Of all of the thrift shops in the area, this one is by far the cleanest, most affordable, and customer service oriented of them all. The volunteers in the store are so friendly and immediately greet you walking through the door. The organization in this shop is wonderful. The "5 stars" definitely goes towards their pricing. Before going into Hospice this day, I had already been to the others and was actually quite taken back on the other shops' prices. I understand there is a fine line of pricing items to support the organization in which they represent and not just giving items away, but before going Hospice I had left every other thrift shop empty handed strictly due to the cost of items. However, I left Hospice with a few great items and all at a great, fair price!

I am very sad to hear that they have closed. I remember when it moved from Sprague to Garland and I can only hope it is able to find another location. The owner and his daughter were always extremely kind, calm, and interesting people to share space with. This shop played a powerful role in an entire group of young people's self expression by providing an affordable way for us to experiment with different styles. (They do have a couple painted pieces, but many more are natural wood).
