This rotisserie chicken stand is a MUST on your visit to Berlin. Get a half chicken with pommes and ask for the garlic sauce (pass on ketchup and mayo, the mayo is a bit runny/milky). The chicken is super tender and juicy, the skin is seasoned, crispy, and delicious, you won't be able to stop once you start. I'm quite convinced that the drunk to sober ratio of people who eat here is about 75/25 on a good day. If you're wasted and stumbling down Skalitzerstr, the glistening rotisserie chicken may indeed tantalize you. You probably even think it tastes great while you're eating it. Me? I threw it out after I was halfway through. I've gone more than once, but I start to feel a bit icky before I'm even finished. Hey, I even tried eating there when drunk. Either way, my stomach was telling me something was wrong. I personally found the seasoning to be too heavy on the salt. This scathing review will do little to slow their popularity, as they've recently opened a sitdown eatery directly across the street. Ah, Berlin. The Hühnerhaus will likely forever remain a 'Berliner experience.' Like Burgermeister, this experience involves waiting in a long line when you're drunk to eat food that you should instead be giving to your dog. read more

Anyone who knows me will know I'm an absolute fiend for some good chicken and that I'm always on the lookout for a good restaurant to satiate my tastes. Huhnerhaus did just that, and for quite a steal of a price. I've been back on multiple occasions and have yet to see them falter on taste. When i took my first bite of the half chicken I ordered, I knew I was in for a tasty experience. The salty crunch of the skin worked in perfect conjunction with the chicken, complimenting its moist, braised flavor. The fries came out well and were tasty; however, they did seem to be a bit moist, but it did not detract too much from the overall taste. All in all, I would definitely recommend this great stand to anyone in the Kreuzberg area. They offer delicious food after a long night out at a truly unbeatable price point, and any visit to Kreuzberg would seem unfinished without a stop here. read more

They just opened a full scale restaurant where you can sit down out of the cold across the street. LOVE! This is the best chicken in Berlin and now it comes with warmth, free tea, and pickled vegetables on every table. read more

Very delicious and clean restaurant. The chicken tastes really good. I have one comment that the sauce is not what expected, u cannot enjoy the garlic or the chilli sauce. In general, this turkish retaurant deserves taking lunch once a week especiually if u hang out around. read more

amazing chicken and sides and amazing deal...was addicted for a few weeks when I lived near by
