I was told the first year I picked up my completed taxes there, if nothing changed I could expect to pay the same amount in taxes for the next year. It was a manageable amount. "If nothing changed" was not explained. As a result, this year I had to pay $7000 in taxes. Nothing was explained to me. What may be obvious to them was not obvious to me. I went to a CPA for that reason. In the end, this year, I went to the office, had a brief talk with Roberts, learned nothing, paid my bill in full before I left - nearly $600, basically, for entering last year's information into their computer. There is nothing complicated about my taxes. I had not received the answers to my questions or information I needed. Roberts was not helpful. Two days later, I received another bill for $50. I was surprised, and I was insulted. I had paid my bill before I left his office that day. No one mentioned that a brief discussion with Roberts would cost another $50. And, when I got home, after trying several times to pay my taxes online, I figured out why I was having trouble, my address was wrong. The prior year they had entered the wrong zip code on my taxes. Disappointingly, H & R Block is getting egregiously expensive for preparing my IRS State and Federal 2022 Tax Returns . . . I'm absolutely MIFFED!!!! From all the solar infrastructure I installed at my humble abode plus, a couple of tax deductions I claimed, H & R Block took $205.00 for tax preparations plus, $39.00 for depositing the remaining mere pittance, 2022 State and Federal tax refund into my bank account!!!! Therefore, I will definitely, seriously reconsider whether I will hire H & R Block preparing my 2023 State and Federal Tax Return due to the high cost preparing 2022 tax refund and their performance: I'm immediately contemplating canceling next year's appointment with H & R Block NOW due to absconding with a majority of my IRS State and Federal 2022 Tax Refund!!!!
