I recently moved to Hawaii and had to finally leave a review for Gyro Stop. I've tried Greek food here once and it was disappointing--nothing compares to Gyro Stop. It was my absolute favorite place to eat back in Washington. Everything there is so good! I especially loved the hummus--I'd even order a side just to keep at home. A few years ago, I'd had a couple of poor experiences here but recently I have been returning. I can say that 3 times in a row, including one delivery, that this place is solid. I always get takeout, the service is friendly and the restaurant is immaculate. I usually get plates, not wraps or sandwiches, and their shawarma is pretty good. However I tried their beef/lamb kofta kebab plate and was blown away. It was made freshly in front of me, the 2 large kebabs were seared on the griddle with a little mix of tomatoes and onions, served over good rice, along with a small salad and a little hummus. The pita was still raging hot when I got home. It was a huge amount of food for $18 and I'd get again in a heartbeat. read more

I always order the gyro salad with the meat in the side so the hot meat doesn't make my salad soggy on the way home. Stopped in here during the stay at home order for take out. First time there and the 2 guys working were super friendly. They were out of something we wanted to try but no big deal, lots to pick from on the menu. We enjoyed a gyro platter and chicken platter. Big meals with rice, hummus, salad, pita bread. It was packed well for take out. Salad was good, plenty of olives. Beef was juicier than the chicken but it's always that way at any gyro place. Pita and hummus were tasty. It took him a while to even realize I was in the store and when he did come out he was on headset taking on the phone. Which was obviously more important then customer service since my salad was thrown together and I wasn't even asked if I would like anything else. Also I wasn't asked if I wanted to eat it here or have it to go. I also wasn't able to finish my signature when I paid for it and at the end he just walked away without another word.
