The last thing I have time for is to write this review, and the fact I am writing it at all should…read moretell you how I feel about this business. We run a small business and are expanding quickly. Our goal was to find an accounting firm in Dallas that understood our growth mindset and was entrepreneur-friendly. We wanted help with tax preparation and to make sure we were bookkeeping with best practices. It took months and countless unanswered emails to get anywhere with Kelly CPA accountants after the first in person meeting. Our intake form and answers provided were even lost by their office at one point. After calling and being blatantly ignored multiple times by the accountant their first assigned us, they finally assigned a new accountant a few weeks before the deadline to file. I asked multiple times over email and calls to meet in person to review our information since the firm lost our data. He ignored my requests for the in person meeting just like the previous accountant who was assigned. I have major issues with the way they bill. Part of it is my fault - make sure if you use them to get their fees agreed to in writing. They claim they discussed this in person at our first meeting, but we don't have this written down nor do we remember for sure if it was agreed to many months ago. They don't include pricing in the engagement letter, which makes no sense to me. A simple google search shows this business charges 2-3x the average market price for tax returns - definitely worth knowing before signing an engagement letter. Finally, after requesting a sit-down with their bookkeepers to review best practices and being ignored on that, it was clear they weren't a firm that truly cares about supporting small businesses. They have done a great job with their marketing and the millennial friendly office space - but these things definitely duped me.

They completed the forms and told me to mail them to the IRS. I did so only to find out later that that will take nearly a year to receive the refund. Well, here it is, 2024...2 years later and the estate is no closer to receiving the refund than it was in March of 2022. After numerous communications with the IRS, we recently learned that the Social Security number that the Williams & Kunkle CPA used was incorrect. At this point, there seems to be little chance of resolving all of the problems this mistake has caused. Needless to say, I made a major mistake involving this firm in settling my sister's estate taxes.

I hired Mary in early January to manage my business's financial records, expecting professional and…read moreaccurate bookkeeping. Unfortunately, she did not batch payments to each invoice as required. Instead, she made journal entries because she said "that is how we clear the deposits we cannot match to the bank statement". Of course they can be matched. That is not the correct method for keeping books for a small business. This approach may have saved her a lot of time, but it has caused significant issues for us. We had to undo all the deposits for the last 3 months, redo them, and match payments properly to ensure the records are accurate. This may be something that large corporations do but a small business must have accurate customer records. My last 2 bookkeepers (over a 25-year period) matched each payment with each individual invoice, correctly. I didn't want to leave this review, but Mary has refused to reimburse me for what I paid her for March books even though I am having to undue and redo all the deposits since the beginning of January when she began keeping my books. I have worked an extra 15-20 hours a week for a month to fix the books from Jan to now. I never would have hired Mary had I known she would think this was an okay practice. BEWARE!!! This experience has been frustrating and time-consuming. Proper bookkeeping is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, and shortcuts like these can lead to more work and potential errors down the line. I would not recommend this bookkeeper for anyone looking for thorough and precise bookkeeping services. I am tired and can never get this time back with my family. .

Duke is charismatic but runs client credit cards without written estimates, contracts, or agreements for frivolous amounts ($50k each) that exceed anything a Big Four accounting firm would charge. Essentially charging you for services you don't need, want, or use--IN ADVANCE. He will do this privately without the usual procedures involving his client concierge or onboarding agents like Austin or Taylor. Blaming automated billing systems, merchant software, He will say whatever is needed to buy time. It appears as though misappropriated client funds are carrying his business and lifestyle. Everything is "5-10 business days" or "the card is showing as declined on my end". You would think that a licensed tax professional would run meticulous accounting on their business accounts--not here. You will have to pay another more reputable firm to correct everything. On April, 4 we had a lengthy text text conversation before meeting at a Black Rifle Coffee House near her home office to go over some details & get her the documents I had. I will note she missed an appointment on Sunday April, 3 that she had set to meet at a Starbucks just down the road from her home office. I waited an hour on a Saturday for her to show up in which she never did. I can forgive a missed meeting the first time although, I do find it unprofessional. My time is just as important as hers. I had sent her my 2019 bank statements in the mean time while we jumped through the hoops of getting her access to my actual account. I sent them in a Numbers spreadsheet which is Mac's version of excel. She also had access to my CRM in which she can see my bank account activities. On April 6 she sent me her ID so I could forward it to my credit union to gain her access. I then sen t the documents to the credit union on April 7. Once I had told her that the state had put a freeze on my account, she told me not to worry, that we just needed to get her access to my bank account & she would have the freeze lifted by the following Wed. This conversation happened on Good Friday. She also committed to filing the needed extensions for federal taxes & get my local sales tax & incorporation papers up & going. On April 14 she committed to having my sales tax wrapped up by the following morning. Then on April 15 I discovered my bank account was frozen. I let her know & gave her the number to call. She let me know she couldn't;t do anything right then because of the holiday & tax deadline. I tole her I tried to do the math & I came up with me owing $1217.20. She said she said I owed less than that. This is when she said she'd have the freeze cleared up by the following Wed. After not hearing anything for a couple of days I reached out to her for an update. She replied with "Not today, but will check tomorrow more with the state of Texas again". I asked her, what about access to the credit union. She replied "You told me that you of me can't access it until it no longer had a freeze". I replied that I had sent her the number to call & did she call. She again said "No, did not call the number. Busy trying to open jobber files since 6am. This is at 5:46 pm. (I sent her the files around 9am). At this point I had seen enough red flags to pull back, so I* requested that she Fedex all my documents back to me ASAP. She said she would as well as a check for a full refund of $750. It's now May 3 & she stopped replying to messages, has stolen my business files, & as far as I'm concerned stolen $750. My biggest concern was the lack of communication. My business, livelihood, & employees livelihood are at stake & she couldn't find the time too let me know whats going on. She said she doesn't update her clients unless she has good news or something to update. I asked how could she have an update when she hadn't done anything aid I still have the freeze on my account, she never filed for any extensions, she never called the credit union, she did not call the Texas Comptroller & now I'm here with my personal bank account frozen & a tax lien on all of my personal property. the $750 was all I had to hire someone for this task & she & Accurate DFW Tax Solutions left me in a worse position that when they found me. She said I need to have more patients to follow the system. I don't truly think she knows the system. I called the Comptroller & had 2019, 2020, 2021, & the first qtr of 2022 filed in 3 hours.
