I rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly broke my heart. I enrolled my 3-year-old son in this gymnastics program hoping it would be a positive, welcoming space where he could learn, grow, and interact with other children. My son is autistic, and like any parent, I'm doing everything I can to help him feel included and comfortable in the world. Before starting, I made the staff aware of his needs. Instead of patience or understanding, what we experienced was the complete opposite. The instructors displayed unprofessional and hurtful behavior--making uncomfortable looks, using hand gestures to signal him to go away, and essentially excluding him rather than supporting him. No child should ever be made to feel like they don't belong--especially in a place that's supposed to encourage growth and confidence. Watching this happen to my son was devastating. I understand that not every instructor is trained to work with children who have different needs--but that is exactly why proper training and awareness are so important. If you're going to work with young children, compassion, patience, and inclusivity should be the baseline. I share this so other parents are aware. Every child deserves kindness, respect, and a chance to participate without judgment. I hope this business takes this seriously and invests in educating their staff so no other child or parent has to go through this. read more

The instructor often does not walk into the building until 4-2 minutes before class starts. I was to blame for arriving early to class it leading my daughter to throw a tantrum. The logic was "you show known better than to arrive early" I typically arrive 10 minutes early. Which is consider on time. The owner allowed one of her employees to yell, demean, belittle and argue with me while I'm attempting to calm my daughter down and cancel future classes due to being very overwhelmed and it no longer feeling appropriate to bring her to the class. The employee yelled she just "couldn't understand why you can't just grab your shit and sit her in her car seat and go" I attempted to explain I can't just introduce or force her into a car seat when she's this unsettled. Nor is it safe to pick her up because she will throw and force herself down. They threaten and called security; kicked us out instead of helping. The owner can't deescalate or control her employees from going off on a customer. The employee lacks patience, empathy and professionalism considering they have a daycare and preschool. They did not offer to help calm her down, or to help to grab my bags and items to cars. I debated to write this review. My 18 month year old is at the age of unexpectedly horrible tantrums. Where once she starts the only safe option is to let her throw it and wait until she is really to receive to receive help from me for deescalation. If I pick her up she will do everything to throw herself out of my arms and if she's on the ground she will bang her head. I have to supervise a safe tantrum. She had one of those days. when attempting to confirm if I would be able to make up the class. I requested it a physical copy. I wasn't attempting to be condescending or difficult. I come from if it isn't documented, it didn't happen. I like paper trail for reassurance. In attempted to explain to my daughter I get she's upset and disappointed. We weren't allowed on the mat yet, those are the rules and they implemented it. Somehow me explaining this and the lack empathy from it = talking bad about her boss. The employee yelled at me saying I think the world evolves around me for not feeling safe to take my daughter outside and wanting a refund for future classes. I have never felt more violated and traumatized in my life. The owner lie about refunding me the classes. She refunded me 0.00 to my account. she couldn't step in and calm her employee. For having a daycare and preschool You would think they would have the educational training and skills to aid in situations like these to aid in calming a child. This review is not from a place of malice or revenge. It brought me closure for the extremities they took on me. read more

Is because of that lady that sits in the front desk and does absolutely nothing and is so cold. My daughters used to attend their preschool/daycare program. I'm glad I have pulled them out because one of my daughters was always treated unfairly and it broke my heart because she loved that school. The director Ms Rhonda is very mean. When she was " disobedient" she kept her in the room with her for an over an hour to calm her down. Told me that she couldn't come back till she showed improvement but her twin sister could still attend. My daughter is 4, these type of punishments are unacceptable. For a daycare you need to have a little patience kids can't be perfect all the time they have their days just like us. What really annoyed me is when she said " she apologized yesterday when she acted out but I don't accept the apology because she did it again today". I took her to a therapist to see if something could maybe be wrong with my daughter since she wanted to imply she might have behavioral issues. Nope the therapist said my daughter is fine it was maybe the environment she was is. My daughter is very happy in the new daycare school she attends and has no issues. This place really needs to be checked out some people just shouldn't be working with children especially if they're just doing it for the money. Great coaches, great atmosphere, and all of the above when kids are injured the coach makes sure they don't do too much to injure themselves any further and as a parent I appreciated that more than I could explain. I love this place I have my daughter in the youngest class. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because of one of the coaches. She doesn't do anything with the babies she just stands there and watches and all of the transitions are so awkward with her. She's gone on vacation for a couple of weeks and it was nice having a coach that actually tries to teach a skill individualized to my child. She gave my daughter a bit of time and found the opportunity to teach her how to pull herself up on the gymnastics bar. If your child has coach Julie just look forward to having a coach that sits around and says hello to any other person all the way across the gym. There isn't much technique being taught . Class sizes are too big. Kids are left to do whatever due to class sizes being to big. Small things are being overlooked and not being taught (hand placement, foot placement) general instructions are very vague. If your child is over 6 I wouldn't waste my time. Look into a real gym for better results. Mediocre is being generous when describing the skill level. Some instructors look like they do not want to be there and have other places to go. read more

Sanitation and attentive issues; I'm giving it 2 stars because originally it started off pretty well my daughter was in red stars for beginners and her first instructor was really attentive and engaged with the children, but soon after the instructors would change two to three more times before settling on a young girl didn't seem to have much interest in teaching, spent most of her time on her phone didn't help improve kids skills kind of just let them do what they wanted with Little Instruction in the area she tells them to be in with no demonstration, while she goes back on her phone. Final straw was this program has multiples other programs which is nice but they share the same floor sometimes and I just could not get over at the sanitary issue of having outdoor shoes on the main floor mat where children put their hands and their faces... it really only takes a few seconds to remove shoes. read more

So about 3 years ago I attended a class that my daughter had my granddaughter enrolled in. This was only her second class, and myself and my daughter will never forget how unorganized and ridiculous it was. The coach was over 10 minutes late, and when two of the other parents inquired as to what was going on, the lady at the front desk just kind of shrugged her shoulders and said I'm sorry but she's on her way. When she finally did arrive she was on her phone as she walked in, and when she finally made her way to the floor seem like she had a personal issue going on and should not have even been there. The kids were paid minimal attention to and it was one of the most unorganized clusters I've seen at a place like that that is a supposed organized event, class and training center. This was enough for me at that time to not enroll my grandson (he wanted to do tumbling I believe) and for my daughter to have that as the final class for my granddaughter. OK so fast forward to just last month, and myself and my wife sat in to just observe for about 30 minutes to decide if we wanted to ask some questions and give them another chance and bring our younger granddaughter there. For the first 15 minutes there were two parents of attending kids sitting next to us along with a few other parents, who were cursing up a storm and talking about negative things. I'm 100% certain one or two of the staff members along with a couple coaches heard them yet no staff approached these two very immature adults to ask them to please be respectful or to leave. My wife and I along with a couple other parents were just looking at each other and some of the staff like what the heck is this!?! Anyways before I left I couldn't just not acknowledge that situation and I approached / discussed with a lady at the front desk. Her response was something to the extent of "we often get very overwhelmed here and can't control everything that's said or talked about in The waiting areas" .... Like WTF? SHE LITERALLY GAVE ME THAT RESPONSE AND WALKED AWAY FROM ME TO TEND TO OTHER BUSINESS!!! ... So nothing but bad and unprofessional experiences for myself from this place. What led me to come back and leave this review was just over conversation with my daughter today she was telling me about one of her friends who just a couple weeks ago had a very negative experience with some rude disrespectful and seemingly stuck up staff members while in there just asking a few simple questions deciding whether or not to enroll her daughter. ... Anyway, where my 2 granddaughters attend gymnastics now (in Lodi) there are MULTIPLE stories and complaints like this about gymstars from people whose children or themselves have attended there in the past. i was offered an opportunity to audition to work at gymstars and got strung along a month and a half long process just to be turned away from my 4th week audition for arriving 5 minutes late due to rain and traffic. The GM said that me being late because of traffic and rain made me unfit for the company. So i guess if you want to work here you should run all the red lights and speed past every car on the way over, or else you're just considered unfit to teach children. They also said in an email after this that my first 3 auditions left "uncertainty" even though I performed everything I was asked to do and did basically everything the actual instructor's i was working with was doing. I was told by each coach that I was a great fit and that a lot of people they audition just stand there unlike me. On my 3rd audition the coach Caitlyn informed me it wasn't even her class and she was unaware of the children's skill level, leaving us limited to activities to do. Let's also mention that I applied for a position to be a dance coach and applied with cheerleading and dance experience and not one of my 3 auditions were a dance or cheer class. All 3 were gymnastics and I still happily performed as well as possible without being able to spot the kids due to not being under gymstars insurance. Basically i was told to talk to the kids, give corrections and engage consistently, VERY SIMPLE and easy and any coach I worked with knows I reached the expectations i was told to reach. I honestly don't know what more they wanted from me but they completely wasted a month of my life that i could have spent applying to teach somewhere else, but was forced to leave my availability open for a month of auditions for a company who couldn't spare me 5 minutes. So if you are considering teaching here i highly recommend you to look elsewhere. Don't waste your time as they will have 0 respect for it. I also believe there is a sanitization issue as after my 3rd audition I fell Ill and later discovered it was COVID 19. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT read more

The same gentlemen helped set up the pizzas, drinks and even helped my grandson open his gifts & helped his mom with my grandson's gifts to her car. They did it all! Reviewing only the teddy bear camp. This place is an awesome place for kids. We have a 2.5 year old and he loves to come to the Mon/Wed free-for-all play time. Everything is padded and fairly soft so it's hard for him to get hurt. Also the "ball" pit is really fun for him to jump in. All in all it's not a bad deal either at $40 for 5 visits via the punch card. $8 for an 1.5 hour of crazy fun for the kiddo. Worth it. read more

I enrolled my daughter here for their new preschool program for my two year old. They are very warm and welcoming and made her feel at ease (being her first time in school). They were patient. I feel comfortable leaving her there for part time throughout the week. Although she'll cry when I leave at times, I know she has fun and I'm updated by all the activities she has throughout the day. They even get to play in the gym with the trampoline and foam blocks when there isn't a class. I'm able to keep up or ask questions through an app that makes it easier to communicate any concerns or questions I have (this is also how I receive photos). I brought my two year old daughter here for Teddy Bear Picnic and she had so much fun. There isn't a shy bone in her body, she got right in and played and ran around. GymStars Gymnastics has great friendly staff and some great programs. I love the monthly play night. Anyone is able to pay $20 (non member price) and drop their child off for 3 hours of fun. You sign them in and out and it is very safe. The kids run like crazy for the entire time and it wipes them out. When you pick them up they are bright red and exhausted and are asking when the next play night is. Parents are able to go have 3 hours to have a date, shop or have some peace and quiet :) Gym Stars also offers Gymnastics, cheer, dance, karate and many other services. It is pricey but I think you get your moneys worth. read more

We had my daughter's 4th birthday at Gymstars in September and everything turned out perfectly. I love those kinds of parties where you pretty much just have to show up and they do everything for you. It gives parents more time to chase the kids around and sit and chat with other party guests. All of the kids had a good time and the coaches were friendly and had a lot of patience. Maybe too much patience because I started to lose mine a few times. The coaches, on the other hand, were too calm. I guess they were trained to be that way. Good for them...maybe I need a lesson. :) The coaches also served the pizza, cake, and helped my daughter open her presents...and write down everything she got. See? Hassle-free. We brought our own favors but the kids also got a free sport bottle. They could order extra pizza for you from next door (David's) at a discount...so make sure you order through Gymstars. Fun place, organized, clean party room. They had a personalized "Happy Birthday, A_" on the mirror. Also, all of the kids took a group picture. It's usually hard to get kids to sit down long enough to take a pic, but they did it. Overall, a great experience. The best part was that the party was over in two hours. All we had to do was load up the gifts and head home to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing instead of cooking or cleaning up after a party. read more

We love gymstars!! Simple as that. My daughter has been here since she was a baby and she has really florished here. I started out by bringing her here just for their teddy bear picnic play time on Wednesdays mornings and that soon turned in to gymnastics classes, dance classes, and soccer classes. She eventually decided she that gymnastics was her thing and is now in their invitational classes and doing amazing. The staff is great, always friendly and welcoming. They greet us by name every time and always have a warm hug for my daughter. I had her 2nd birthday party here and let me tell you what, it really was the greatest birthday party ever! Wow....the staff here is absolutely awesome. I attended a birthday party here last Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. The gym itself is very big and clean. The staff is so friendly. They do a great job with birthday parties. I mean, they even do the whole gift opening process with the kids and help them read the cards, write down the items they received & help the kids say thank you to the appropriate guests. Wow! That never happens, not even with kids parents most of the time. My only issue is that they made all the kids take their shoes AND socks off. Ugh....all I thought about was foot fungus and ring worm, lol. They said it was because they don't want the kids to slip on the equipment....but since I signed a release of liability, I would rather they slip then have ring worm or a foot fungus. My daughter has been going to GymStars for 2 years now and during this time she has not only received first class physical development but inspirational character building as well. I would highly recommend Gymstars to anyone, they truly care about each child and get to know them personally, taking an interest in not only your child but your entire family. An additional note: During this time we also had a birthday party for her at the gym and it was the best party she ever had. If I could give negative stars I would! RIP OFF. The classes didn't teach much and does not help if you want to get your child to associate with other kids. This is for you and your baby to bond not for your baby to play with other kids. It stinks and the toys never looked clean. I wouldn't let my child play with blocks or leggos there very dirty with residue build up! Terrible customer service, they lied every time I have called and say something different when you are talking to them in person. I had been paying for months and my daughter is supposed to go 4x a week and in 3 months she went twice and they still charged me to cancel. When I called to cancel they said I was paid up and just submit request through the portal then I get a "thank you for your payment" email from them. One of the people I spoke with originally had said the make up classes can always be used and she noted my account when I signed up, I had said I wasn't able to make it every week she said that is fine and the missed classes can then move into dance classes offered as well. When talking to them to cancel she said the missed classes expire within 30 days. LIES. Better to pay to take your kids to do something else every weekend with out a strict schedule. They do not offer a lot of classes for the parents who work this is for the stay at home parents who have nothing better to do. read more

Easiest birthday parties imaginable. All you have to do is bring cake, candles, and camera, the staff literally does everything else! Summer Day Camp was great, kid came home pooped almost every day and talking about what theme they were doing that week. Gymnastics classes are fun and age appropriate. My 3 year old is never bored and loves to show off new skills at home. The staff is terrific! I was amazed that one of the coaches remembered my son's name 6 months after he day camp had ended! read more

"Dear Ms/Sir, Today when coming to pick up my kids from camp I sat down at the door a witnessed how my daughter was sobbing and asking for her lunch at the table for 10 minutes. I said nothing to see how long it would take for the lady supposed to supervise her to check her out. During ten minutes my daughter was intermittently looking around saying "My lunch my lunch" and the supervisor did neither helped her or asked her where was her lunch. When I went to ask the lady where was my daughter's lunch bag she could not tell me a then asked me to go check out a locker at the opposite side of the building. My question is simple, how can this happen? How can a kid ask for lunch and the supervisor sitting 3 feet away ignore her (she's 3 years old)? We have spent several year with Gymstars in both their competitive and non-competitive gymnastics. Their instructors and coaches are well trained and very friendly. The front office staff is knowledgeable and friendly as well. Their gymnastics teams are competitive and bring home metals and banners frequently attesting to skill of the coaches. I have attended one birthday party here as well and it went smoothly and was very enjoyable. Everything is taken care of for you. They lead the kids in activities, serve the food, even help write thank you cards. Overall very easy on the birthday kids parents :-) read more

We had our daughters 2nd Birthday there. It was so much fun! The staff was extremely nice and very helpful they pretty much did everything for us. No cleaning, the entire setup was done for us. If you want to enjoy your company and not have to worry about a thing this is the place to go. It came with Davids pizza, but we also were able to bring outside food as well. I also have a 9 and 14 year old they had lots of fun with there sister. The only thing that I would add is air-conditioning in the party room. Maybe more playtime after the kids eat. We signed our child (who is on the spectrum) up for the Star Bound class with the expectation it was a sensory friendly class. To our surprise it was the complete opposite. This agency advertises that they accommodate special needs children but rather use them as a means of revenue. This class requires parent involvement but what you aren't told is you are the teacher. You're told the exercises to complete and the staff stand by and only pay attention to one child. I DO NOT recommend this class to any parent if your child has special needs. Your child will be on display and expected to complete the same tasks as every other child (who aren't on the spectrum). Three classes overlap a section and the exercises aren't altered. If your child has a melt down, they're plenty of bystanders to watch and stare. No privacy or sensitivity to the children in the Star Bound class! If your child is a runner, good luck with any help. They have enclosed areas, which could be utilized but when suggested to the Manager, she said they were used for other classes. read more
