Pearland is a family city... so when you go grocery shopping you will always encounter many mommas, babies crying and toddlers so we go on Friday nights or Sunday nights when everyone is at home or out somewhere else. This store has never disappointed me... I think the only time I had and issue was on the curbside assistance when the items I bought where not looking as fresh as I would have picked then but needless to say it didn't bother me it's just I didn't use it again since in very picky with groceries and u rather do my own then let someone else do it... other than that I totally recommend this place!! read more

So many great reviews! A year ago I would have rated 5 stars, but not now. 1. If you want to purchase a name brand and not HEB brand, you will be frequently disappointed. The majority of shelf space is devoted to HEB brands, and the name brand is seldom restocked. 2. Bait and switch. I hate it when a brand I want is on sale, because that means it will not be stocked. But, the HEB "equivalent " will be overstocked. 3. VERY nice employees, but non-responsive to customers concerns. They ask if you found everything, if you say no, they say "sorry" but never try to help. 4. I have seen 6 express checkouts with few customers and 2 non express lanes with 3 or 4 full carts in line. I guess they don't want you to spend $150 at a time? If I have, say, 17 items, I put 2 of them back. I still go there, but more often I go to Walmart now for much better price and at least they keep the shelves stocked. Oh yeah, I sent a note to HEB customer service 2 months back, received a form email that they would contact me about my concerns. Yeah, right. I stopped holding my breath. read more

Customer service here has sunk to a deplorable level. After two poor shopping experiences this week we will be taking our business elsewhere. The first experience was Saturday with the bakery to order a cake. There were several employees standing around ignoring me, I finally asked if someone could help me and one employee said "no we can't take any more orders today." After I said the cake was for a later date the employee just walked away. After 5 minutes I asked someone else for help. And then today (Tuesday) we had a full cart of groceries and were standing in line for a register when a supervisor in a blue shirt told us to go to the express lane because it would be quicker. After unloading our entire cart (closer to 40 items) the cashier said "do you see the sign, it says 15 items". She said this loudly prompting dirty looks from customers nearby. read more

There is a Shipt Shopper named Genevieve but she goes by Vee. Earlier this evening about 8:30pm she was shopping for other people. I had a question and I couldn't find a HEB employee to assist me. I guess "Vee" sensed that I maybe lost, and asked me if I needed help. She was able to help me find the cream of celery that was at the top of the shelves and was even nice to get it for me. I have seen many people wearing the spaceship shirts and never knew who they were. Just people that are always rushing to get through and seems like they are racing. She explained the logo and what she does and I'm shocked to hear of such service. She is extremely friendly not just with me, but I saw her interact with others as well. I know this is not personally about HEB, but if you see a girl with bright red hair wearing a spaceship logo, she is helpful and sweet! HEB and Shipt should be proud to have such a bright, young woman working for them. read more

We always come after 8pm. Less crowds, still giving out samples. I absolutely LOVE this store, zero complaints. Everything I want is in stock, the HEB store brands are a great value, the frozen foods are frost-bite free, produce is local when available, prices are astoundingly low. Plus.... PLUS.... the Meal Deal is usually something my family loves! What other grocery store offers you a pack of frozen hamburger patties (which are restaurant quality) for around $10 THEN gives you Kraft Big Slice Cheese, Ball Park Franks, Whatafries AND a 64 oz HEB Tea for *free*? It's summer, my teens are home 24/7 and ready to roll out of bed at 2PM and CONSUME for those few precious minutes that a screen isn't in their faces, so having HEB's free deals and selections really *really* helps my budget. The pet section has grain free options, a nice selection of items for my fish and rodent pets. The cosmetics/health aisles offer salon care items and coupons galore. The deli has fresh BISON, butcher has wagyu (well, American Kobe anyway), great affordable artisan cheeses, no other chain has a better bread selection in the suburbs and holy smokes, have you seen the dessert case? You need a wisteria or a smoker or a metal rustic flying pig statue? They have those outfront. I LOVE THIS STORE. Honestly, I've been really trying to eat better, drop the processed crap foods and prepare more foods at home while changing my tastebuds to drop the sugar and carbs and the freshness and prices of this HEB have helped tremendously. read more

Went grocery shopping today in HEB Pearland Parkway. There was a group of 4 shoppers -2 couples who were shopping without wearing the mandatory face coverings. None to be seen on their persons. Saw other couple folks walking around in the store with masks pulled down around their necks while they shopped., as well as at least two single gentleman with no masks either. They continued to walk around the store without wearing face coverings. They had to have been seen by dozens of HEB employees, and probably even some management. Yet they were allowed to continue to shop and check out. Why are these people not being stopped at the door? Why is HEB management not saying anything to these people? If they refuse to leave without covering up, call the cops. HEB can't be asking cashiers, stickers, cart and cleaning folks to be the enforcers. Do they need to hire off duty police to have at the doors? These people clearly had no intention of wearing masks. Some had obvious Christian based t shirts on. Apparently they put their faith in Jesus to keep them safe and not on scientific facts. While it's good to have faith, so can believing in scientific facts. A few idiots should not be allowed to put others at risk. Who knows what super spreader event they just attended. True Christians care about the safety and well being of others, not just on exercising they faith and saying they got Jesus protecting them. Don't care if these folks may have already caught the Rona and are "cured". There is still a mandatory face covering in force, and the pandemic is now where near over. Went there to buy an item showing available at the website. This is the second time we go there and we were told they don't have it,but the first time somebody bother to look for it and found it. This time we told the ladys on the bakery and they did not even bother to look. They just replied we dont have it, with an attitude when we said is showing that the item is at this location. On a cold rainy night I stopped off to get a bottle of wine and dinner. Got home, and the bottle slid out of my car and crashed on the ground. Disheartened, I went back to rebuy what I had destroyed and the nice wine aisle lady asked me if I needed any help. I told her no, I'm just rebuying and told her what happened. She said do you have your receipt? I tell her yes, she directs me to customer service, who then tells me just to grab what I had already purchased and come back to show it to them. I do as instructed, and they replace it for free! That was AWESOME customer service! KUDOS H-E-B! Here everything is most definitely better! read more

One of my favorite grocery stores with the best prices! Friendly customer service, especially in the produce, meat, wine, and cheese & deli sections! The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is 1) their avocados are rarely up to par. As an avocado junkie, this is a huge deal to me. 2) For such a huge store, they seem to lack certain items that are relatively common in grocery stories such as more Gatorade variety of flavors (I've been waiting a year for them to catch up with the other stores and stock Gatorade Zero) and/or Shirataki noodles for us ketogenics and vegans. This is the heb where I always go to. I've never had a negative experience with this location until today. I was waiting in line at the bakery department. There was a lady with her daughter in front of me ordering cupcakes. As I was waiting for over 10 minutes, the lady behind the counter saw me but totally ignored my request and walked away as she saw me waiting to put up some breads and never came back... very disappointed. read more

This is my favorite HEB location! This store is one of the largest and biggest HEBs in the Houston area. I love how large their produce selections are and how neatly organized they keep the store maintained. They also have their own juicing station in the produce area. For the past week, I was running around the area to find rainier cherries and no grocery store or HEB had them. Only this location had rainier cherries and any other products that are usually difficult to find. The customer service here is just wonderful. The workers are always so helpful and welcoming. I ordered a cake for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor from this HEB. I had not ordered a cake from this HEB previously, but based on items I had brought from the ready made selections, I thought this would be good selection. During the ordering selection, the lady taking my order seemed like she was trying to help but in a negative way. That is, I could not have the cake in the way I was asking for, I could only have the picture at the top or bottom, they don't have the ability to do..... I should have run, and quickly, from the store. We all do stupid things. I placed the order, and left the special ordered edible decorative for the cake with the bakery. I go on the appointed day to pick up my ordered cake. The lady at the counter looks blankly at me. There are only two cakes ready for pick up, and neither is mine. First, I am asked if I placed the order at this HEB. ?What?! Yes, I placed the order, I said, and showed the lady my order slip. She looked at it as if I possible created it at home. Then, the lady I remember 'helping' me comes out. She says she remembers me placing the order. She asked if it was to have been picked up today, and asked to see the order slip. She then looked to see if they can find their copy. They said something about calling the head decorator; I am assuming the head decorator is not at the bakery. Several minutes later, the slip is found. We had entered the store about 15 minutes ago at this point. The lady said it will be just 10 minutes. The cake decorating starts. The lady asks where do I want the Eagle on the cake. She tells me the "only color blue frosting" the bakery has is this ice blue color, and would that be "OK" for the cake. ? No, I tell here. The blue should be a flag blue, as is 'Red, White & Blue" blue. She looks blankly. Then proceeds to add food coloring to make the ice blue more flag blue. She asks again how do I want the frosting, and again I tell her I would like two sides red, and two sides blue with the lower trim the opposite color. The figure that was drawn shows the Eagle in the middle of cake, with words above and below. I try to explain this, and all I am receiving from her is 'can'ts'. --- I know what time it is. We have to be at the troop meeting early, and should leave from the house in 20 to 30 minutes. --- Fine, put it at the top, words on the bottom. The words are sloppily written; the word 'You' had three layers of red icing because she did not get the piping correct. My son asked what was suppose to have been written when my husband I finally came home from HEB an hour after we left the house on the 15 minute trip to the store. The only good thing was the cake did taste nice. (The frosting was over sweet.) NEVER AGAIN. read more

I come here for the fresh tortillas... especially the half/half flour/wheat... is- the only HEB in my area that has everything I want.

This is a really nice store. Everything is neatly stocked, the baskets don't make noise or wobble everywhere, the employees are nice. They even have my vegetarian stuff, the only thing that's missing is the "Chow-Chow" (relish made of cabbage). The layout is different from the HEB on Blackhawk/Beltway 8 and the other one off 288/518. I will be venturing to this location a little more often. read more

This location is well-stocked, the employees are friendly, and their produce is impressive. (I find it's hard to get fresh produce in Pearland even with the new and welcomed competitor - Sprouts.) Sprouts is much closer but this HEB won't lose our business. They still stock items that I can't find elsewhere and the employees are so nice to my kids so when shopping with the kiddos, this store will be my first choice. read more

This is one of my favorite grocery stores besides central market. The fresh produce, seafood, and breads are why I would recommend this store. There is also an HEB in Friendswood and Clear Lake. The selection at these other HEBs seem similar but do not have the same level of baked breads or chef samplings. read more

When this location opened we were so excited! The staff are very helpful and courteous. Today the staff are still the same, but the quality of the meat they sell, is worse than Walmart. Twice in a week I've had to file a complaint with this location. First I purchased 3 packs of PLAIN meatballs for a 96 year olds birthday dinner. The meatballs were so full of cayenne pepper, we couldn't eat them. Dinner totally ruined. Secondly, I purchased 3 Kobe beef hamburgers at $14.46. These were the worst hamburgers we ever eaten! They not only tasted old, but they were full of gristle! Curtis from customer service called about the meatball issue, but when I call back, his phone only rings and rings, and then sends me back to customer service. Just tried calling him again, same deal, no one answers phone. I'm done with HEB and going back to Kroger. read more

WOW.... visited this Grocery Store during a visit to family in Pearland...it is HUGE!! Better yet, it carries a huge variety of fresh produce, deli meats including my favorite, Boars Head. The Meat section carries a very large selection of fresh quality cuts, same for the Seafood Dept. I was amazed at the large and varied selection of grocery items. Impressed at the smart layout of the store. It was like visiting a huge warehouse without being overwhelmed. The cashiers were courteous and the store was well organized and clean. If you can't find what you're looking for in this H--E-B it probably doesn't exist. I'm a fan. read more

HEB is the best grocery store out there! I always have a good experience with the staff and finding what I need. Fresh produce, seafood and meat everyday of the week. On the weekends it does get a little crowded but the checking lines are always moving. They keep the store really clean and are always taking care of the karts in the parking lot. Even the Pharmacy is amazing, getting prescriptions done super fast. read more
