Chicken Shawarma they should call the mega Shawarma
    Mike B.

Habibi Kebab is one of those hidden gems you want to keep a secret but just can't stop talking about. This little hole in the wall is serving up some of the best food I've had in a long time. I ordered the chicken shawarma, za'atar fries, and a side of hummus -- and honestly everything was perfect. The hummus had just the right amount of tahini and olive oil -- it was smooth, rich, and fresh. You could tell it was made with care. The za'atar fries were something totally unique. I've never had fries like that before and honestly they were on point. A different experience for sure, but in the best way possible. The shawarma was absolutely fire. And let me tell you -- this thing was HUGE. I'm talking the size of a Chipotle burrito. Literally the biggest shawarma I've ever had in my life. The best part? There are no fillers. It's just pure meat and goodness. The chicken is clearly high quality, the crunch is spot on, and every bite is packed with flavor. They do not cut corners here. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and go. Habibi Kebab is the real deal and I will definitely be coming back.

Pre formed meat patties with fake grill marks.

I'm sorry to say this because I was excited for this place to open but it was TERRIBLE. Couple of nights ago we picked up food to take home. First strike was the gyro meat is pre formed strips with fake grill marks that they just warm up. Second strike was the chicken and beef shawarma was old and completely dry and hard. Third strike was the tzatziki sauce was spoiled!! Gross! Don't waste your money here, we have much better options in town

Update Response for the owner: You claim my review is dishonest. That's a joke. The salad I ordered which was the Greek salad states on your menu that it is made with cucumbers. The salad I was given had no cucumbers and was made from a cheap salad kit with a few sour olives. The dolmas were the smallest I have ever had and they were also not good. As for the lamb and beef there was no flavour and the meat was dry and nasty. Your restaurant was the worst Mediterranean style food I have ever been served. It was a total waste of hard earned money. No sir I will never return to your restaurant. I wish zero stars was an option.

Top: flaffel wrap. Bottom: beef & lamb wrap (both ordered "crispy"

So happy to see a new place in Marina where the brewery used to be. Came around 330 for a late lunch & was immediately greeted. Service was fast. We each ordered a shawarma wrap both "crispy" but when we got it, only one side was "crispy" I was expecting something like a chimichanga I guess. Great flavors on both wraps. 1 beef/lamb & 1 flaffel. We ordered some flaffels to go. Definitely home made w/great flavor. Will be back to try other items on the menu!

Baba Ghanouj is delicious but need to give 1 more free pita or naan refill

The good! - friendly service - huge menu selection - generous wrap filling, delicious authentic seasoning - beautiful job converting the bar Caveats: - the Baba Ghanouj is a large portion but you only get 1/2 naan, when we asked for an extra naan they brought 1 pita and charged $1.99 - Be prepared: $5.00 for soft drinks and 3% charge for using a credit card

The value proposition is unmatched in the area. Huge wrap filled with meat for $15-16, tasty as well. Very quick service. I recommend

The restaurant is a little hard to find the first time around, as it is in a small strip mall, so really look for the address sign on the left as you drive up Reindollar from Del Monte Ave.

The food is delicious! The Chicken wings with spice sriracha bomb! the smash burger and fries bomb! Hummus with pita bread bomb! And the Mediterranean fries with your choice of meat bomb, bomb!! Not only was the food on par but Hamada as bartender making drinks on point you can't go wrong with the General Historic Bar if your looking for a cool environment with chill vibes and great food and drinks this is the place. I've tried to restrain myself from writing a review because it may come off like I'm biased and plus I wanted to keep Gate keep this place as my bar and didn't want anyone to know but this place deserves it's flowers! Located…read moreright in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea, inside Carmel Plaza off Ocean and Mission, this family-owned and family-run restaurant opened in early 2024 and has quickly become one of my family's favorite places to eat. I am an absolute foodie, and over the years I have honestly become harder to impress. I've been disappointed many times by restaurants that look great but do not deliver when it comes to quality, flavor, consistency, or service. JEJU Kitchen is different. From the first time we tried it, it felt special. The food is fresh, creative, flavorful, and made with care. It has a new and exciting twist on Korean food, with touches of California and even a little Hawaiian influence mixed in. In my opinion, it is the best twist on Korean food in Monterey County. One of the absolute standouts is the coconut shrimp. These are not your average coconut shrimp. They are the largest coconut shrimp I have seen since the late 1990s at Chart House. I believe they use a very large shrimp count, something like 8/12 count shrimp, which means only about 8 to 12 shrimp per pound. These are extra, extra large, and they are incredible. Even though they are technically an appetizer, several members of my family order them as their main dish because they are that good. My family absolutely loves them. The kimchi is also excellent, and they have so many other great dishes, but one of my personal favorites is their kimchi burger. It is such a fun and delicious twist on a classic burger. The balance of flavors is exactly what makes JEJU Kitchen so unique. I have also uploaded photos of the jalapeño smashburger and the jalapeño chicken sandwich, both of which are outstanding. You can choose onion rings, fries, or a side salad, and honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of them. The staff is another big reason this place stands out. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and always there to help. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they are building. The service feels genuine, not forced, and that makes a big difference. In a town with so many restaurants, it is refreshing to find a place that combines great food, warm hospitality, and a family-run atmosphere. My family has lived in Carmel for over 12 years, and I have personally been visiting Carmel Plaza for more than 35 years. JEJU Kitchen is one of the best additions I have seen come to the plaza. It brings something fresh, creative, and much needed to the area. One thing to know before going: this place gets very busy. I highly recommend making a reservation. If you do not have one, they do have bar seating that is first come, first served. You can also order through DoorDash or directly through their website, which I do regularly. Just keep in mind that on busy weekends, they may be too backed up to take online orders, which is completely understandable given how popular they have become. JEJU Kitchen is warm, flavorful, creative, and sincere. Whether you are local, visiting Carmel, or just walking through Carmel Plaza, this is a restaurant worth trying. I hope they continue to grow, and I would be very excited to see them open more locations around the Peninsula.
