Second and third time were to order and pick up foreign currency. I like traveling but I dislike exchanging money at airport kiosks because their rates are never good. It makes most sense to get foreign currency at a bank. I ordered Euros on Friday and they had them ready for me on Monday which is super! The tellers were quick and very friendly.

I stopped in yesterday to get a document notarized. After waiting in line, I asked the teller if a…read morenotary was available and explained that we just moved here and needed to get some paperwork notarized for our house we are selling back in Colorado. She said yes, but then asked "Do you have an account here?" I told her we did not have an account anywhere locally yet. She said "Then we won't do it. I think they have a notary at UPS or the post office though". For real? I have never had that issue in the past when I have needed something notarized. We did go to UPS after that to get the paperwork notarized (and hey, I didn't even have to have an account there!). I understand we're not customers and would have been happy to pay for the service. At least I know now who I will NOT be using for our local bank.

This is the last location of all the Home Bank branches I have visited and reviewed. I love the front entrance with their power assisted doors. Just push a button and the doors open automatically like hospitals and medical facilities. Tellers were waiting inside to help customers. I was the only customer at 10 am but another customer came inside later and was assisted by another teller. I have been banking with Home Bank for five years and I have no complaints. Even though I have accounts with two credit unions, Home Bank is my main financial institution and home to my main checking account.

They basically ask for your first born son, family tree back to the Middle Ages, and a blood sample. Kimberly walked us through the process every step of the way and anticipated issues before they came up, ensuring that we were not coming down to the wire with the loan approval. She was also super available and super patient. Having taken out a number of loans in my life, this was the first time I actually had a loan company standout in terms of service and support. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a mortgage loan and a much better option than going through a traditional bank.
