Seems like everything that can go wrong finds me. After having the brakes go out on my truck & have the cost of that repair earlier in the week, I was looking forward to the 4th of July holiday weekend with my kids & grandkids. Hooked up the big 5th wheel rig and headed out from Shakopee. I made it 9 miles when I heard something was very wrong. I found my way off the highway onto a backroad in Eden Prairie. I parked, checked the rig and found it was the truck's serpentine belt fraying off. I had no one to call. Feeling defeated I sat in the truck with my dog and cried. I sat there for about 20 minutes. People, trucks and cars passed by when a courier type van was passing by stopped and asked if I was ok or needed help. Told him my situation and he said that his business is on the other side of this block if you want to walk over and let's see what we can do. I walked over and he was in his office. It was then I realized this was not an employee. It was the owner himself. He ordered the part. He had his mechanic; Viktor install the new belt and make sure I was on my way. It's the things people do when no one's watching that tell you the content of their character. And even better, when they have zero to gain but have the compassion to help others shows the content of their heart. I will forever be grateful to Gus & Viktor. Multiple calls going and back and forth and her telling us to get it off the ship so they can't come back and charge us. This is why you go with a travel agent versus doing it all on your own. They know what to do and how to get it worked out. If you think that you will be saving money doing it on your own you won't be. This is the 3rd time she has had to work for us while we have been in port or already on the ship. She always has the paperwork to back things up for you and keep stuff straightened out.

As a single mom and the world the way it is right now, I was overwhelmed to say the least. Dean not only gave me stellar (and safe) options, he also had inside information I never would have known. He gave me forms that needed to be completed prior to travel (which I would have missed had I planned the trip myself), and knew of beaches to avoid due to seaweed infestations that were causing them to be shut down. He found options that fit my budget, criteria, and had things for both my kids and I to do. As if that wasn't enough, he was there every step of the way when I had questions (which was often...I haven't left the country in a while). With all this, you'd think he would cost a fortune, but I didn't pay him a dime. I believe he gets paid through the vacation company, but I'm not sure. As soon as we made it out of the house he was ready to stow our bags and open the doors for us. He was incredibly professional the whole ride. The car was immaculately clean and smelled of fresh leather. The ride was the coziest I have ever had. Liban took the turns smooth and was very attentive. Considering it was pitch black, Liban used his brights in the dark intersections and any wooded areas. We were very obviously Liban's priority. When we got to the airport he was at our door ready to help with our bags and wished us a safe trip with a warm handshake. The pricing to the airport was only slightly higher than Uber and Lyft at that time of day. The cost was far below a taxi ride. The professionalism of the driver is what will stand this transportation service far above other options.
