Getting anything free from Disney is an appreciated rarity. There's a lot of cool neat trivia about how sour dough is made, the yeast cultures that go into it, historical facts about Boudin, and you can watch them make and bake the bread right there behind a glass window. From start to finish, it's a nice activity that's not super busy and not cortisol spiking at Disney. Honestly, each time I've gone here, all the tables are full, but I don't blame them. It's indoors covered seating and a place you can enjoy your bread bowl and enjoy the scenes of making (and I guess breaking) bread. There's a small cart outside selling the sourdough (regular loaf and cool seasonal/Disney shapes) and it's right next to Aunt Cass's cafe if you would like a bread bowl and some chowder! Love it!

Just bad timing on that one, so no negative marks for that. Apparently they used to have video screens but now don't even have that in showing you how sourdough bread is made. Don't get me wrong, I love the bread and I love the adorable Mickey Mouse design - Vampire Mickey during Halloween! And other seasonal specials throughout the year. All I knew is that there was going to be food and wine for duration of an hour and a half and so I was super excited about that! Once our group of girls got seated in the trolley our host for the night explained what our tour was going to entail. We were going to visit ten local restaurants around old town Orange and enjoy different kinds of wines along the way. We each got our wine sippy cup and we were off! As we drove around Old town Orange I really enjoyed learning about the history of the city as well as learning about some of the historic sites. I actually live in Orange and I never knew that the center park was actually called the Plaza and not the circle. When we were ready to stop at the first place I was actually surprised that we didn't have to hop off but actually the restaurants brought the food to us in the Trolley! Each place gave us a small introduction of their food and business and gave us some small bites of some of their popular dishes. By the end of the tour I was pretty stuffed. I'm not sure it's exactly like riding a bike--but Karen made me feel completely at ease from the start. Kiwi, my horse, was incredibly patient and gentle with me. I swear she knew I needed a little extra TLC! It made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress-free. I even got to do a tiny bit of trotting, which was such a fun bonus. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try horseback riding or get back into it!

I've put in a second request for a tour for two people on the date I requested, and so far no one has responded, so this one may also be canceled. At least two Viator representatives have called and sent email messages to try to get my tour confirmed, but they've not gotten a response. I also sent a message to the tour company asking that they respond to my pending tour request, but no response. I have given this tour company one star for poor customer service.

Taking place every Saturday, this is a must do if you are a local, or even just visiting the area. It's located near downtown Orange, but not right in the heart of it so parking is not as difficult. (Just be mindful of permit parking streets and college permit parking lots). It's also located near the college so you can see some of the beautiful buildings that Chapman has to offer. Plan to spend 30-60 minutes here, the earlier the better! Hours are from 9:00am- 1:00pm
