They say they notified me one month ahead of time that it was going to renew but after that no reminder. There was no timely way to respond or change and just for reference, the current rate for a 15 month CD is 4.0% from some institutions with the 15 month term and they were offering me 1.6%. No wonder they didn't notify me until after they legally have to make Noah accommodation. It's dishonest and immoral. Don't do business with them. I have several cars and multiple homes insured with them and I expect more from a relationship like that. It was so exactly the minute the grace period had ended that I have to think that it was deliberate and intentional.

Upon calling them back, they said yes of course I didn't need to submit the form. But they had already spent $1500 in what seemed to me trying to find ways to charge me more. Seems unethical to me.

Unfortunately this firm mixed my bank account with another client, this having me receive two…read morerefunds. Instead of righting the wrong, I was asked to write a personal check to the client rather than having the firm account for their error. The first problem is that my data was given in error to another client. The second problem is that I was asked to write a personal check to their client. No ownership was taken for the mistake. I instead had the errant monies refunded to the IRS, which is the proper channel. Certainly more tedious for the other client, but the right thing to do. This firm's suggestion of me writing a personal check put me in potential auditing by IRS for "double dipping" if you will, as it would show me having two refunds in the same year. I have made my complaint to the board of accounting for the state of Maryland. I would suggest treading lightly given the lack of discretion and ethics used by this firm. I have moved on to a much more sound practice.

We explained our situation, only for the tax professional (who was very nice) to say he couldn't help us. He also didn't know about a Maryland first time homebuyer tax exemption and was Googling it. I had to prove it exists by showing him the official document. All of our returns were scanned in, but we can't see them in the portal. The branch took no responsibility, and had us call customer service. Customer service has so far not solved our problem and needs two hours to figure this out. I've called the branch, but no one picks up.
