He did that in more. For the past 5 years or so, filing taxes have been seamless regardless of the complexities on my side. Kevin has found a great balance between implementing systems that speed up the process (like their document management platform) and giving a personal touch to helping you fully understand your tax situation. This year, I came to Kevin with a corporate return for a C-Corp that I started, and he handled it with more speed and care than a prestigious SF based firm I used in previous years. His prices were far more reasonable as well!

The worst tax service I have ever paid for. She just does not do her job. There is no communication…read moreat all regarding what files need to be submitted, as I (and multiple others who used Karen's Taxes) submitted what we thought we needed. Yet she just automatically filed an extension without communicating with us, so when I asked about my returns, she said she had filed an extension! Oh, and she goes on a month-long vacation after tax season ends. Good luck communicating with her. The kicker? She actually had all the files she needed; she just misread them. Plus, you'd think she would quickly finish the tax files upon her return, but no, she did not. I had to email her repeatedly, and half the time she never responded or just said she was in the queue, when all she had to do was submit what she should have done at first. Because of her, I had to pay interest to the government on my taxes, the extension fee, and I had to pay her. Waste of time and a waste of money, you are better off with an online program; it will probably be more correct anyway.

She took our tax info to her private residence, didn't do our taxes by either the deadline nor the extension period, and left the Country for months, not allowing us to even pick up our documents to go to someone else. I am appalled anyone could be so negligent. STAY FAR AWAY!

She takes the time to listen to your needs and actually remembers you throughout the year. One year, she even took the time to call me later in the year to make sure that I was maximizing my deductions. Throughout the year, if I have a questions regarding my taxes, she answers me promptly which I appreciate. As well, which is important to me, she does not relegate your taxes to another employee, she does them herself unlike my previous tax preparer. She truly is a hidden gem here in Placerville.

We are also a small business owner. We contacted Pamela from the referral by another business owner and couldn't be happier. She returned our call promptly, eased our fears about the taxes, and estimated what we would need to pay, which wasn't as horrible as we had initially thought. She also is helping us with a payment schedule to pay taxes monthly, rather than at the end of the year in a panic as we usually do. Pamela is a true professional, with a kind heart, compassion and non-judgmental understanding, and she truly loves to help others succeed financially. Rates are extremely reasonable for the peace of mind and tax services she provides. Highly recommended!!!

My parents had to pay the IRS thousands of dollars to avoid a lien being placed against their home due to her terrible preparation services and the way money was not properly written off. My poor parents had to take money out of retirement for medical reasons and then were gravely penalized due to Nancy's preparation! Since this occurrence, we have found an amazing new accountant who goes above and beyond to ensure how our taxes are prepared and that we pay the lowest amount to the IRS, if anything! BEWARE - it is not worth taking the chance with Nancy Turner!!! Response to Nancy Turner: You made a HUGE mistake and never took responsibility or accountability, or helped my parents correct the error, and people need to know that! The time that has lapsed is irrelevant. Nothing is puzzling about that! My parents as well as myself are no longer clients for a reason! YOU DO NOT PREPARE ACCURATE TAXES AND SHOULD NOT CLAIM TO DO SO.

Ken was late for or totally forgot about our appointments. Then, out of nowhere, we started getting notices from IRS saying owe more money (for 2010, 2011, 2012) We've gotten NO help from the office, other than to say it must have been our fault for not reporting additional income. We are NOT small business owners. We have very straight forward W-2's and interest income from our savings, with pretty basic deductions. We did our own taxes for years without a problem, but as our lives got busier, we just thought it was easier to use someone else to avoid the stress. Clearly we (and several other people we know who have had HUGE problems with their returns) are going elsewhere this year. And now regret ever using this company.

I was told the first year I picked up my completed taxes there, if nothing changed I could expect to pay the same amount in taxes for the next year. It was a manageable amount. "If nothing changed" was not explained. As a result, this year I had to pay $7000 in taxes. Nothing was explained to me. What may be obvious to them was not obvious to me. I went to a CPA for that reason. In the end, this year, I went to the office, had a brief talk with Roberts, learned nothing, paid my bill in full before I left - nearly $600, basically, for entering last year's information into their computer. There is nothing complicated about my taxes. I had not received the answers to my questions or information I needed. Roberts was not helpful. Two days later, I received another bill for $50. I was surprised, and I was insulted. I had paid my bill before I left his office that day. No one mentioned that a brief discussion with Roberts would cost another $50. And, when I got home, after trying several times to pay my taxes online, I figured out why I was having trouble, my address was wrong. The prior year they had entered the wrong zip code on my taxes. As far as I'm concerned, I ended up paying, paying, paying. I really do hate wasting my hard earned money. Sincerely, Obviously unhappy customer.
