Highly suggest taking your business elsewhere…read more I wanted to save some time this year and was willing to pay someone to do my taxes. The amount of time I spent on the phone following up after not getting responses was much more than it should have been. I also was verbally told that after I put my banking information in and signed the forms everything would be paid for by Scofield, and I wouldn't need to do anything. Fast forward to three months later and I get a bill in the mail saying I hadn't paid my state's income tax. Now I have to pay that along with three month's of interest, all because there was a miscommunication. I called them and they said there was nothing they could do...not even pay the interest, and they didn't own up to making a mistake. If I had known the trouble this would be I would have rather spent a few hours to do my own taxes.

Craig prepares both my personal taxes and my business taxes. I don't believe there is a CPA anywhere in the country that could even come close to touching the incredible talent and expertise that Craig has. Craig is simply a genius at what he does. We recently told our son, who is also a CPA living in California, about the tax miracles Craig has provided for us. It is that time of the year again ... tax time. For many people the programs we can download or use…read moreonline are sufficient for preparing taxes; but for some who have uber deductions or wonky incomes you need a good accountant. Well the staffers at Thorne are excellent! To be honest and forthright, they are our corporate accountants at the office, not my actual personal accountant because (as mentioned before) I can do my taxes at home. But I do visit Thorne almost monthly for the corporate stuff. Our personal accountant in the office is great. He is always available to answer questions about General Ledger codes, or reports, or even billing. I enjoy going to their office because I am always greeting with a smile and sometimes a cookie. I drop off work for them to do and they give me a cookie? Seems like a fair trade! Their building is older, and kind of a maze, but do not let that fool you. They are great at what they do. If I had harder personal taxes I would for sure use them for that. I am glad they are around so I do not have more work to do for our company.
