At 6 AM, I managed to shut the keys in the trunk of my rental car - Argh!
I don't know the area, and as I am staying in a hotel in a city I don't know, I ask the clerk at the desk for a name of a company, or any suggestions....
It's early, so I have to believe she was still asleep but with her eyes open, so I ask for a phone book.
I call two different companies - neither of the numbers work. The third company I call, the guy say, 'Call H&H Towing, they're closer to you.'
I am hoping that maybe someone will be able to get my keys for me at this rate....
A lovely voiced young woman answers the phone, and promptly asks for my information. (So far, so good)
She tells me that it will be less than :40 mins, and it may be sooner. Well, I am not going anywhere fast, so I tell her to send the cavalry.
About 5 mins after hanging up with the Lovely Voice, I receive a phone call from the driver - very pleasant & professional - he asks me the questions that probably help a lot of people:
"Is there a button for the trunk on the underside of the car?"
"Can you get into the cab of the car?"
I confirm that I am REALLY locked out, and he laughs and agrees. The truck, the driver says, "...is lit up like a Christmas tree..." so I keep an eye out.
Sure enough, just about :35 mins later, up rolls Ray and he's pleasant, courteous and professional. He looks-over the situation, and in-under :3 mins he has the door open, and I locate my keys...exactly where I left them. In the damn trunk!
After a couple minutes of paperwork and pleasantries, Ray is done, and I am on the way to work.
Before we parted ways, I suggested to Ray that he / his company plaster the hotels in the Tumwater area with business cards...partly because the hotel clerk was really not very good with information, PLUS the fact that the three (3) other companies I called obviously didn't want my business!
If you get stuck in the Tumwater area, and need a tow / unlock, or any of the other 'car stuff' that H&H most certainly does....CALL H&H FIRST.
Prompt. Courteous. Incredibly thorough. Pleasant.
