Called for a tow on 1/15/26. Danny Shepherd came out to do the tow. He tried to jump the car, but accidentally did it backwards and reversed the polarity and caused a blown fuse and scoring. I saw him reverse the cables after sparks and smoke came up to try the other way. Car was towed to Lexus at Fife and they confirmed the damage and that it would cost over 1k to fix. Called Waqas Butt who may be related to the owner Arif Butt who told me that the employee did nothing wrong and that sometimes sparks and smoke can happen when trying to jump a car. Also told me that the car had a battery issue already and that it wasn't their fault. Car was fixed at Lexus, they replaced the battery as it was under warranty but I was charged $1055.85 to fix the blown main fuse. Has been incredibly frustrating that despite proof, Secure Towing is unable to take responsibility for an error they made. I have already followed up with Lexus as they were contracted with Secure Towing to do their roadside assistance and sent all the photos and documents they requested. I'm not worried about recouping the money as it was so obvious that it was Secure Towing's error that I'm 100% going to get my money back. But it was extra time and energy wasted due to actions of a dishonest company. If they're going to lie about something so obvious, what else would they lie about? Scummy business, stay far far away. read more

This driver didn't listen to anything I said Instead of towing the car to my dealer he insisted on to t trying to jump it, which wasn't the problem. When it started he suggested that we drive home instead of towing us the 1.1 miles to our dealer He was surly and argumentative. He gave me false information to avoid having to park in the dealers parking lot. Instead and against my request, he parked directly in front of the service bay. He also had us ride in our disabled car on the tow truck instead of in his cab saying he didn't have enough room. It is illegal to have riders in a car being towed or to park a tow truck a car in front of automobile service Bay. Poor customer service. I am reporting that the driver, Eric with Secure Services Towing, was not helpful. The next day, I received a call from the collision company where he had dropped my car off. The following is their report; -Notes on Tow from 2-21-25 ro 91631void: Service Tech arrived Friday morning to find the vehicle unlocked in front of the shop. Per Sevice Tech, He left Thursday, 2-20-25, at 6 p.m., and the car was not on the property. That evening, the cleaning crew found the car at approximately 7:30 pm on 2-20-25 out front of the shop, unlocked and running, with keys in the car. The cleaning crew (not collision shop employees) found the keys in the car, turned the car off, and dropped the keys in the drop box. Further information on Tow: The vehicle was dropped off between 6 pm (when Tim M left) and 7 pm (when the cleaning crew arrived). The vehicle was left running, unlocked, with keys inside. today we were refused a tow from this driver OR contractor (wa license plate: RPO2431) from AAA. We were told it is because we are at a storage unit when it is in fact a parking and storage unit. They also said if the car were on the street they would take it. The car has flat tires and has been parked here for sometime. We were assured from AAA that they would pick it up on a flatbed truck. This company, Secure Towing Services, just dropped off a car in my residential neighborhood, right next to a park. There is clearly a person who is living in the car. They towed the car with the person in the front seat of the car the entire time (the tow truck driver even unloaded his suitcases and set them on the sidewalk.) When I called to ask if this was a normal thing for them to do, the man I was talking to avoided my question, then proceeded to interrupt me, and told me, "Not to get loud with him." Then he told me to call 911 or better yet the non emergency line and they will send someone out to TOW THEM!! He then told me not to threaten him when I said my next step will be to call 911. Beware of a towing service that is called through triple AAA and tries to convince you to go through your insurance so you pay up front and they will conveniently store the car for you at their yard for a fee. After an accident, I believed the tow truck driver but called AAA when I got home because something did not seem right. AAA made STS bring my car to my home because the driver gave me false information. This is fraud. STS was sent out to tow car - driver was told the car had no brakes - driver did not chain car but proceeded to get into car, turned car on and rammed my garage door twice. After I called and asked them to pay for the pot, they said I didn't have enough evidence even though I have a photo of the smashed pot and the tire marks on my neighbor's lawn leading right up to the pot. Managed to get to a place to call AAA.....they said they would get someone within an hour.....hour later, still nobody. Call back and they tell me that they are having a hard time finding a service provider......AND that I can call for my own tow and pay out of pocket and get reimbursed from them. WHAT??????? I was FURIOUS!!!!! Even though Google says they are temporarily closed but there are still signs around town and a Facebook page advertising their service. The issue is the number on the signs and the Facebook page is not for the towing company anymore but instead for someone's private cell phone. My daughter called AAA to get assistance in changing the tire on our Toyota Highlander. She had my granddaughter with her who has special needs. The tow truck driver that came to help my daughter was Awesome. He was kind, patient and changed the tire quickly, but what was so special about him was how he interacted with my granddaughter to make sure she wasn't scared when he jacked the vehicle up and down. After heading to downtown Tacoma for an appointment I noticed my tire was flat. I called AAA to have my tire changed, after waiting nearly an hour a service man showed up and promptly informed me since my car is a Volkswagen that I needed a special tool to take my lug nuts off and he couldn't help me. We broke down on the side of I-5 and AAA sent jim from secure Towing Serves. He called us and made sure everyone was safe said he would be there in 12 min he got there in 9min. From the get go his main priority was to get us off the side of the I-5. We concerned to him that we had been on our way to drop our son off at his father's house in vancouver, wa and one of us had to stay back because our sons grandfather was on his way to us to take our son back to vancouver. When he heard that he took us to the local jack in th he box where he waited with both of us for over an hour until the child's grandfather arrived. He was funny and made all of us even the kids feel safe and relaxed. Usuring us that it was no problem at all. He then drove us back with our vehicle on the flat bed all the way to everett wa. Driver called at 1044 saying still in Tacoma maybe another hour. Called main number back and was told "times are estimated ". from a customer stand point when I called initially if the estimate time was not accurate it would've been nice to know that. As a AAA member it's the luck of the draw on who comes to help you out. I started to worry when they changed the company after I set up a tow for Bessy, my 21 year old Toyota Avalon with 304,000 miles (yes that is three hundred thousand). Well, as luck would have it, Secure Towing arrived AHEAD of the expected time! Wow first star! Robin was sharp, efficient and a treated Bessy with kid gloves. Second star! He patiently listened to my concerns (because of her age) and transported her over 64 miles home! Third star! I headed out in another vehicle and got home before Robin arrived, but not by much.
