Her focus and knowing what you are going to ask before you ask a question goes to her superior credentials and time in the tax industry. All work she has done for me has always provided the most money back to me or the very least amount owed in taxes both federally and state wise. I cannot extol her abilities in just the room here. Before you call anyone else just give her or anyone at The Tax Specialist a call and you'll see why it would be a waste of your time to continue looking for a tax consultant or tax preparer. They can handle even the most difficult tax circumstance serving not only your best interest but I can attest that Su can explain your best options in a way you can understand easily. The quick online do it yourselves would cost me thousands more in owed taxes! They force me to file Single. Literally our daughter is with me full time. Meaning full expenses, slumber parties and all... Clay, thank you! 3 years and counting. EV Tax credits can be a nightmare. Not with Clay. I just gave him the VIN along with my purchase receipt and let him work his magic. I do not make a lot of money, higher than the median, but that's not saying much. So I save money wherever I can. This year--our third year using their services--we were charged nearly double what we paid the previous year. When we questioned the increase, we were told that the prior pricing was not reflective of their standard rates. They did issue a partial refund of around $100, but the situation still raised concerns. Additionally, we were assigned a new tax preparer this year, which made the significant increase in cost even more surprising. Overall, the experience left us feeling uncertain about the consistency and transparency of their pricing and service.

That alone felt misleading. But it got worse. I paid the exact amount H&R Block told me to pay to the IRS on 4/7, well before the April deadline. Yet not long after, I received a notice from the IRS that I was being penalized for failure to pay estimated taxes. I double-checked and confirmed I followed H&R Block's instructions exactly. When I called to get help, the rep said there was nothing he could do and that I'd just have to keep calling back until I reached someone at the local office. Honestly, who has time for that? Bottom line: I paid way more than expected and now I'm being penalized for mistakes that were not mine. I will never use H&R Block again. Stay away.

I used Incite Tax for 2 years, and was not overall impressed with them. The first year, they did…read morehandle the taxes portion well and I had no hiccups through the process. The second year, I've had the worst experience filing my taxes that I can remember. Both years they have been extremely slow in correspondence, and reluctant to answer questions, which is aggravating at times. For the second year, Incite filed my taxes incorrectly which led to $4,017 being taken out of my bank account by mistake. I sent them an email on May 4th inquiring about the funds being taken from my account. I had to call 10 times over the next 2 weeks just to find out what was going on. I was told 4 separate times the amendment would be filed "within the next couple of days" to which I would then have to call again and ask what was going on when the deadline passed. The employee handling my case drug his feet so much, that after 3 weeks I had to ask for a manager to step in on my case. That was on May 26th. I received an email from the employee handling my case on June 23rd (again prompted by me emailing him first) that my amendment was finally filed. It took from May 4th through June 23rd to just file my amendment, 50 days. According to the SC dept of Revenue, the amendment is still going to take 12 weeks before I am refunded the amount. In the time span it took to file the amendment, I never once received correspondence from them without me having to prompt it. Whether by text, email, or phone call. I even recommended them to several friends after the first year, but after this year, we have all decided we will no longer be using them for our taxes. I was very disappointed.
