I received several quotes from several businesses, and decided to go with HE Roberts Roofing for two homes. After the work was complete they came back requesting 5k more????!!! What type of business are they running. They are very, very, unprofessional you try contacting them, Brandon Roberts, the owner I supposed, places his phone on call back, and the office clerk, places the office phone on busy, what type of business are running. During hurricane Sally I lost about thirteen shingles from my roof. I called this company to check my roof and to see if there was further damage. After about three weeks, I called again since I had not heard from them. A couple days later, I received a three page detailed quote totaling $21,660. Now read their response to my response: Susan, As you can imagine, we have received thousands of calls for estimates since Hurricane Sally. In order to expedite as many of those as we can, we are viewing properties through satellite imagery and are able to get accurate measurements for about 99% of homes in our area through that process. That was the case with your property and the reason you have already received an estimate. If we had needed to come to the property physically to view, we would have been about 4-6 weeks out before being able to do that. This company is unorganized, incompetent, lacks integrity, and overpriced. They tore shingles off the wrong house (2 houses on one lot) then asked me to pay them. I agreed to pay a reduced fee. I should not have. Then they hounded me for payment when I had actually paid, amd provided proof of payment for both roofs. I had them do another quote for me on another rental. You think they would have gave me a fair quote. They quoted me 260.00 a square and no concession for their F up on roofing the wring house. Absolutely rookies in business, only out for themselves. Top it off, neither one of the 2 homes they roofed needed new roofs, the leak on the one roof was discovered inside the attic "after" the roof was replaced. Do not use this company. read more

I had a new metal roof put on in 2018. The day it was completed the squirrels chewed up the plastic vent over bathroom roof . I called Hunter who had his guy remove the large metal panel and replace it. The new metal panel covered the vent. I trusted him to do the right thing that he knew this fix was acceptable .I had no idea that my problems were due to this negligence. Have had the gases from my septic system that smells like rotten eggs fill my house everytime it rains.Not to mention the excruciating headaches I woud get from gasses not being vented out from the bathroom plumbing vent that was covered up. The septic tank people recently informed me that this is a Big problem. Have called the office and no response to correct this situation. Also called last year. I called several times because of a missing screw over ridge vent that the metal was raise up and water can get in .Nobody ever returned my call. Also Hunter never informed me that the metal roof screws need to be checked yearly because the screws can back out and then you have leaks.I am 72 and paid for my roof at time of service in full and have my bill of receipt that states I have a 5 yr warranty which is still valid at this time. Evidently this company does not honor their warranty. I cannot recommend this company . read more

I am absolutely LIVID at how UNPROFESSIONAL our roof replacement has been handled! Our roof was replaced on 8/2/19 - 8/3/19. Found out from the City of Crestview, that the permit to REPLACE OUR ROOF was approved TODAY 8/8/19. WHAT?!?! HOW CAN SOMETHING THAT IMPORTANT GET MISSED?! 8/2/19 - roofers show up to our home. Not a SINGLE phone call notifying us this was happening. NOT A SINGLE PERSON REPLACING OUR ROOF SPOKE ANY ENGLISH!?! I was personally told that two crews would be replacing the roof. It was explained to me on 8/1/19 that a "third party" crew was removing the shingles etc from our roof, and another crew would be replacing the roof on 8/2/19? DIDN'T SEE A SINGLE PERSON FROM HE ROBERTS at our home during ANY OF THIS. My HUSBAND has to call to figure out what's going on now that the roofs been completed. I'm appalled that a company that claims to know how "Homeowners Insurance companies work" - has not yet been by to inspect the replacement of our roof yet - NOR contacted my husband or I - NOR kept us informed AT ALL about whats going on. It took my HUSBAND calling the City of Crestview today to FIND OUT THE PERMIT TO REPLACE THE ROOF WASN'T APPROVED UNTIL TODAY 8/8/19? Isn't that a major LIABILITY???? (We needed a copy of the CLOSED PERMIT to give to our Homeowners Insurance company - hence the phone call to the City.) I am literally shocked.... we "thought" our roof replacement would be handled more professionally, as multiple people with HE ROBERTS knew the situation with our roof (new home purchase) - and told us that they'd work out the details of what we needed done DURING THE ROOF REPLACEMENT PROCESS. Instead, no phone calls, NO VALID PERMIT TO DO THE REPLACEMENT, and a serious LACK OF COMMUNICATION.... I'd think TWICE about using this company in the future - and will NEVER RECOMMEND them to ANYONE. Since it's been a week since the process STARTED to replace our roof - I would've THOUGHT that someone would have caught onto this GROSS NEGLIGENCE with this entire project! Since the permit was not APPROVED PRIOR to the roof replacement - THIS LEAVES SOME MAJOR QUESTIONS about the integrity of HE Roberts and brings to light JUST HOW THEY OPERATE. February 5, 2019 - I can not say enough about how honest and thorough this company has been while replacing my roof. They made the process as painless as possible for me as a homeowner. Their work was impeccable, going above and beyond what was required to just replace my roof. While replacing my roof, these guys took extra time to make sure that a complicated area of my roof was properly sealed and flashed to eliminate any future issues. I can only attest to my experience with H. E. Roberts Roofing, but would recommend that if you want quality work, honest people to deal with, and the least amount of stress in replacing or repairing your roof, call them. ANNOYING!!!!!! They sit behind our house every single morning and lay on the horn at 7am!!!!!!

Purchased a roof from my own pocket from H.E. Roberts in Oct. 2018. One month later the wind was blowing and it sounded like a plane on my roof. Contacted them and they said they have never heard of this. In Jan. 2019 the wind was blowing hard again and again the roof was fluttering bad. Could not hear the television from the noise. They sent a guy out to fix. notta. Still fluttering in 2021. Also in March 2019 I noticed the area around my fireplace was wet. Keep in mind I had no leaks or problems prior to the new roof. Again in August 2019 and October 2019. They sent a guy out to fix /investigate . The last guy had put a large amount of silicone around the fireplace to end this problem for the last time. Here it is March 2021 and the same area is leaking. ( 7 year warranty ? ) You would think it is the same situation. After calling them they had what I call a hatchet man to call me back and rough me up. The end result was that ,,, forget the 7 year warranty they give , if there is a major storm it will void any warranty. It is up to me to take care of. So for all of you that had a roof replaced , if you have a storm forget the warranty. They will not fix. !!!! Customer service is a disaster. I would rate the a -5 star read more
