If it wasn't rectified, were going to owe an extra $10K in taxes. We started the process with him eight months before the pandemic below and the IRS was moving slow enough as they typically do. After the pandemic began, what started as a slow, arduous process suddenly turned into a full IRS lockdown on responsiveness. After several denial letters from the IRS, we just recently got our request approved. Furthermore, he also was successful in abating a $1200 penalty that we were going to have to pay because we filed our S-Corp request late.
