my brother involved and between us we got the delivery people to at least leave the fridge in the garage. Now we have to get a plumber out, have the line replaced and add a valve, THEN call Lowe's back to finally install the fridge and put in the ice maker. The whole thing is incredibly frustrating. Lowe's says hey, it was all in the fine print of the contract you signed. (Isn't it always the case?) My father says surely he isn't the only house they've delivered to with copper water lines. They should be more prepared. This was not the delivery company's fault. The owness is on Lowe's to make this right. This is not the way to treat our Korean War veterans! Lowe's must do better, and get better training for their employees to ask questions of folks before hand. It takes less than 2 minutes to say "do you have copper water lines? Do you know if you have copper water lines? Our guys can't touch copper, it's a regulation. So you might check that before you purchase this." See how easy that was? Do better, Lowe's. With internet sales rising, you're becoming the showroom for Amazon. Think on that. Bad customer service doesn't win you sales. Good customer service speaks volumes.

Sunday afternoon went and needed a 4x8 board sawed for us. Waited 5 minutes by the saw, then went…read moreto the cashier in the back. She kindly called out for "Customer assistance in lumber" over the P.A. Waited another 8-9 minutes and I went back to her and she was surprised nobody came by. Again she called out on the P.A............10 minutes later nothing. Went back to the same poor girl trying to help us and she said there is a button at the desk where it will put it on repeat. By this time another 2 customers were lined up behind us. Pushed the button and like clockwork, every 30 seconds an automated message went out for customer assistance. 10 minutes go by and nothing. By this point there were 4 different people in line and the call for assistance had been going for 35 minutes. Finally left the store empty handed and went to the Home Depot in Tulsa. It was actually quicker to drive to Tulsa and back than endlessly wait around the Stillwater store hoping someone was in the lumber department on a Sunday. When we left the 4 people behind us dwindled down to 2 and presumably still there. Waiting. Lowe expections they will see me in this store again.

Not pleased with my likely only experience with SBC. I needed to replace a door. My first visit out…read morethere was great. A nice college guy was very helpful so much so I went back in a couple days and ordered a door. The lady who places the order was nice. She seemed new. Asked another guy for assistance. After he got finished small-talking he finally came to assist. This should have been my first clue. Anyway, door was to be in in a few days and they would call. Almost two weeks later I call to check in it. The guy doesn't seem to want to help me. Doesn't ask for my photo # to look up the order after he can't find it by my name. I offer it. He sneakily said it would be helpful. After being on hold he said he'd have to call me back...obviously stalling. I wait. No call. So, I go out. Same guy gets up to help me AFTER a guy asks for help. I give him my receipt. He Looks it over and finally says it's around back go get it. I ask about the mill work I've paid for...clearly marked on the ticket. Oh, yeah they can do it I just need to bring in the door. I ask if I need any paperwork or anything. No, he'd let them know. We'd be back in 30 minutes. Back in less...and no one has a clue. They guy in the yard can't do the mill work. He doesn't even know if the door is there. The guy who does the doors is gone! So, we have to come back. Have no idea even if the really have the door I paid for. Sum it up, they old guy in the office didn't want to help me at all. He wasn't going to call me back. I wouldn't be surprised it they lost my order. I think he was pissed I was making him work til noon on Saturday. My husband was letting me handle it since I ordered it. But, it was fairly obvious he didn't like dealing with a woman. So much for trying to deal locally.

Unlike the other posting about a door, I had to special order a door due to needing a 6 inch jam. They told me in advance that it would be 30 days as it was a special order and I said that would be fine. I pretty much knew that in advance as that is what every place else had said also. Anyway, I went out to see if the door was in and they told me that the factory had messed up the special window in the door and they had shipped it back and that it would be 1 more week. I was good with that considering I would get exactly what I was wanting. It came and because of the delay they even brought it to my house at no charge. That's service and I will definitely shop there in the future.

Well to start I used to go in to Atwoods all the time but don't anymore. Its not organized or clean…read morein alot of areas. They also are hit or miss on how they treat their customers. And treat theit employees even worse. Sometimes its hard to get load outs to help with the heavy lifting. They are kinda over priced as well. Seen alot of management standing around talking or upstairs.

Ordered barn door. Confusions between wood and window people. Delayed. Then damaged in 2 spots…read moreupon arrival. Did not opp to send back because already 4 week delay. But the worst was the stain all over the windows. Took 3 1/2 hours to clean but only paid $ 100 for my time. Great if I worked at mc Donald's but I am a physician making 150$/hour so you calculate what they thought my time was worth. DON'T trust them.
