$130 quoted for interior of a 4 door truck I had just purchased. Seemed pretty fair for just interior. Truck was fairly dirty but appeared to have been vacuumed somewhat regularly but not wiped down. About what you would expect on a maintained work truck. I was aware stains may not come out but there were only a few. The biggest thing was just the dirt stuck to vents, cup holders etc that had appeared to not be wiped down often. End result, seats were drenched, took 3 days to dry. Looked ok but I probably could have done better with a brush and a shop vac. But I'm ok with that, it's an old truck. He wiped down the dash and steering wheel and other areas you can quickly spray and wipe. Vents were all u touched, cup holders, seat belts, all the places you actually have to take a minute to clean was untouched. He spent maybe 30 minutes on the truck. He called when done, I walked out glanced in and laid him and he left. I then fully checked it out and called him back. He came right back touched up the parts I complained about and left. I decided to just accept it since I failed to check before paying him. I would have went with someone else had they gotten back to me faster. But I wanted to get this done and over quickly. I would not recommend him. Hire you're neighbors 12 year old and get a better job. I probably should have taken a lot more pics but it's an old truck and while it's clean enough for what I'll use it for, I would have gotten a better job for half the price at the drive through hand car wash In Brentwood and would have been less money for the entire truck. read more

James did a fantastic job on my detail. I have a crossover SUV that I take on many outdoor adventures. It gets completely filthy over the course of the summer and it was in pretty bad shape when I dropped it off with James. James was pretty reasonable on the price, which is essentially based on the size of the car and the condition it's in. In other words, expect the price to be higher if you have major stains inside, pet hair all over the seats or if you've just come back from burning man. He did my entire detail for $140, though I negotiated a bit. If you've never had your car detailed before, I'll tell you that $140 is a pretty phenomenal price if you want it done well. A full detail at most brick and mortar places will run you $180-350, just to give you a point of reference. He is also a mobile service, so he will come to you - another added bonus. I was on a bit of a time constraint and given his schedule, I actually dropped it off in East Oakland. Because he is a mobile service, he doesn't really have a store front, just a van with his equipment, so I pretty much brought my car to his house. He even offered me a ride back to my office so I didn't have to stand around on the street in East Oakland waiting for my Lyft, which I thought was really sweet. We communicated by text throughout the day on timing and drop off location. All went smoothly. At the end of the day, he drove my car right up to the driveway of my office. It sparkled and I very willingly handed over the amount we agreed on. I will definitely be using him again. Thanks so much James! read more

Went through yelp for the information, and got a response back almost immediately. He said that he could do the job later that day and I agreed, then closer to the hour said he couldn't do it due to the rain coming so how about the next day. So I agreed. Then the next day he said If he could do it much earlier because he "had other appointments" or if it didn't work for me I could find someone else. How annoying and what a waste of time. I could have just done that to begin with. I ended up calling some one else on yelp and they not only fixed the problem but kept the appointment I had made with this dude. I scheduled an appointment with this guy for 11AM on Monday 5/11/2020. So naturally, I was prepared for him to arrive at my house at our scheduled time, 11AM. Around 10:30AM, I check my phone to see that he had texted me at 9:45AM saying that he was outside my house. NO CALL OR FOLLOW UP TO THE SINGLE TEXT. Confused, I called him back to ask him where he was, and if he would be returning. To my surprised, I was answered with a very angry response, accusing me of "ditching" him outside my house, and for not being ready for my detail. He also yelled at me, telling me that he would NEVER be returning to work on my car. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLOWN!! The most UNPROFESSIONAL person I have ever had to deal with and EXTREMELY RUDE. There was no respect for my time, and no consideration for the time that we agreed upon. What is the point of scheduling an appointment, if he is going to show up whenever he wants?! I am writing this in hopes that the business will see this message and identify their driver. Today, around 1:50 PM, I was driving down N. Livermore Ave. towards the freeway. I was behind one of their vans, which was going about 10 miles under the speed limit. I decided to pass it, and upon doing so, saw that the driver was smoking. I thought nothing of it until later on. As we were about to get on the freeway, he abruptly cut in front of me, with no turn signal. This would not have been a big deal, except that once we got on the freeway, he continued to drive at an unsafe speed limit-about 50 mph in the 2nd lane. He was also weaving in and out of the lanes, causing other drivers to have to get out of his way. It really seems like he was driving under the influence. Had I been a passenger and not driving, I absolutely would have reported him as driving under the influence. So, I'm now wondering what exactly he was smoking. read more

The interior detail that james did on my car is pretty sub par. I paid 90 dollars for an interior detail but I felt like the work that he did was half assed. He left a lot of water marks and soap marks on my windshield, rear window, rear view mirror and all the door window inside the car and the seats are soaking wet. When I asked him if he could wipe the windows inside the car he said it's not part of the interior detail. If I'm paying you 90 dollars for an interior detail everything inside the car should be cleaned and that's what we agreed on the phone before I scheduled it. He didn't even vacuum the car well and it looks like it was rushed. The smell never went away and the dog hair is still in my car. When I pointed out the dog hair he said he couldn't remove it all when I know he could do it if he would not be rushing. I can barely understand him and the work that was agreed upon was never met. Considering my car wasn't even that dirty and it should have been an easy job for him. I will not use his service again. read more
