Lowes Corporate needs better training practices for their stores for assisting the elderly! My elderly father needed a new refrigerator. We live in texas, he lives here. When we spoke with the soft-spoken Lowe's employee I told him what we were trying to accomplish. He said he checked with the delivery company and they could deliver the fridge the following day. We also got the installation service so my dad didn't have to worry with it. This was Saturday before Labor Day. Later that day Lowe's called him to say the delivery guys would be there between 4pm-8pm. We had to go back to Texas so I told him I'd be watching through his security cameras to make sure everything was completed. They never showed, never called. My dad stayed up late waiting for them. This is unacceptable. On Labor-day, they called and said there would be calling to deliver the fridge on Tuesday. Fast forward to this morning: When the delivery people arrived they said they could not unhook the old fridge and remove it because of the copper wire connecting the water line. WTF??? My poor father got very upset because he cannot "go online and find a plumber." He's 95 and not good with searching on the internet. I got my brother involved and between us we got the delivery people to at least leave the fridge in the garage. Now we have to get a plumber out, have the line replaced and add a valve, THEN call Lowe's back to finally install the fridge and put in the ice maker. The whole thing is incredibly frustrating. Lowe's says hey, it was all in the fine print of the contract you signed. (Isn't it always the case?) My father says surely he isn't the only house they've delivered to with copper water lines. They should be more prepared. This was not the delivery company's fault. The owness is on Lowe's to make this right. This is not the way to treat our Korean War veterans! Lowe's must do better, and get better training for their employees to ask questions of folks before hand. It takes less than 2 minutes to say "do you have copper water lines? Do you know if you have copper water lines? Our guys can't touch copper, it's a regulation. So you might check that before you purchase this." See how easy that was? Do better, Lowe's. With internet sales rising, you're becoming the showroom for Amazon. Think on that. Bad customer service doesn't win you sales. Good customer service speaks volumes. read more

In store service was exceptional fixing an issue with a defective delivered dryer unit. John at customer service and Keegan/James at appliances all were understanding and helpful. Mitchell the driver also was great. I will never order appliances through Lowe's.com again because of the headache of delivery logistics compared to in-store. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - Hardware Stores Near Me - Stillwater, Oklahoma

Sunday afternoon went and needed a 4x8 board sawed for us. Waited 5 minutes by the saw, then went to the cashier in the back. She kindly called out for "Customer assistance in lumber" over the P.A. Waited another 8-9 minutes and I went back to her and she was surprised nobody came by. Again she called out on the P.A............10 minutes later nothing. Went back to the same poor girl trying to help us and she said there is a button at the desk where it will put it on repeat. By this time another 2 customers were lined up behind us. Pushed the button and like clockwork, every 30 seconds an automated message went out for customer assistance. 10 minutes go by and nothing. By this point there were 4 different people in line and the call for assistance had been going for 35 minutes. Finally left the store empty handed and went to the Home Depot in Tulsa. It was actually quicker to drive to Tulsa and back than endlessly wait around the Stillwater store hoping someone was in the lumber department on a Sunday. When we left the 4 people behind us dwindled down to 2 and presumably still there. Waiting. Lowe expections they will see me in this store again. read more

They usually have what I need, but not lots of selection for fixtures, fans, nobs, that kind of stuff. If you want lumber or elbow joints or bird feeders, Lowe's is your place. Large parking spaces. read more

ASM Nathan is one lazy and pathetic guy. I spent an hour and a half walking around the store just for backer board screws because the "pro desk" didn't know where they were, the old grumpy hardware guy walked me back to the pro desk to show me the limited un-stocked shelf they had tucked in the corner. I then went to customer service who said they don't have the 575 count box I wanted so she had the old grumpy guy from hardware climb a ladder to get me the 140 count boxes at $11 a piece. Then I found a guy Kevin who did in fact find the larger box of 575 count for only $28.47 (as advertised on Lowe's website) but upon check out they charged me $33. I also ordered 8 pieces of the 100% waterproof backer board for $24 a piece and they said they had 35 of those but after I paid and drove around back to the abyss, no one could find them. The entire time wasted was over 1.5 hours and ultimately I left with no backer board because not one associate could find the product and Nathan the ass-istant store manager wouldn't even get off his rather larger back side and come out of his office. I recorded him for minutes just sitting in his office with 2 other associates and not once did he even acknowledge that I was at his door. This place flat out sucks and I am tired of hearing we are short staffed, if the staff that is hired to do their job can't, then why have any staff, computerize and install robots because they would be better then these fools. Definitely will never be back to this store since there is not one competent person from customer service to the pro desk to management. read more

Worst customer service ever. was supposed to have a washer and dryer delivered today. only the washer showed up. the delivery driver said I would have to call the store. waited forever to get someone to answer the phone and was hung up on twice. The 3rd time I was told they had no idea what to tell me and I would have to call back tomorrow. Terrible. This was a large purchase and I will not be making another. read more

I am so disappointed in your service and your product I have been without a washer working in my house for over a month now and no one can get it fixed any sooner I have been on the phone all morning with lowes manager, your service department and the acs service department I am so disappointed they have lied to me on several occasions and tells your service department different things than they tell me I didn't know it would be such a big ordeal to get an appliance warranted out I Will never buy another appliance from you or ever buy a warranty with anything from you and I will tell everyone how crappy your service, appliances and your warranty is all I want was a washer that works and service for it in a timely manner but this is the worst I've ever seen I hope this is worth the bad review I am going to leave on your business honestly how hard would it have been to just warranty out a $400 washer and make a customer happy? I don't like to put people out there just for making a mistake but this is my living room. Dealing with Lowe's the past two weeks has been a NIGHTMARE to say the least. We made an appliance order on March 11th and were told we would have our appliances delivered the following Monday. They told us our fridge was in stock and the stove would be ordered. Well on Friday we moved into our new home and called to see if we could pick up the fridge because we knew it was in stock. So we did. They told us stove would be delivered no later than Wednesday(not Monday) Then I got a call Friday night asking if we picked it up. I said yes. ( they should have taken a note) Monday I called about the delay on delivery and they said they have no notes saying Monday. So I said okay. I go in Wednesday because I can't get an answer and they told me I'll for sure have it Thursday. Well Thursday about 4 o'clock I get a message from Shane saying they delivered our stove AND our fridge. I am an honest person so I called numerous time to be put on hold and disconnected to return the fridge. So I said forget it. I called this morning to talk to a manager and she said she was "sorry and I will have someone call before picking it up" I have no idea when that will be so I called this again and again to be disconnected on hold. So that's why I am writing this. We have a birthday party tomorrow and have been trying to replace our floors with this fridge in our way. So hopefully now I can get someone's attention to come get this thing or I can deliver it to them but I will not promise the condition it will be in. Ps- don't even get me started on the flooring nightmare. The onlyPositive thing from that was a man named Eric in flooring. He is the only reason I didn't take my business elsewhere. Worst customer service both in person and especially over the phone. People do not know what they are doing at least at this Lowe's. I strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

We have tried to get a dog door made to fit our door 4x and it still is not correct. We ordered out first door in July and we will not have the correct one made until November 1st and that's IF it's made correctly. We are having a refrigerator delivered today and they said they would call in the morning to let us know what time they would arrive. It is already 11:00am and they have not called. I called them to ask what time and no one was at the delivery desk. Then the customer service lady said "ya I know nothing about that...so they'll call an hour before". It is homecoming weekend. We have plans but we have to wait for this call from Lowe's and who know what time it will be when they call. This is truly the worst Lowe's we have ever been to. They haven't had a store manager since July and no one can answer our simple questions. It's unfortunate this is the only store like this in Stillwater or we would go somewhere else. It is beyond frustrating that they are such a horrible store but still get the business because there's nothing else in Stillwater. read more

Tried the pick up service for the first time today. Let's just say the employees need to be more trained on this processes as no one knew where I needed to go to actually pick up my items. Talked to 3 different people and was told something different each time. read more

Very dirty, I love Lowes just looking around and getting inspiration. This store was so unorganized and cluttered that I ended up not buying anything. I was very disappointed in the appearance of this store. Mostly because I know the standard that other Lowes are held to. Hope to see it's better next time I'm in Stillwater. read more

Friendly folks, but you sometims have to search for one for help, then hope you get the right guy/girl that knows about the project you've got going. Huge selection of quality products. They do rainchecks and honor them months after issuing them. That's always a huge plus. read more

Bought a stove from them Monday, and accepted today (Saturday) for delivery. They called on Friday to say delivery would be between 3-5 p.m., then this morning they called to say delivery would be after 4:00 p.m. I called at 5:30 and the mgr says the truck in in Perry making two deliveries. I asked if they would be here by 8:00 p.m., and the manager said maybe. On a $ 600 + purchase, you expect a little better service than this. The manager said they had a problem with the morning delivery person. If they were staffing stronger (ie, not trying to keep their labor costs down so much) this wouldn't happen. So far they've ruined 5 hours of my day, and this story isn't over yet/. read more

I have mixed experiences with this Lowes store. Some areas are well managed and some are so badly managed it's unbelievable. First, let me say the people who work inside the store--sales, cashier, specialists--have been great and very professional this year. Second, I have a business account through Lowes and tend to spend a lot of money each time I shop there, with multiple large construction items scheduled for delivery--thousands of dollars per year. Third, the reason I'm giving Lowes of Stillwater such a low rating--their delivery drivers and delivery managers mess up my order every time and cause me stress, wasted time, and just plain disrespect me as a customer. They say they will deliver one day and I wait all day and they don't deliver. This promising delivery and then not delivering has sometimes stretched out for 3-5 days of waiting per order. Each time they say they will deliver it and then cancel. Then, when the items finally arrive, the drivers are often rude and disrespectful, and often deliver the wrong items or damaged items--once even delivering a truckload of supplies that had mold and was wet and warped from rain. Today, yet again, I'm waiting for my delivery. Spent over 1700 dollars and now for the third day in a row of waiting after I've been told the order will be delivered each day for 3 days in a row and it has not been. The customer service people tend to not know what's going on or even lie, always saying the items are "on the truck" but the items don't arrive, even though I live only a 1-2 minute drive from the Lowes store. Later, I'll call and they'll say the items are being loaded onto the truck, even though hours before they told me the items were already on the truck. Lowes, why lie to your customers? Why treat your customers badly, especially when they spend so much money at your store? And, why allow the delivery people at Lowes to ruin things like this? I wish we had a Home Depot in town. Meanwhile, I'm going to start shopping at Stillwater Building Supplies, which has great products and wonderful, professional delivery drivers! read more
