I ordered two packs of 12 count mini bagels, it never showed or told me it was going to be substituted. They brought ONE pack of 6 regular size bagels which cost less and is less product. Had to call for a refund on that. Also my cold stuff was mixed with my not cold things making them cold or boxes wet. Heavy things were thrown on top of things like my waffles and it smashed them. My eggs were side ways and falling out. My lemons were spilled out. This was my first time using this service, and I probably won't use it again. I'll actually be able to grab the items I want, and have better luck with the baggers at the store then this mess. Very disappointed. read more

Love a grocery store? Yes we do. HEB is all we need in a grocery store made even better by the garden center and terrific customer service. I am always amazed that no matter which clerk I ask, they can immediately tell me where to locate the item I am searching for and often they go with me and fetch it off the shelf for me. I do wish they carried Blue Bell novelties and Outshine frozen yogurt novelties. My biggest complaint is how far we have to park from the doors due to the number of customers. My wife makes the best Migas from scratch. On Tuesday past, she picked up a container of cilantro. She doesn't like cilantro on her Migas but I do, so I add the cilantro only to my portion. Several months ago she brought home a small container purported to be cilantro, it wasn't. I opened the last container purchased and sprinkled on my Migas. The Migas tasted kind of funky. Then I smeled the cilantro and again it was parsley. Well, you know the old saying 'you don't eat parsley'. Must be some non-Texan chopping parsley and putting it in containers as marked cilantro. Ruined my Migas 'cause you can't hardly pick out chopped parsley. Wish I could include a picture so you won't make the same mistake. read more

The customer service in the pharmacy is awful! I try to get my prescriptions from the HEB in New Braunfels on loop 337 and 46 because they have better customer service. Sometimes, I have to go to the one in Bulverde, and they are always rude and have no patience! It is strange because the rest of the employees at the store are great. I just have had multiple problems from this pharmacy. I'm not usually the person that asks for a manager but I have had to do it twice here! read more

I absolutely love this HEB, everyone is so attentive and very helpful! Customer Service was closed and this nice gentleman from produce walked me to the leader on duty and the leader was extremely nice and helpful. Today I used this HEB location because I was picking up my sisters groceries. HEB has recently begun their "Curbside Pickup" program and she decided to try it out being that her schedule with the kiddos is always crazy. Together we placed her order online the night before and set our preferred pick-up time. Nearing the pick up time I arrived and parked in their designated curbside lot. A sign instructs you to text them so they know you've arrived. Within 30 seconds there was someone already outside my car window waiting to get some info from me. Once they verified my information my order was brought out within the next minute. It was such a great experience. They load and do all the work for you in such a quick and efficient manner. I highly recommend this service to anyone who isn't able to get into the store for their groceries. I will be using this service at my HEB as well! read more

I love my HEB! I only wish it was closer. It's about 16 minutes from our front door. What's not to love about HEB? I mean, really? They on the phone service is terrible. Was transfer 3 times by 3 different people before even being able to ask my question. After the 3 person I spoke with me said she was transfer me I just sat and listen to the phone ring for 5 minutes then disconnect. read more

I liked the old Spring Branch HEB a lot. I have gotten used to the new one and it does have a large variety of most items. I have quit shopping at the Leon Springs and Boerne HEBs in favor of this one because they have a motorcycle only parking area where my rig is safe! I believe there are more smiling faces at this HEB than any other grocery store in the area. The landscaping is beautiful. Now if they would just replace those tire breaker angle iron speed bumps with the normal ones everyone else uses. I see others doing as I do and driving in unusual patterns to avoid damaging tires. read more

I started to look at where all the produce is from and am sad to say most of it is from Mexico and Canada plus another few places. The fish department has mostly fish from other countries. I have had a few discussions with the management and it seems this is the way HEB operates lately. It is so close to me but am so disturbed. Looking for other options. read more

I'm updating my review from awhile back, because it's time, AND because they've added the most amazing service called Curbside!!! Ever since HEB advertised this service at other stores, I've been impatiently waiting for it to come our way. BEST invention ever for grocery shopping!!! Create an online curbside account, put in your order, pay, setup your pickup date and time, and when you pull into the designated curbside parking you send a text to the number on the sign, a very nice employee brings out your groceries, loads them into your car, and you drive away. It's such a timesaver, and I absolutely loathe shopping, especially for groceries. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because they need to figure out a way to mark items as not available or sold out. Two weeks in a row, and they still don't have a certain type of sirloin steak that I want. All in all, curbside is amazing, and I'll be using it for as long as it's around! The pharmacy has gotten a lot better, too with the quickness of service, so I tip my hat tip your improvements, HEB! read more

I live closer to the Bulverde HEB than any other although I try to avoid having to shop there. Amongst many things that I don't like about it, when I purchase my produce there I end up throwing away more than I eat. The freshness does not compare to the freshness of San Antonio HEBs. read more

I am a new resident of Texas. I can say that the HEB has a great selection of items. I will NEVER purchase any type of Sea Food there. The server was helpful with asking if I wanted ice for the shrimp.That was only to mask the stench of the bad seafood. Any type of fish should not, should not smell like fish. My home still smells bad after opening the bag of shrimp. I am not driving over 20 miles to return a $12.00 dollar purchase, maybe that's what they had in mind all along. This H-E-B is one of the worst I've been to in regard to customer service and the way that the store is overall being run. No matter what time of day I go here there is only ever two to three cashier lanes open. There are ALWAYS extremely long lines as a direct result of this. It takes me at LEAST an hour to get out of this H-E-B and over half, if not almost all that time is due to waiting in extremely long lines, due to the lack of open lanes. It is incredibly unnecessary and the problem has needed to be addressed for some time by management. A couple years prior this H.E. B. always had at least 8 lanes open and got customers out in a timely fashion. Not sure who is running this H-E-B currently, but they need to step it up or they will continue losing shoppers. I've talked to numerous amounts of people in the Bulverde area who are also extremely disappointed in this establishment. I make a point to drive 15 minutes extra, out of my way, just to go to another H-E-B that is well run. People I've spoke with are starting to do the same. read more

I ordered a cake from the bakery, as well as fruit and vegetable trays from those sections of the deli. All employees I spoke with were nice and friendly--important to me! All items were beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. The fruit and veggie trays even came with an appropriate dip or spread. The cake was exactly as I requested it, but the color of the writing just didn't look right. The ladies in the bakery took it back right then and put a deeper color on top of the original choice, giving it almost a shaded look. It was just perfect! She also added extra frosting balloons to match the added colors. People at the event asked where I had purchased all three items so I had a chance to brag on "our" HEB. Customer Service is definitely NOT here. I know hiring is difficult here with all of the growth, however, when the person sending a fax doesn't act like she knows how, asks if the cover page needs to go then is rude and snappy when told yes, you need to find better people or train what you have to be nice. Customer doesn't always have to be right but we darned sure need to be spoken to politely! If there was something here besides WM I would not go back into this store. I recently moved back from North Carolina, and have an NC drivers license, and was wanting to buy alcohol (I'm over 21). I give my ID to cashier and he calls a manager over. The manager walks over, talks to me like a fucking cop, making me feel interrogated when I'm well over the age to buy alcohol. HEB is fucking creepy about this shit in general, questioning me, when I moved back, etc. I understand people fake IDs, but come on dude . Doesn't need to be so serious. read more

This store definitely gets busy, sometimes down right crowded. But it's because they have a decent selection and good prices. I'm surprised there are so many negative reviews but I chalk it up to the fact that people who are satisfied with the store don't rate/review enough but people who have had a bad experience rush to review and give the lowest possible rating. I've always had good service here. Always been helped with a smile. They always have a ton of check-outs open. The check-out girl today even doubled my coupon because I had a second discoubtable item but forgot to grab the extra coupon from the shelf when I had gone back. She could have said "too bad." It's a HEB+ so you get extras like great prices on electronics and movies, patio furniture and ornaments. My only complaint..the parking lot, very tight, all crooked and jaunty. And with big trucks out here, it can be difficult to get in and out or even just through it sometimes. It is very clean, has wonderful prices, has a very friendly staff, and is a great place to shop. I haven't been to Walmart since it opened! I wish every retail store trained their employees as well as HEB does. Any time I'm unable to find a product any employee can direct me to, only its aisle, but sometimes the exact place on the aisle or walks me to the product. The employees are always very courteous and pleasant. They treat me like a 'customer" unlike other retail employees who act as if they are doing me a favor by waiting on me. Many retail employees don't know their products or where they're located. I ran into the store 3 times on Christmas eve beginning about 10 am & for the last time about 7:30pm. The employees I spoke to at 10am were still there at 7:30pm. Moreover, even though they were dead tired from restocking and servicing customers all day they were still courteous and pleasant HEB is a great company that provides quality products and service and is a great company to work for. (No, I'm not an employee,) I'm puzzled at the criticisms posted. Any suggestions I've made to the management has been implemented. One can always improve oneself, but HEB, despite some shortcomings, is at the top compared with most retail stores. I suggest the critics discuss their suggestions with the manager. read more
