Matthew and Aaron were friendly and gave me some good advice in addition to clearing my pipes, reveal a outdoor faucet, and removing a pea trap, replacing it with a portable push button trap. I like the fact that the company is local and the owner of the company, Matthew, actually was one of the men who did the job. They were upfront, honest, and were able to quote an estimate, that was reasonable, right away. They also came highly recommended by two people I know well.

Then, during a third visit, they exaggerated the scope and severity of the work and quoted a price that was nearly three times higher than what was originally discussed. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic: offer a reasonable estimate upfront, then continually inflate the cost as the process moves forward. I was left feeling pressured and misled rather than helped. Based on my experience, I would advise others to get multiple estimates before agreeing to any work. Be very cautious and ask for detailed explanations and written pricing before proceeding. I personally would not use this company again. Additionally, I will be filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs so that an independent third party can review this company's business practices. I believe consumers deserve transparent pricing and honest assessments of the work required. My hope is that a formal review will help prevent other customers from experiencing the same issues I encountered.

We couldn't take it anymore, so we looked up a reliable local plumber and H&R had great reviews and are also located in San Leandro. I called them on a Wednesday evening and a man answered on the second ring. I told him what our issue was and he immediately said he could help and was ready to send someone the next morning. I wasn't available that day but was available on Friday, and he instantly said that worked for him and gave me a window of noon to 2:00 pm for arrival. Carlos arrived on time and was an incredibly nice, friendly, professional guy. Our problem was a simple one: sediment had collected in the head of the faucet over time and was blocking the water from coming out. He showed us what he removed, how to remove it ourselves next time, and told us that it's a result of the very old, original pipes in our home collecting that sediment. He arrived and finished the job within 30 minutes, tops. Incredibly smooth transaction and experience. Would definitely work with these guys again in the future.

I did some "research" (on ChatGBT) to find a good local plumbing contractor and called the top three around 7 AM Sunday to avoid "emergency" charges and not to make some guy do this messy job in the dark. H&R called back around 9AM and by 11AM the problem was solved. What it was, was some tree roots got into the Y junction where the line from our house meets the city sewer. We had PVC liner inserted into the old clay pipes around 8 years ago and put in the cleanout at that time. Andres from H&R gave me a VERY reasonable quote up front, found the cause, fixed the problem, cleaned up and left, and charged exactly the original price quoted. No upsell, no BS. What a relief! I give this company high marks for honesty, competence and availability. What more do you want from a plumber?

You have a few choices; #1 cut them each year and hope it doesn't get better. But you had better keep you lines clean. I had friends staying at my place and they were using flusable wipes that didn't flush. Long story short; I ended up snaking the house and not fixing it. I had to call in the pro's. As much as it hurt my wallet I needed it done right. I got to dig them for not coming to my place on time; the owner was dealing with a issue we talked about later but; if i was a person who was in a hurry I would of went elsewhere. Anyways hours after call. Percy shows up who is a real nice guy; gets to work with the power snake we run water clear it up. Then he comes out with the camera so check my lines; this is what I wanted to do in the 1st place. I have 6 feet of lines where roots are coming though. This is very bad as it requires the pipes to be replaced and this isn't cheap at all. Percy did quote me for doing everything It was fair for the amount of work. I honest don't know what I'm going to do; it's so much money to fix this issue if anyone has any input send me a message let me know E-Z plumbing did the work and did it well; I ended up paying cash and he was fair about labor with me; Its no something you want to call a plumber but it was good my issue was fixed correctly now just need to figure out my bigger issue.
