What I will say is that the staff at the front desk and at the intake process may be curt but they ultimately respectful. I work in customer service and I can sympathize with what they go through. The daily workload is taxing to say the least and the constant exposure to people can and does wear people down. To cope, niceties are given the boot and people stick to just the facts. Ultimately behind the facade I could tell that the staff care. They are just trying to survive. Once I saw and interacted with Dr Winsome Parchment I was very grateful that I allowed myself to go through with the appointment instead of cancel and reschedule with another practice. I had a very weird experience with Dr. Prefer. I had been her patient for about 8 months and over…read morethe holiday break went to schedule my annual mammogram. I didn't have a prescription for a mammogram in the portal, and as I had an appointment with her in January I figured I'd get a prescription for it then as it was only a couple weeks away. That would have made me about 4 weeks overdue for a mammogram. During my January appointment I asked Dr. Prefer for a mammogram prescription and immediately after our appointment I got a very hostile note in the portal from her basically saying I was a terrible patient for not having a mammogram and I best shape up if I wanted to be her patient. Baring in mind that I was 4 weeks overdue AND I DIDN'T HAVE A PRESCRIPTION from her for a mammogram. I'm not sure what she had expected me to do without a prescription, and I began to wonder if I was supposed to get one without a prescription and called the imaging center. They said I could "self refer" if I met certain low risk criteria. So I scheduled an appointment as a self referral for later that week. In the meantime I went to the pharmacy for a flu shot and the pharmacy tech told me that they tried to auto refill my usual prescriptions but my doctor had called and canceled all my women's health prescriptions. I asked who would cancel basic maintenance meds and - it was Dr. Prefer. The pharmacy said they never see this. She canceled them the very same day as our appointment. Because I was 4 weeks overdue for a mammogram - AND AGAIN - DID NOT have a prescription. I had my self referred results sent to a new provider who shared in my outrage. People project all sorts of nonsense onto others - but at the point I'm paying $200 for a 20 minute appointment filled with projections of nastiness and hostility is completely unacceptable and frankly entitled and gross. Shame on her.

For many young women, going for the first ever gynecological exam feels frightening and/or embarrassing. Back then, I was anxious about all medical exams and procedures. Physicians in general scared me and I had already had a bad experience with the very first gynecologist I had tried. Dr Prefer listened to my fears and reassured me in a very calm, soothing voice. She really took her time explaining everything and getting me used to the whole idea of a gynecological exam. I trusted her and was able to relax. Over the last 25 years, Dr Prefer has been there for me consistently, even once late at night for an emergency. I appreciate so much how she has taken care of me all the way from young adulthood through to perimenopause! There's a reason that I drive an hour to see Dr Prefer, and it's that she is and one of the top three doctors I have ever been to for anything in my entire life! Really, I can't imagine a Dr being more caring, approachable, knowledgeable, kind, and thorough than Dr Prefer is. Thank you Dr Prefer!

It's nearly impossible to get someone on the phone, and when you do, you're usually told they'll call you back -- which rarely happens. I often have to leave multiple voicemails, emails, and texts just to get a response. Most recently, I was unexpectedly charged for a service that has always been included in my office visit fee. This was never communicated in advance. Be sure to ask detailed questions about all potential charges before your appointment to avoid surprises.

I called them, they sent a message to confirm the appointment and a phone call. Three opportunities to mention the move. Got to the right office and didn't leave until 1:40. So an hour and a half for a flu shot that took at most 5 minutes. Do you need to space out the appointments? Hire more doctors? Take on less patients? I don't know about other people but after over 2 years with appointments like these I'm ready to start looking for a new office. Adding insult to injury, having waited so long at the doctor's office my guy has missed his nap window. So thanks for wasting my time, robbing me of any down time to get anything done and having a cranky toddler for the rest of the day.

The front desk I barely have to speak to so I can't say much. The MAs I only really had one assist me every time we went and she was super friendly. My son usually goes to the florham park office, but we had to resort to west orange once or twice. Now my issue is I called numerous times and asked about my son vaccination record (he was only 2.5 months old) so there was only 3 things on this record. Unfortunately the office is too far for me (40 mins) my son got an ear infection and I had to make an appt close to home. Now after his first appt I was told he needed his immunization records in order to be seen again by the new office near home. When I called florham park to retrieve these I was told "30 days you can pick it up" WHAT?!!!! I wasn't asking for medical records and I was going back and forth numerous times and different days... I gave up, bc as a new mom I'm exhausted and didn't have it in me to argue. ( I also emailed the office as suggested and at this point I wanted all records bc I was done with this facility and lack of common sense) So fast forward to two weeks later, I had to last min get my son in to do a quick covid test ( as I couldn't be seen near home bc I still wasn't able to retrieve his records). Once I got in I made sure to get his immunization rec., and once our appt was done I was told 24 hours for results to be in. I waited over 24 hours and finally called...the lady at the front desk told me their backed up on test.... Which made no sense but okay so she said to call in a day, well I gave them two days now at this point it's 5 days LATER I spoke to someone at 9am and they told me an on call doctor will call with my 2.5 month old sons results ( as covid result aren't important I guess) and guess what?.... NO CALL! So, aggravated as I was I called again and left a voicemail and I'm sure you can guess it again.... NO CALL BACK.... EVER! Now it's a week and a few days later I called, the front desk answered and literally gave me his results... it was THAT SIMPLE. Now I get an email 3 weeks later about medical records saying "it'll be ready in two weeks" well now it's over the legal 30 day period and clearly over the two weeks I was promised. My son is now 4 months what is so hard about printing or sending a few notes on his visits when he hasn't even been here more than 4/5 visits??? All this did was put me back on being able to treat my son as needed medically, very unprofessional as a medical office for children. Not sure what the excuse is holding medical records for longer than necessary I would never make my patients wait the 30 day period. That is totally absurd and so rude! I do work in medical and manage a super busy office so the way this office is handling specific/simple task is mind boggling. I will be calling back and giving a piece of my mind as they totally violated my rights to medical records and as the state of NJ it's a 30 day wait period.. which they're aware, but clearly can't manage that time correctly. This office seems very slow paced every time I've been here so I'm not sure what the issue is with helping patients out with simple things as this.

Spectacular and Trusted…read more It is always amazing when you find a doctor of Dr. Fiske's caliber. My issue was Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). The procedure Dr. Fiske suggested involved a green light laser. The procedure was a complete success. It has been 2 years. I find the staff well above average and Dr. Fiske has earned my admiration and trust. Strongly recommended!

His diagnosis was to stop drinking red wine and other inflammatory food & drink, as well as "lifestyle changes" WTF??? She doesn't drink. They also took a urine sample to search for infection. He also prescribed Phenazopyridine which you can buy OTC. 3 days later the pain was so bad I took her to the E.R. They immediately took and tested a urine sample and within the hour found an infection. They gave her pain meds and antibiotics. Problem solved, or soon will be. It's now 4 days later and still no word from the urologists office. I suggest finding a doctor who has a clue. If someone comes in with those types of symptoms for 2 weeks you immediately start them on antibiotics until the test results come back.
