HEB is the best grocery store in the country! This HEB has everything, great food, great prices, free samples on sat and sun. Plenty of handicap carts for older peeps. Customer service is on point. And plenty of eye candy to entertain you as u shop for dinner. Only downside is how crazy busy they are most of the time. read more

Best curbside ever , the food I ordered was packed like I like it packed separate. There was substitution but that's to b Ed expected with Rona going on. The pick up was a line but it ran so smoothly and quick. I comment the frontline curbside workers they are awesome if it's not told to them "You Rock" they are courteous and friendly. HEB curbside has a serious glitch. I pulled in, text them that I had arrived. Got an automated reply, then waited 30 minutes as vehicles came and went that arrived after me. Very disappointing and very frustrating. I could have gone in and shopped myself to save time. read more

They are forever replacing good quality brands with theirs. It's ridiculous how greedy they are. While its nearly impossible to not shop here I will do my best with Target, Sprouts, and my new favorite Natural Grocers. Never ever get your medicine here. The pharmacy are a bunch of crooks. They over charged me for my wife prenatal medicine and wouldn't refund my money. Told me to get it back from my insurance. The price difference from here and the other HEB in Portland are about $80. read more

I love this heb but damn is it always packed. Maybe once the kiddos go back to school it won't be so bad? I've tried going on different days/hours but it's always crowded but what are you gonna do I guess. The good thing is they always have a ton of cashiers so you don't have to wait for long. I absolutely love the store! My husband and I always ALWAYS go to this HEB! They always have promotions and coupons! And as young couple with a fur baby we live life almost pay check to pay check. So those things help! The produce and other products they carry are always top of the line! and when it dose come to our fur baby Sadie she always gets the best! They don't have a huge dog section but we are okay with that. Now sometimes we have to go in late like around midnight because of our jobs. And so far we have noticed it's more kids working around that time and they are always messing around and not very helpful. And one night my husband was really upset because we were checking out and there was and elder woman in front of us having to bag her own stuff because the kids were talking away at another register which no one was at! And there were about 3 of them there! And the other thing I don't agree with is not letting our dogs in... Sadie is the most well behaved dog just as a CNI Dog. I went in today with a blanket in my basket with her sitting on it and chewing on her toy not barking or causing any trouble what so ever. And I hear a man chasing me down saying I can't have her in here! I had just gotten out of her doctors appointment and the doc suggested I need to keep her with me all day today because she has been acting depressed lately. And I let the security guy know that and still insisted for me to leave! I've seen dogs in there plenty of times before! Mine was in my basket attention on her toy and not causing any trouble what so ever. I let him know that as well and his answer did not change so I wasn't going to argue anymore he had embarrassed me enough in front of everyone I was already to the back of the store, with everyone starring. And on top of that he followed me all the way out side.... Like I'm going to make a run for it and grab all my stuff with my dog and have him chase me around the store... I felt that this was unnecessary! My dog is a customer to HEB just as much as I am we get her toys and treats and all that good stuff from there just like we get our groceries from there! I feel that they are way to strict on that rule and the man wasn't very considerate and very persistent wouldn't even let me finish what I was saying which I found rude! I wanted to call a manager but I figured there would be no point, so to all my fur baby lovers don't ever try to take your baby with you they will embarrass you in front of everyone! If I didn't have these troubles this store would get all five of my stars but that's not the case! I hope things will change! read more

We came from a small town in Kansas that had only a Walmart Plus store. It was ok for that area but lacked soooooo many everyday items that we were accoustomed to. When we moved here and went to HEB's for the first time, we spent over two hours just looking at all the items that this store carries. I went shopping for last minute items at HEB Plus for Christmas. When the cashier was ringing up my order one of the toys didn't come up in the system. She asked me how much it was, I didn't know, but said I would go get another one. When I got back to the register an assistant manager was removing all of my gift cards that the cashier had just rung up and they were going to re-check me out at a different register. When I asked why I had to move, they decided to open a register next to me and help the customer behind me get all of his groceries off the conveyor and placed at the new register. Then they had a manager come and clear out all their deletions & re-rang me at the same register. This wasted a good 20 minutes of my busy day all for a toy that wasn't in the system. When I finally got to pay for my items, I had to ask the assistant manager to move as he was right behind me & I didn't need him watching as I entered my pin number. There might not be a lot of competition here, but Walmart is just down the street. And next time that happens I won't be so nice about helping them find prices. I wish I had just walked out. The assistant manager and the cashier had no common sense and between the two of them not thinking about what they were doing, they lost a loyal customer. read more

I love heb sooooo much. My sister starting working at an heb a few months ago. My grandpa has been a heb truck driven for 34 years. He's driven more than 2,000,000 miles. New to area and love the variety the store offers, produce/bakery/deli/meat departments are impressive! However, overall customer service is horrible. I bring my own bags, and I have never had a bagger be quiet about it. Every single one has made a negative comment about using totes I bring, stating plastic is "easier" for them. Yesterday, the bagger complained the entire time, filling one bag while I did the rest. And, the personal shoppers are TERRIBLE! They use large carts, walk down the middle of aisles, and just stop, making it impossible to get around them. Their heads are down in their phones, checking items off the list and ignoring others who are trying to do their shopping (walking in front of others, blocking aisles). Who knew you could get road rage in the aisles of a store? I dread shopping at this store because of the lack of customer service. Unfortunately, options are limited in this town. read more

My husband and I enjoy this store. Anything you would ever want, they have it. There's plenty of room to roam and check out is fast. The staff is friendly. We even go there for just eggs and bread. We have an elderly friend who takes her husband, who is in a wheelchair and makes it a day out, buying groceries and eating lunch. read more

I have to agree with the comment made on 1/31/18 regarding this brand's employees and their snootiness'. In particularly --their customer service desk area, the male workers are short, aggressive and condescending along with a female manager. I've had two bad experiences with this department. Just yesterday, I tried to pick up three western unions. I spent close to three hours at this store, back, and worth with WU and trying to track down HEB managers. The male customer service person would not process a WU because he said; it didn't have my middle name on it (which was on my driver's license. NEVER, EVER -- had this problem before (Always picked up my WU's there)! His communication style was rude and touting. When I finally reached a WU supervisor, she informed me that "all" three WU's transactions had my middle name on it. She waited with me on the phone until the customer service male attempted to process my transactions. The first and second one was processed. Yet, he claimed there was an issue with the third one, my middle name wasn't on it. So, I had to call my mother (who sent the transactions, who is in tears now, because I'm having a problem with these transactions). She called and cancelled the third transaction and started anew with another one that included the middle name. I walk back to the customer service department and was told they wouldn't process the three one because it's considered stacking (well, if you need $600 or whatever the dollar amount is, transactions have to be broken down into smaller increments). This was a challenging situation because their customer service people were AWFUL. Moreover, management didn't seem to care. Another recent situation was, I purchased a $60 money order to use for something. It wasn' used and a few days later I attempted to return it. It was clean, not filled out, and the original receipt attached. They charged me $3.00 to cash it back in. In addition, they made me supply a thumbprint, show my driver's license, and get this--I had to provide a social security number. Furthermore, the female manager was highly condescending. She seemed to get off on the fact; that she could enforce their policy. I have shopped here for months, because of the variety of food, and they're just across the street from where I live. Nevertheless, after these two incidents, they have lost a very good customer. read more

Spoke with the then store manager Paul, about getting Dr. Pepper decaffeinated in this store. Had it stocked within several days of my request. In fact, most of the stores in the Corpus Christi area are also stocking this item. Seems to me that HEB personnel are responsive to customer requests. Asked the same request of the store manager of the Greenwood Walmart Store, Am still waiting for the Dr. Pepper decaf to be stocked, and this was 3 months ago. read more

My wife and I loved the small package of potatoes potatoes avaiable for baking. They were of superior quality and you could depend on the product being good. Since then HEB has substituted a Lone Star potato that is far from the quality of the previous brand. How can we pursuade HEB to return to the better brand ? We have stopped buying the inferior product. read more
