Living in the USA and visiting family in Toronto I always have to get my hair cut at H2GOA. Hannah or any of her hair dressers are amazing. While having your hair washed, you get an amazing neck and head massage. The staff makes you feel extremely comfortable. I got an amazing Angled Bob hair cut. I went in only wanting a cut and Hannah told me I should get a Glazing. She told me toner would make my hair luminous and a bit darker but I did not know my hair would turn completely pitch black. Sad to say that I personally would not return to this salon. It was my first time here on a Saturday during the long weekend and it was very busy. I'm not sure why appointments exist when they have trouble servicing clients on time? Along with all the staff running around and clients being moved around like they're playing musical chairs, the salon did not seem as clean as others. There were random hair towels lying on the counter and on top of hair tools. After cutting my hair, the employee put the pair of scissors into a tin with other scissors but I'm not sure if there was solution in it or how they keep track of what is clean or used. My cut hair lay on the ground and no one actively cleaned it up. About 3 different employees blew dry my hair and one of them did it pretty aggressively moving her hand quite roughly and quickly through my hair (kinda like how my mum dried my hair as a kid). The hair wash was literally just shampoo on top of my roots but none on the bottom of my scalp and lasted 5 mins max. If you want a relaxing and clean experience to treat yourself, it's better to go elsewhere. For the price and tip I paid, my old salon was definitely better and cleaner. read more

High anxiety & chaotic salon environment After coming back a 2nd time to double check my thoughts about this salon I'm saddened to say I will not be returning The space is tiny- without adequate seating for current customers and incoming. It just seems like they overbook their slots so they can maximize on $$. About 25 minutes in to our appointment time we were finally asked to go to the back for a hair wash (this was in no way one of those relaxing washes. It was rushed and it felt like they just did it for the formality) Sitting there with wet hair there weren't any chairs available to get our hair dried until maybe 10 minutes later. After hair drying more waiting for about 45 minutes until the director, Hannah who we scheduled with, finished with her clients and was free. The cut took about 15-20 minutes. It's obvious that making an appointment in advance doesn't really matter here because we still waited close to 2 hours for our simple cuts (no treatment no perm just a cut) Hannah is a business woman so I can understand she wants to socialize with each & every person- but at the cost of your current clients time is just not a good feeling. The constant shouting and instructions from her to her other coworkers just makes the environment even more high anxiety & stressful. I want to assume the employees she hires are competent to perform their tasks without being told what they need to do every single time........ Right?!?! For those individuals with plans and are on a time crunch I wouldn't recommend coming here. TLDR: They only do well in hair damaging services, perms, colouring, etc. Do not go there for stylist haircuts cause they wouldn't give a damn about attention and detail to your cuts, it's not enough $$ for them compared to the other services. Now, I don't care where a stylist is from, but the lack of communication about the switch was a red flag. I showed Benjamin reference pictures, emphasizing how much I wanted to trim my front hair, bangs, back of the hair. However, as he snipped away, I noticed something was off. My hair was way too short and thin - a far cry from what we discussed. Maybe it's my androgenic alopecia acting up, or perhaps Benjamin went scissor-happy. Midway through the cut, I decided to bail. Wouldn't return. It was chaotic, humid and messy in there. The stylist didn't speak English, which didn't need to be a problem. Communication can happen with gestures but she didn't attempt. I showed her a photo and she showed the owner who then said, "your hair isn't this length, so she can't do it. Don't do this again (bring a photo that isn't exactly the same)". She had a rude way of expressing this. It was just a medium bob graduated bob, could have easily been done with my hair length. Absolutely horrible experience. 1. Chaotic Environment People are crammed into the hair salon like sardines. This didn't really bother me but I realized because of huge backlog of other customers they can service, they don't really care to do a good job with each individual customer. 2. Stylists don't listen to you I booked an appointment with Mi Young and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She took a 2 second glance and said "oh Korean Style" and started cutting my hair. She asked me no clarifying questions in between (perhaps her English is not good) so I assumed she got it. The end result looked absolutely nothing like the photo (hair was significantly shorter and parted on the side, instead of the middle) I would have stopped her halfway but she cuts so fast (I think the entire hair cut was done in ~20 minutes) that when I realized what she was doing, it was too late. The first time I visited, I was satisfied by the cut + colour I got by Alex. I decided to book a second appointment with him, but he was unavailable the day I had wanted to get it done. I was referred to another stylist which I agreed to. However when I got there, Hannah said my stylist was busy so she would take it from there. I showed her a picture reference of the work Alex had done for me. While getting my hair coloured she kept insisting more than once that I needed to get treatment done because my hair was so damaged. When I asked how much the treatment would cost, she said she'd give me a discount but because she never gave me an accurate pricing, I didn't go through with the treatment. With the same cut (but worse when I noticed it was uneven) and colour, I felt overcharged. When I told her I was charged significantly less the last time I got the exact same thing done, she explained that the prices went up. I understand that with the owner being your stylist, it'll cost a bit more.. But that jump from $120 to $350 sounds unreasonable to me. Don't remember her name but she was a bit more mature in age and did not speak English. She rushed through my cut when a customer came in wanting a perm. I guess she figured she'd make more money off him, so my cut lasted all of ten minutes. To hide the bad cut, she curled it into beach waves. I do not recommend this place at all. Booked an appointment via text (this is the future, guys) for a pink dip dye on my medium length hair. Hannah was quick to respond and she was able to give me an appointment on short notice which I was very appreciative for! Now on to the hair: it came out almost perfectly, a few shades darker than I wanted but the stylist ensured me that the shade I wanted would take a few washes. His english wasn't great but it was enough to guide me through the process so inevitably, he wasn't much of a talker. Being extremely awkward, I was thankful for that. My one gripe is that the price Hannah gave me was different from the one I got from the stylist when I arrived and again different from the one I got from her in person. It kept raising as she assured me that it was still cheaper than other salons. One of the worst haircuts I have ever had in my life - everything that I feared came true... At one point I told the hairdresser, Alex, that I was scared what he was going to do next. I wanted him to explain to me how he was going to cut it; however, he could not communicate in English. I was praying for the session to end and I was furious by the result. To put salt on the wound... the hair on my forehead was not even cleaned off. Luckily, I know my hair grows fast so I will be able to fix it in a couple weeks at a proper salon. I've been going to H2Goa for a few years now. Had perms, coloring and numerous cuts done here with various stylists. My most recent experience was with Miyoung. There's no doubt that she's an experienced hairstylist as she finished my hair cut in about 30 min. But the way she trimmed my hair created so much shorter layers that I was baffled as I've asked for long layers. AFTER cutting my hair like that, Miyoung proceeded to tell me that I will need to style my hair, which is exactly something that I wanted to avoid. There were a few other red flags for me during my visit: 1. water was ice cold, which they did apologize for but this just seemed so unconventional as I have not experienced this at any other places 2. After washing my hair, the person who washed my hair sat me near the hairwash stations for at least 10 minutes which made my clohtes soak in cold water. For a hair salong that charges up to $60 for hair cut, this seemed unacceptable. 3. Finally, when I was about to pay I was told that my final price would be $72, when the website says $50 - 65. Because the place was so packed and loud with all kinds of noise, I didn't have a chance to ask her how the bill came to be. for me to pay $72 (plus tip) for a haircut, I would expect my stylist to actually respect my wishes and take into consideration what I wanted more, and better service after hairwash too. went in for a digital perm and am very satisfied with the result. hannah was very nice and even the small conversations were nice. she knew what she was doing and offered great opinions too. while she didn't do my actual perm as she had to cater to other customers, she gave me a trim with layers then instructed the other employee (an older woman that didn't really speak english) on which size rollers to use. she also checked in on the perm from time to time. the head massage when washing my hair was really nice and i had two people on each side drying my hair (felt like royalty lmao) the shop is quite small and cramped but they did their best with covid safety. there's plastic screens put up between each seat i think the total was around $280-$300. she recommended i do a hair treatment too which was $100 but i didn't do it. read more

I've been a customer of Hannah for 6 years. Even though I'm always happy with my hair perms/cuts, I was lazy and didn't have the motivation to write a review. Recently I moved and tried another salon closer to my house but had a terrible experience. One week later, I had to come back to Hannah. After she fixed my hair, I feel like she really deserves more than 5stars!!! The perm from the other salon made my hair so dry, frizzy at the roots and look uneven after washed (pic 1). I had to straighten it everyday to make it look somewhat acceptable and that makes it extra dry and feel heavy. Hannah applied a treatment to my hair, straightened the part near the roots, and did a digital perm to the rest. Okay, they do a pretty good job with perms as I really liked mine, but their service for haircuts is absolutely atrocious. It is clear as day that they don't give a damn about hair cuts because it doesn't bring in as much money. I walked into Goa on a thursday afternoon and they were pretty busy but luckily i got a seat right away. I got my hair cut by Alex who listened to all my confusing hair demands. Im really particular about my hair from cut to color and Alex sorted out my pictures to disuss what he would cut and what color he would do. I was pretty nervous cause i wanted a fringe but he suggested side bangs would definitely look better on me. I ended up dying my hair a chocolate brown with a little bit of copper that he mixed into the formula. The color is darker than what i usually get, i tend to lean more towards light or medium brown however they assured me it would turn out great. It took about one and a half hours to cut and color my hair and it surprised me how quick they were. The dye didnt even sting in my scalp like at other salons. Honestly, this place is a hit or miss. The first time I came here, I wanted to get see-through bangs and hannah did that well. I came back a second time and they grew out nicely tooo. When I came yesterday, the guy cut my hair instead. I probably should've requested hannah specifically, but I was too shy to do so. I regret it now because my bangs are way too short and he didn't even frame them to my face. They are extremely awkward and I can't even style them. When trimming the length of my hair, he told me the front part was more curved than the back and I said ok, keep it curved, so he didn't trim it at all. My hair is super finicky when it comes to my bangs. I don't think I'll be coming back here for a while. I even have to wait at least a month to fix my bangs. Also, when he washed my hair this time, the water was cold most of the time. He also kept banging the shower head to the side of my hair. It was not gentle at all. I had a terrible experience yesterday, I would think twice about having someone else cut my hair. read more

So much wasted potential. This place has very good hairdressers, but as the previous poor reviews mentioned, dishonest (or at least, completely opaque) pricing, and very poor scheduling leading to long wait times, which leads to a rushed/poor job. I have loved Hannah, the owner, ever since I found her 6-7 years ago when she was still operating out of Goa (her mother's salon). She's cut, dyed, permed, and digitally permed my hair and it's been great every time. Unfortunately, it all started going downhill once she started her own place at H2Goa. Both times at H2, I've had to wait 40+ minutes for them to even start on my hair despite having made appointments. This is in addition to long in-between wait time (e.g. between shampoo, blow dry, cutting, etc) because the hairdresser need to attend to other clients. Both times my perm took 4 hours or so, while the actual time someone is working on my hair (including roller time) was about 1.5 hours. No apologies, too. Oh and I also got a cold water shampoo. There's also been a noticeable decrease in quality of the work. The last time I went, they didn't even heat up the rollers in my hair for my digi perm. I wondered if it was a new technique or something - but nope, 2 months later my perm is pretty much gone, whereas before my hair retained the perm for a whole year. Then there's the forced up-sell of hair treatment. My first time at H2, they asked me if I wanted it. This last time, Hannah just put it in and told me I "have to" get it. It was nothing special, they just put a conditioner in and let you sit there for 15 minutes. Finally, the price. The cashier girl asks Hannah every time someone needs to pay, and I honestly believe Hannah just makes up a number on the spot. A digi perm had always ranged between $150-$200 for my hair, depending on length. For my shoulder-length hair this time? $300. I was shocked. I had all these "discount" cards from all my previous visits totaling about $50 and used those, but it was still ridiculous. And I didn't even receive any new discounts, they just gave me the card back with $0 on it. (Goa's, and probably H2's practice is to give you about 10% back to use on your next visit). I won't be going back. It's just not worth it. So now I'm on the hunt for a new hairdresser - if you have suggestion, let me know! read more

I have been going to Hannah for over 15 years. I moved to California in 2016 and whenever I return for a visit I make sure I schedule an appt with her. This month I brought my daughter to fix a box dye botch. She transformed her hair COMPLETELY! My daughter is thrilled! It looks beautiful. And when you look around the salon, the amazing range of styles they provide is always impressive. I always love seeing Hannah because she is HONEST and completely TRUSTWORTHY. She genuinely cares for her clients and loves what she does and makes you feel like family. I never leave reviews here in Toronto or in California even though I've had great experiences. Terrible service and dishonest pricing. I got a cut and a perm. Cut was efficient but that's the only good thing that came out of this 4 hour ordeal. Issues: They ran out of hot water- washed my hair in COLD water. Even the person who washed my hair laughed in embarrassment. Pricing- I had messaged fellow yelpers for a quote to make sure I won't be overcharged. I also messaged the owner Hannah prior to get a range. I got $180. When I was halfway through my perm- she claimed that I NEED this treatment and started applying to my hair. I was cautious of sketchy practices at some salons so I asked right away how much it would cost. She said it's already in my hair and that it was $100 but she'll do me a favour and discount it for $80. I then asked her how much it cost me in total. Keep in mind I had a set budget and this was my treat for my birthday. It ended up being $300. The salon was empty and there were 6 of her staff, all sitting and staring at me. They kept talking in another language whilst making me extremely uncomfortable as Hannah intimidated me. She kept saying she's already giving me a discount at $300, while it normally cost more. I said she quoted me $180 and she dismissed it and said the treatment is already in my hair. I will never go back and do NOT recommend this salon for their dishonest practice. I went back recently and had a horrible experience. Hannah was in such a rush that she ended up cutting my hair unevenly. It was pretty obvious so clearly she didn't bother checking to see if anything needed to be fixed. I had to go home and cut off the longer strands myself. On top of that she charged me $70. $70 for a bad hair cut that was done in 20 mins. Not even a hair wash included. I definitely won't be going back. I booked an appointment for a wedding hair trial and was assured by one of the stylists that the time and day that I booked would be alright (in terms of how busy the salon was). I figured that meant that they would also be careful not to take too many walk-ins prior to my 90 minute appointment so that we would have sufficient time to discuss my preferences before trying out some hairstyles. I was so excited to go to H2GOA after so many glowing reviews, but after nearly an hour of waiting after my appointment time, I was barely acknowledged at the packed salon. That kind of service and poor time/customer management didn't inspire an ounce of confidence for the big day. Not to mention it's an awful way to run a business. When I arrived, the entire waiting area was packed & there was nowhere for me to sit. Another customer who had booked an appointment had been waiting for 30 minutes before getting taken care of. Another woman who had an appointment left because she couldn't wait. One young male customer was told by Hannah's mom (the owner of Goa, a salon down the street) to leave H2GOA & go to her salon because the wait was too long (Hannah's mother seemed to be helping Hannah because the salon was so busy). When I told Hannah that I was leaving because I was losing confidence in her business, she apologised but didn't even attempt to try to regain my trust and/or business. She clearly knew that she had overbooked and couldn't handle the volume of customers. It's so unfortunate that it was my first experience at such a well-loved salon! But I am thankful that I got to see the worst of it before committing to an unreliable business. I would not recommend going to H2GOA if you expect to be seen in a timely manner. I don't even know how she does it - Hannah is super fast; we're talking a cut can be 10 minutes or less. Yet somehow she manages to pretty much nail it: she's in the know and always up to date. All IG-worthy styles like ombre, balayage, babylites, pastel hair...you name it, she's done it. It's definitely no-frills though, so if you're looking for some serious pampering with tea, scalp massage, aromatherapy-type spa goodies, you can skip H2Goa. For $35 a cut and walking out feeling like a million bucks, I'm totally willing to forgo any of the fancy ambiance. And for anyone wondering about prices of the other stuff: ombre hair will run you $150+ upwards, a perm for chin-length hair at roughly $80, and babylights (discrete highlights that begin below the roots) at around $75. If you can, try and avoid Friday afternoons/evenings as they tend to be very busy and you'll be spending a lot more time waiting in the chairs. If you're getting your hair did with more complex stuff like a digi-perm, be prepared to stick around for 2-3 hours. For even more complex styles, like Nicole Ritchie's grey hair (circa 2013) be prepared to come back several days in a row for 5+ hours each time! read more

Hannah is the absolutely best. Since I have found her, I have not trusted anyone else. The customer service here is amazing. The salon is clean, well decorated, with a large screen TV to keep you entertained while you get your hair done. Hannah make sure you are hydrated, offering water, tea, coffee, as well as ensuring you are well fed by offering to order sandwiches and food from nearby restaurants. I initially was referred to Hannah by a friend to get a digital perm. It is different from a cold perm, as it uses both heat and chemicals to restructure your hair. The main difference is that digital perm creates a more natural texture and shape to your curls. Picture your hair when you curl your hair w a med to large barrel curling iron. I did lots of research prior to coming, and received further education and counseling from Hannah when I got there. She's also featured on a Global News segment about digital perm. She's more than equipped to do the job! On to the actual hair. My goodness, I have had my hair digitally permed 4 times, currently on the chair for the 5th, and LOVE the way it comes out every time. The waves are so beautiful that many, many, MANY, friends, family, colleagues, and strangers on the streets have raved about how beautiful my hair is. Some even question if I wake up every morning, and curl my hair. For me, it lasts about 6 months if I don't take care of it at all, and 8-10 months if I use hair masks (but still, no fancy shampoo & conditioner. Just head and shoulders). I don't blow dry my hair, just twirl it w my fingers until it's semi dry. I have also gotten highlights here as well. I told Hannah that I'm not good at maintaining anything, so she did them so well that when the highlights grew out, it created an ombré effect. Currently doing the same thing. Overall, this salon, and Hannah, is absolutely amazing. Hannah is honest, and will advise you not to do something if she thinks it will damage your hair too much, make you look ugly, or doesn't suit you. As another Yelper posted about herself somewhere, I'm a Russian rouletter, too. Meaning that I'm fine in delving in unknown hair hotspots, if this mean I'll be turning over a gem. Or a toady hair cutter. Despite being open to having my hair cut by different people, I've been most open to being a repeat client of Hannah's at H2Goa. Pros: -she knows how to cut hair, and will leave you with a nice haircut; -your age and shyness will not matter - she will recommend cool trendy suggestions that she feels will look good on you; -$35 is reasonable for a woman's hair cut (though longer, thicker hair, will cost up to $45); -new: I was there yesterday, and realized Hannah makes the effort to be bilingual in this mainly Korean hair salon. I'm so not paranoid about people talking about in another language, but it was nice to have some idea of what they were talking about. She'd say something in English for people like me just sitting there with my hair being cut, and then the same thing in Korean to her snipping colleagues. Cons: -I think I might be more granola than Iggy Azalea or Rihanna... It's been a long time since I had my hair done professionally, I was surprised to experience many multitudes of product slathers. They had brand names like Schwartzkop, and most of the fragrances were good, but I just don't normally use so many products and felt funny being on the receiving end; -Yesterday, waited, despite having an appointment. Perhaps in the future they will tell a client that they have the option to come back in 20 min. if they'd like to walk around the 'hood. In the past, at the other salon Goa, I did not wait as long to start my hair cutting experience. -ooh... I could see smoke rising from my innocent hair strands under the flat iron. I wanted a place where I could get any style cut, not just a $15 or $25 cut. It would have been an advantage if I had a stronger idea of the direction I wanted to go in, style-wise. I have roughly the same style now as before, though it's been improved. Yesterday's visit was o.k. Every other time I've had Hannah, has been a 4 or 5 star experience. Yes, I would go there again. At some point. I would recommend this person and place to a friend, if he or she was looking for a trendy cut, is open to using hair products, lives near Korea town. People always seem to be colouring their hair, so if you're smell-sensitive, factor that in. read more

I never write reviews but I just had to this time around! I found my forever-salon. Ask for Hannah because she's a godsend of hair stylists. I got a perm for the first time ever, which is something I've always wanted to get but still can be a nerve wracking hair change. Hannah really knows what she's doing and takes extra care (much more than most stylists) to make sure what you're asking for won't ruin your hair, and that it will suit what your needs are. She knows all about current trends and totally gets what your needs/likes are without you having to go into much detail! She considers the things that you don't (and that's what stylists are supposed to do) and I ended up with hair better than I expected before! And yes, this is a korean hair salon but Hannah speaks fluent English (she moved to Toronto when she was a 1 yr-old baby) so communication is never an issue. The rest of the hair stylists/assistants there also speak decent English, but it seemed like Hannah was the main stylist/owner. And this being a korean salon, it means you'll get the best treatments, best techniques of the moment, and CHEAP hair cuts. This is my first experience at the salon with the owner Hannah. I booked a hair appointment with Hannah via text (as I found her through her IG page) and she was very accommodating in my schedule when there was a last minute change. Upon arrival at the salon, you could tell that it was very busy and I was quickly rushed into the a wash and into the chair by someone else. Hannah finally got around to me and asked what I wanted for my haircut which was a very basic maintenance trim. When she started cutting, she didn't talk to me the whole time and was engaging with the guy waiting for his haircut (with another stylist at the salon). It felt really awkward and I felt like I wasn't really getting her time of day that I paid for. By that, I don't mean I require her to talk to me (I much prefer silence) but she wasn't really paying attention to how she was cutting my hair. I don't care how long you've been doing it for or how skilled you claim to be, but it was really unprofessional. It was overall a very average experience and while $40 is reasonable for a women's haircut nowadays, I rather pay more for service that is more attentive and caring. The haircut was a little sloppy in my opinion and didn't grow out very well (I could see unevenness in length). I honestly just felt like she was really half-hearted in the service she provided me. I understand that she is managing her business as an owner but I felt like if I'm your present client, as a hairdresser, you should be engaging with the person whom you're cutting hair for. read more

*They have point cards and usually your purchase will be cheaper if you pay in cash. *Try not to come here during weekends/Lunar New Year/Christmas/New Year - the store is just super crowded. If you know me in person, you will know I am a unicorn. I haven't have black hair for 6 years. The only person who can perform such magic on my unicorn hair is the one and only, Hannah. I've been going to her for the past 6 years (even at the old hair salon) and I have recommended her to so many people! Though you can book Hannah in advance, it doesn't necessarily mean your appointment will be ON TIME. She is constantly running around trying to manage probably like 4 different customers. *PRO TIP: if you are in a rush (date/wedding/party/etc), LET HER KNOW when you need to leave. This will ensure that you finish your haircut (or whatever) on time. The overall hair salon is really clean and the staff is super friendly, I mean, they even gave me food if I have to stay there for an extended amount of time lol. I also love that the staff is never pushy when it comes to selling hair products. Trust me, I went to Viet salons before (I'm Viet) and they were constantly pushing me to buy their marked up **** -_-. Hannah is the best! They offer all the regular hair services, have competitive prices, and very friendly staff :) This is not posh salon so don't expect free beverages and scalp massages, and fancy waiting areas and spotless interior - the prices are kept low because you go here for a hair service without the frills. It's crowded and tiny, but comfy and they treat you like family, not a dollar sign. I travel downtown from Thornhill, even though there are so many closer options since I have always walked out of there happy (and not broke). The cut is super quick (like ten minutes) and they tag team in pairs and blow dry your hair as fast as possible sans brushes. Again - not your standard pampering, but you leave with a good cut at a good price. if you expect more than this place isn't for you. Hanna will listen to what you want and go with it. She knows hair and she knows how to work with what you have to make it the best it can be. And she knows how to do it quick all while chatting to you with no reservations. A very fun visit! (PS and addressing one of the earlier reviews from another Yelper claiming Hannah doesn't speak English....ummm...ok....write one star reviews based on fact? I love Goa and I love Hannah! She's the only person I go to for my hair. I've been going to her for years and have recommended Hannah to a lot of my friends and co workers! The reason why I'm not giving this review 5 stars is because it's always super busy so there could be times when Hannah is running around from client to client, so she spends less time on your hair. But I can see she tries her best! But my haircut always turns out great and I'm always satisfied! Another thing is that the salon is small, so when people are coming they could be standing and waiting creating traffic. All in all, I recommend coming here during the weekday as it's less busy. I've been to H2GOA 4 times now. Hannah is amazing with her scissors, she'll give you an amazing on trend cut in 15 minutes or less! This isn't one of those fancy salons, no fancy head massages, no tea or fancy robes, but that's not why you go here, you go here for the great haircuts. I've also had several digital perms here - something that was recommended initially by Hannah. I had no idea what DP were, but I'm officially addicted! I never leave this salon without a haircut that I love, and i always get compliments! The one thing i will say is that, the salon can tend to get busy....so if you're getting something other than a haircut, expect to sit for a while (bring a book) lol. read more

I don't remember her name but the person at the front desk did my hair when I came in (no appointment on a Friday morning), and offered to wash my hair less than five minutes after my arrival. I was then directed to a seat where she immediately began to ask what I wanted to do with my hair, and since my hair was well overgrown (one would call what I have a pixie cut) I asked if I could get certain areas cleaned up. She happily said yes and began cutting away at the growing mullet down my neck. There wasn't much "small talk" or conversation throughout the whole process but when there was, she wasn't forceful about it and respected that I wasn't talkative, which I appreciated. I noticed that she and the other hairdressers spoke (in Korean) to each other as they were tending to people's hair; I didn't really mind it but I felt kind of awkward, although she did let me know what they said from time to time. She also offered suggestions on what I could do with my hair and wasn't persistent about it like some hairdressers can be. Overall it was a good experience for me and I can say with confidence that I might've found my new go-to salon! I rarely trust anyone with my hair and it's often a risk going to a new place, but for good service at a decent price ($30), I would definitely revisit. read more
