They had me take their test and told me I was ineligible for the job based off one of the test scores. Keep in mind, I was not given any information about this before the "interview". I wasn't asked a single question nor was I given any chance to speak for myself. They basically told me what I can and can't do with my career based off their test when they knew nothing about me. The fact that your test scores determine whether they will hire you without having a single conversation with you is ridiculous and completely unprofessional.

Exceptional College level Calculus Tutoring - Highly Recommended!…read more We first reached out to Ashley, who set my son up with David Lazada. As a college student struggling with calculus, my son was extremely worried and not feeling confident about the class. He struggled with the course early on in his first year of college and ended up having to drop the course. Because the course is a required course for his degree plan, he had to enroll again as a senior. He took the course as a summer course, which made it even tougher due to the condensed time frame. From the first session, David had a remarkable ability to connect well with our son, break down complex concepts and explain them in a way that is both understandable and engaging. David was patient, encouraging, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our son grasped the material. He was able to tailor the sessions to our specific needs and learning style, which made a significant difference in my son's confidence and performance. David committed time daily, and even weekends to help ensure our son's success. I received updates often as a parent, and was able to ask questions at any time throughout the period of time he was getting help. Thanks to David and Tutor Revolution, our son was able to achieve a passing grade, that he really did not think was possible. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and effective calculus tutor, check out Tutor Revolution! They are truly exceptional!

I had a disappointing experience with Apollo Test Prep. The tutoring approach I received placed too…read moremuch emphasis on general comprehension and not enough on the elimination process that is essential for difficult LSAT questions. In my experience, this actually disrupted a method that had been working better for me, and my performance suffered rather than improved. I later reached out to Jack to explain my concerns and hoped to discuss what had gone wrong, but I did not receive a meaningful response. I also scheduled a strategy call, which was canceled on the basis that only one complimentary strategy call is allowed per student. This was particularly frustrating because I had previously been permitted to schedule more than one strategy call before becoming a paying tutoring client. Taken together, the lack of follow-up and cancellation made me feel that my concerns as a paying student were not being taken seriously. I would have appreciated accountability, a substantive discussion of the tutoring issues, and an effort to address the problem rather than simply ending communication. Based on my experience, I would not use their tutoring services again.

Warning to Parents - Please Read Before Considering This Tutor…read more I normally wouldn't write something like this, but I feel a responsibility to speak up, especially when the care of children is involved. This woman has repeatedly harassed me and my family online over something that happened decades ago, before I was even born -- a tragic incident involving my mother. Rather than handling her grief in a mature and private way, she has chosen to publicly attack, target, and bully people who had no involvement. This kind of behavior is deeply concerning, especially from someone offering tutoring services to children. Emotional instability, a lack of boundaries, and the inability to separate personal vendettas from professional life are serious red flags. Parents deserve to know who they are trusting around their kids. Please think twice before putting your child in the hands of someone who behaves like this. Harassment and hate on someone like myself (20 years old) are not qualities anyone should want in an educator.

I give Bob my highest recommendation for anyone dedicated to reaching his/her highest possible…read morescore on the GMAT. He is competent, patient, and teaches everything needed to excel in the quantitative section in a methodical manner. My GMAT score is a testament to Bob's instruction. I began the process of studying in Feb 2017 and scored a 480 on my first practice test after being out of college for 6 years. I wasted my money on a Princeton review course and I wasted my time trying to master the tricks and gimmicks in the course. While it's true these methods will help improve one's score, I found that despite my greatest efforts I couldn't crack the 620 mark on any of the practice tests. I started working with Bob in May 2017. I scored a 740 in late Jun 2017 because Bob made me smarter (it's really that simple)- letting go of the Princeton review and working with Bob turned out to be one of the best decisions I made with regards to my future. If you choose to work with Bob, I recommend 2-3 days per week. Be humble and let him teach you everything you need in order to excel in the Quant section. Most importantly, spend time everyday practicing and reviewing the concepts visited in each class. I didn't use him for Verbal, but I imagine he applies the same structure to his verbal sessions.

My experience with Bob was less than ideal. Although Bob is very knowledgeable about the GMAT…read moretopics, he failed to understand my individual needs. The private tutoring with Bob was a supplement to my already extensive GMAT practice. I had been studying for a few months prior to my initial meeting with Bob. I came to him with specific problem areas and with only 6 weeks until my exam, asked that we focus our time accordingly. He did not adhere to my request. Additionally, he would say things like "wow I'm surprised you got that one correct" or (4 days before my exam) "you're taking a practice exam on Monday right? Not the real exam. YOU ARE NOT READY." For someone who is hired to be an educator, the aforementioned quotes are obviously off putting. During the time I did spend with Bob, he was constantly answering texts & phone calls. His phone was on ringer and would go off 10-15 times during a 2 hour period. His attention was NOT undivided. Good luck to all those studying. UPDATE 9/16 - Although Bob and I did not align well, he did make amends by offering financial compensation for the time spent, as well as other resources that may be useful to me in my studies.
