My dad and I walk in and are looking at the only two workers there. They suspiciously stared at us as if we don't belong there. The staring continues until I say "Hello!". I ask if they have sodium chloride tablets and I get a blank look from both men. One man repeats "sodium chloride"?, acting like he doesn't know what it is. A high school chemistry student knows exactly what it is. I tell them we just need some OTC salt tablets and they react almost annoyingly that they don't carry any and suggest I look on Amazon. Well, duh, but I need them now. Fair enough, we walk out. The entire exchange was quite unsettling. The front of the store has what appears to be some old shoes and an old wheelchair and devoid of much else. The two workers were very unwelcoming and acted like they were too busy to be bothered. The whole situation just felt off to me. I'm avoiding leaving one star because they at least acknowledged my presence, but not much else. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

When our local IGA became Lowe's Market, a lot of people were wondering if prices would go up or if…read morethe quality would change. After several visits, I'm happy to say it's still the same great grocery store experience. They continue to carry a nice variety of products and brands, and I've been impressed with the quality of both the meat and produce departments. The store is clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful. Prices are still a little higher than what you'd find off the island, but that's expected when you're shopping in a coastal community. For the convenience it's worth it. The only thing I really miss are the donut holes they used to carry. They were a favorite treat of mine. Overall, Lowe's Market has done a pretty good job keeping things the same, while bringing a fresh new name to the neighborhood. I'll definitely keep shopping here.

The gas I found was about 3% more expensive than the Valero down the street that I think has also been converted into a Circle K. I found a bunch of trash and debris in the parking lot. This included a whole, smashed up fishing pole, no reel. They offered window washing squeegies, and had liquid in there. The gas pump area strongly smelled of urine. I didn't go inside the store, but they had everything you'd need, except liquor. Only beer and wine here. No Circle K's in the whole state of Texas sell liquor. This store is located on a hard, signalized corner, on a major exit on SPID.

I also love that they know all my sisters as well and ask about them and if I am picking up for just me or for the sisters as well. Great small business atmosphere. The only thing that keeps me from using them is the fact that I no longer have insurance and use the $5 program at HEB. If they could implement a program like that I would definitely start using them again.
