WRONG! I parked on a hill at Trader Joe's and because the fuel level was low, my truck would not start. Being that BP was the closest station, I begrudgingly walked over in hopes that they would have a gas can I could borrow. I was wrong AGAIN! However, the gentleman working that day (Suraj) trusted me to use his personal gas can. No questions asked, he literally handed me the keys to his car and directed me to retrieve it from his trunk. It was like an unlucky, LUCKY day. Thanks to this helpful and friendly guy, I was able to get home. Thank you BP, for hiring a person with a conscience.

The station has a two bay garage attached. As I pulled into the station I ran over one of those old hoses that ring a bell inside. Out comes a grizzled, old station attendant to pump my gas. Of course, he had to take my credit card inside to run it - no pay at the pump here. I asked to use the bathroom and was told - you guessed it - that it was outside. I walked into the smallest bathroom that I have ever been in. It was disgustingly dirty and the fixtures were ancient - I half expected to see one of those rotating cloth towel things that used to be all the rage in the 70s. Take your kids to the Madison Hills Gulf before every gas station like this is extinct. There are not 16 pumps, no convenience store, no deli, and the bathroom makes you want to hold it until you get home, but I felt like I was taken back to my childhood hanging out the window of my parents Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser station wagon while they filled up the tank with leaded gasoline for $10.

I thought it was great! The man who helped me was so nice. I had my baby and my dog in the car and clearly didn't know what to expect. He also helped me fill my tires (I've never done this before, so it was so nice to have the help). My husband was a gas attendant when he was in high school and he suggested I tip him if he helped me with my air. I offered a tip and he didn't take it. I'm glad this place is close to our house and that they were so nice because that's where we will be going for the years to come. The kindness was noticed and appreciated. Thanks!
