I am beyond disappointed in this place. When I called to schedule my appointment last year, I requested for the most experienced person in the office. I'm not usually one to ask for that but because of all the extra payments we had received due to covid, I wanted someone who knew what they were doing. Mercedes, prepared my taxes. I was told she was the office manager at the time. Well It's been a year and I have not received my taxes. I tried calling H&R Block and they don't help me at all. They just said I have to wait for the IRS. Keep in mind I also paid that extra fee H&R charges for security if anything happens. They could have at least tried to look Into the problem. The Saticoy office was the worse tax experience I ever had in my life. The tacky unprofessional so-called tax preparer Mercedes should never be allowed to do taxes. She was condescending and loud making sure she blurted out all these penalties of what I supposedly owe so the whole office can hear. I truly believe she did my taxes wrong so I can owe for the each year. After I paid the fee and walked outside her and the tacky receptionist started talking about me while another client was being serviced. He got up and walked over to them to confront them about their behavior and little did they know it was my son. Hearing so called professionals bad mouth his mother. I walk into this H & R Block for tax prep and I'm hit with a wall of fake peach fragrance from plug in "air fresheners". Immediately, my nose gets clogged, coughing and now a migraine headache. They unplugged them but the air is still filled with the allergen. I'm waiting in my car, sick. When did it become acceptable for businesses to assault the public with scent? PS. So very disappointed. When I filed my taxes, they could not pay the IRS and assumed it was due to a holiday. A week later after bringing my parents to file with Traci, I explain I still can't pay my taxes the way she instructed, but we got sidetracked with my parents filling-- understandable. However, when reaching out to Traci on her cell, she says "sure no problem, call me when you're off work," so I do, but no answer. A week later I still have not heard from her, and the location has a sign on the door that says they're available for appointment but when I call it says they are not-- What a trip! Furthermore, Traci will not respond to my request for assistance, despite my glowing review and bringing them additional business. The lack of assistance is probably closing me more than they saved me. Folks, go to a CPA (I really regret not doing this,) these people do not care about your finances as much as they smile in your face and tell you they do. Thanks for nothing! H&R block is always my go to place for anything tax related here i met the best tax preparer i have ever had! Her name is Traci Hagen since the very first time she has done my taxes i have never went with anyone else not only was she knowledgable she took her time and explained everything to me she worked very hard to get me a fat refund and that she did!! she even smiled made me laugh and made me feel so comfortable!!! i always feel a little uncomfortable when tax time comes around but not anymore Traci Hagen and H&R block has turned that all around so if you are looking for trustworthy tax work go to H&R and ask for Traci read more

They overcharge! It went from $40 service to a $140. I didn't end up going through with it because I felt like I was being swindled. I rather go where I normally go and pay $70. Love the fact that they take responsibilities for any errors but I'm not paying them that much. read more

I went in to get my taxes done early, as promised last year. Lynn helped me this time and she was really nice. She showed me every step and even took the time to review my tax return from last year to make sure I didnt miss any tax credit. Needless to say my taxes are filed, my return is on its way and in a couple weeks, I'll be rollin in the dough and done dealing with the IRS for another year, thanks to Lynn and H&R Block. read more

I randomly met Steve when he was my uber driver. While talking I found out he was an accountant for H and R block. Me being in need of an accountant, I took this as a sign. I was assisted by Cesear and informed I'd have my refund directly deposited into my account. When I received the confirmation email that my taxes had been accepted I noticed no update with my bank, and when I called I was surprised to hear my Federal Check was waiting at the H&R office. When I went in last night "Raj" first informed me that this happened to multiple people this year, and when I questioned the fact that there was a $75 difference in their paperwork and the check he told me he would have to "check the damn paperwork". I was informed there would be a report written and submitted to the lead department but forced to accept the check with the lowered amount and made to sign a document stating it was my "final invoice". When I requested a written statement about this matter I was told that it wasn't possible. I am incredibly upset and mislead by his information, and would advise for any one thinking to attend this location to go elsewhere. read more
