Went out on a 4 hour charter in hopes to catch some sharks, and did just that! Captain Jay and his mate were knowledgeable, down to earth, and very personable during our trip. Gypsy has 2 more lifelong customers after this excellent experience!

Pontoon Boat Rental for an Adventurous Day Out in the Clearwater Waterways and Gulf Coast! It was…read moreclear that Clearwater Boat Rentals was the way to go when we were planning a day out on the open water. They are located at Slip #48 which is conveniently right across from the Private Parking Lot to the Marina! The Marina provides Restrooms, Shopping, Food, Beverages, Ice, and anything else you might need/forgotten for your Boating Day! The friendly staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional giving us all of the information we would need for our day out. Chris, our educated informate explained the very complex Boating Map to us letting you know where to go, where not to go, fish you may see, and everything you can do/see while out on the water. The next step was for the Boat Tour; a quick painless run-down of where everything is on the boat! Their Rentals include a Cooler with Ice, and a Trash Bag! A HUGE Bonus that we have never encountered while privately renting any other boat! There is plenty of Storage on board for just about anything you would like to bring but be sure to put your things in a Waterproof Bag as the Boat Floor does get wet no matter what compartment you put your belongings in. Our 21Ft Cruising Pontoon has capacity for 2-9 Passengers with an Engine Size of 70HP! Everything on the Pontoon was Clean, Well Maintained, and in "New" Condition! It is also equipped with a Stereo and they provide you with a Jack Cable so you can use your Smart Phone Tunes! Whether you are planning on going Fishing, Cruising, Hanging at the Sandbars, Sightseeing, or Mega House Hunting you will be able to do it all! If you have any questions or get lost just give them a quick call! Chris was extremely helpful when we got lost and when a Storm was a brewing towards us! We would definitely Rent from Clearwater Boat Rentals again when we are in the area!

So this is the second time I have booked with this company. First time was on a bigger boat with an…read moreair-conditioned inside area. The boat I was on today was not air-conditioned inside, but still a decent size boat. The larger boat has places to lay down in case you're not feeling well. The smaller boat does not. In both instances there was only two people helping out when you needed assistance both times there were someone new and unexperienced. Fortunately for me, I know how to fish, add a new hook as needed, and takeoff my own fish so instead of waiting around, I often not only helped myself but helped those around me. Very discouraging since they do not have hand rags. Being this is my second time I was aware of this so I brought my own this time around. The spool on the fishing rods are awful... I'm not certain how often they change the line out or get out the bubbles in the lines. Several people around me were having issues. On both cases there was only one large catch of the day. Most of what I caught were grunts and Porgies- both which do not have size limits. I kept only the large ones. - about 1'0" The boat I was on today only offered squid and shrimp.- no fish for bait. My suggestion is to check which boat you're on and if there's air-conditioning., bring some hand towels/rags, nail clippers, and your own needle nose pliers. I almost forgot to mention that my most recent experience, one of the guys was walking around, smoking the entire time and for someone who has severe asthma and heart conditions. This was a huge problem. The rating has since come down to a three. Do I dare go on this boat again? Hummmmm I don't know....would you?
