This is a great consignment/thrift/hardware store. I've never really seen anything like it! When you enter you go into a small room with lots of home goods-- furnishings, appliances, books, lamps, decor, etc. They have lots of things, from washing machines to cool midcentury modern dining tables to seasonal decor to a pottery kiln (the last time we were there!). It's clear that the stuff in this room has been carefully picked through and the person making the selections on what to include has a good sense of taste.
Then, if you turn left, you enter a big room with lumber, sinks, hardware, paint (!!), windows, cabinets, piping, light fixtures, and much more. I found two light fixtures that were super close to something specific I've been looking for. The problem is, the things I've found online have been over $1000. These were about $10.
Not everything is in great condition but it requires a lot less patience and sorting through than your average antique store. You could restore a historic home using tons of stuff from here, and that's what we intend to do! We've also heard from others that the things here turn over fairly quickly, so it's worth going again and again. (We intend to do this as well! :) ) read more
