I have had the last negative experience I'm going to allow myself to have here. After two years of…read morechances, I am done. Skip to the last paragraph of this review for the bottom line. Let's talk only about my most recent experience, and not the other four visits in the last two years where two different doctors and a tech were rude and sarcastic and the front desk overcharged me, threatened a collection, and then sent me a refund check six months later once they came to agree that they did, in fact, overcharge me. My most recent visit: I made an urgent appointment. I was in extreme, inexplicable pain. I took notes and dated my observations in my phone so I could give the best rundown of my situation. When I offered that to dr Ayanna-something, she said "I'm not going to look at that." Like why not? I came in with such pain and anxiety I could barely speak. Let her know I'm in extreme pain and what my anxieties are and instead of reassuring me that she'll be as careful as possible and generally, y'know, exercising bedside manners, she says "well, I'm not just going to pretend to forget everything I learned in school, so if you're not going to let me do what I need to do there's no point in moving forward." And "I'm not going to prescribe you medication just because you said so."...wtf?? Nobody even asked her for medication. I'm not a narc scamming for pills. Then, she continues to lecture me about how she's not going to accommodate the fact that I'm in pain and she's going to do what she has to do and basically I need to suck it up. Just imagine yourself in my situation--completely out of the blue, extreme pain...anxiety...asking a medical professional for reassurance...and they respond with sarcasm and essentially say your primary concern (severe pain) is not their primary concern. Disgusting. I very nearly walked out of the office, but I was very torn between how much pain I was in and how terrible this doctor was (yeah, it was that bad of an experience). Fast forward to the actual exam, I am literally in tears and fighting a knee jerk reaction to leap in pain and she has the AUDACITY to say to me that "I think your pain is more anxiety related and not as bad as you think."....ARE YOU INSANE??? So this medical dr makes a weak and presumptuous assessment of my situation and then has the nerve to invalidate my statement of symptoms and tell me it's mostly all in my head. The words I have to describe that kind of horrible unprofessionalism are not even appropriate for yelp or google. On the flip side of the exam, she says not a word to me on my way out the door--not a "get well soon", or a "we'll follow up in three days to see if the course of treatment is working as intended."...she just walks out, fills out paperwork, and I leave. Two final points: on my check in, I clicked that I wanted a chaperone in the room for the exam. During my exam, no third party was present. And on my file when I received a copy, it had been input that I "declined chaperone." That is a wrong input of information and a patients' rights violation, I'm sure. Secondly, once again, their credit card machine didn't work when I came in, so I couldn't reconcile my co-pay for the visit and should wait to be billed whenever they get to it. I asked for a complete copy of my file and sat in my car in the parking lot while I researched better doctors. In my 1.5+ years of experience, this office is populated by rude, sarcastic, aggressive staff with no bedside manners and poor billing practices. I will never go back there again and neither should you.

First, I'd like to thank Michelle B. for her positive review. I had been very unhappy with my…read moreprevious ob/gyn and was looking for a new one. Michelle's review sent me to Dr. Parlavecchio in 2016 and I couldn't be happier. I prefer going to a one-doctor practice instead of a group. They treat you like a person and not a number. Dr. P's staff is great--very friendly, helpful and professional. Dr. Parlavecchio himself is very knowledgeable, kind and his exams are a breeze. He listens, explains things well and is the kind of doctor all patients need. As I said, I couldn't be happier to have found such a great doctor.

Probably…read more But then, I just calculated the days (yes, DAYS) of time I wasted sitting in the waiting room of Brunswick-Hills OBGYN for my last pregnancy, and I was inspired to sing the praises of Dr. Parlavecchio and his wonderful staff! At Brunswick-Hills, I never waited less than 1 full hour to see a doctor. Over the course of a 9 month pregnancy, where you're going anywhere from 1-5 times in a month, that adds up to a whole lot of wasted time. I'm in my 7th month of my current pregnancy, and my behind has never even touched a waiting room chair at Dr. Parlavecchio's office. No kidding. I walk in, and they're ready for me. I'm in and out within 15-20 minutes. Even counting the drive from Hillsborough to Raritan, I'm back home in less time than it would have taken me to just wait out the waiting room portion of an appointment at Brunswick-Hills. He and his staff are super friendly, considerate, and never rushed. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes they had a doctor who cares about them and their time, which is sadly very rare today.

Horrible 2 week D & C post op experience with Dr. Pineda. With a 3:30 appointment waited 2 hours…read morebefore I was seen. She didn't read my file before she came in. Sprung genetic results on me without warning ( we were told by Dr Woltz who performed the D & C they wouldn't be ready at my post op). My husband wasn't there for the results because he had to leave to pick up our son because they were running 2 hours late. Genetic results were delivered to me with no counseling other than saying the genetics were normal and the miscarriage cause was unknown. Which was another blow because we had been told over and over it was likely a chromosomal issue, but it wasn't. I had to ask 10 questions to get any other explanation. Thank goodness my head was clear enough to do that. You'd think delivering such news would have been done more sensitively, and thoroughly, she didn't even know the size my fetus was measuring at the time of the ultrasound with no heartbeat. She had to go look it up when I asked. She didn't even have my paper file in the room. I was the last patient they saw that day, and I honestly felt like she couldn't wait to be done with me to go home. I'm sorry I wasn't an easy annual Pap smear, I was a post op high risk 40 year old woman who was dealing with her second D&C and MMC. Facts again she didn't know until I told her because she didn't look at my file before coming in. I saw the PA (Amna) as I left, who diagnosed the MMC, she asked if the Dr suggested a referral to fertility specialists. I said she didn't and Amna was shocked. I like Amna. After this I don't think I can go back there. I lived further north when I had my son and first miscarriage and saw Dr Garfinkle in Morristown. He took his time spoke to us in his office and respected the difficultly we had dealing with the news. Not like Dr. Pineda who gave me lab results alone while sitting on an exam table with no counseling or offer to speak with someone else while I sobbed in front of her. She even failed to say "you're healed up great, it's ok to stick things in your vagina now!" Which was what I thought to be the PURPOSE of the visit. I honestly don't like to leave reviews for things, but this was something I couldn't keep quiet about. My experience on Friday was too traumatic. I won't go back. Dr. Woltz was great. Amna was great. Even saw Dr. Miranda for earlier issues and she was fine. But Dr. Pineda dropped the ball BIG TIME. And if you are seeing the doctors it's a crap shoot, you can see any of the three. If you are high risk, with recurrent miscarriages and are looking for a sensitive approach I highly encourage you to find another practice.

Advanced Obstetrics and Gynecology has several offices in Hunterdon and Somerset counties. When booking an appointment I would suggest checking for the closest office since they have several locations. I really like Dr Goglia. She is very thorough and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Yes in the system appears both but I have a termination letter for the first one and the insurance just told me it took time to be updated in the system. my new ins. is aware of the situation and told me it shouldn't be a problem "just show up the termination letter". Well, I explained it to the billing department who was rude, unprofessional, and careless but, they didn't care, they didn't even allow me to send the letter. They are not willing to work at all, and that is why are losing clients.
