Than I called to get my car towed, I was very shocked at how pleasant and professional they were, you don't see that too much lately. Without going into the gruesome details of what happened, Todd was able to reign her in without jeopardizing her condition further. Trust me, any further jostling or mishandle-ment could have led to tragedy. I was truly lucky (or "blessed" for the religious folk out there). He gladly drove us on over a couple towns south west - about a 15 minute ride. Normally I am leery about the conversations that can be had with this sorted crew, but I was real happy to be sitting alongside Todd. He told me a little about his starting this business not too long ago and then gave me some advice on my car. Super friendly and super comforting. A damsel in distress no more! Hopefully, I will not need a towing anytime soon, but in the event any of you do, Todd's the man.

My husband fortunately was able to move it out of the ticket booth line. Needing towing or roadside assistance on a Sunday is a truly impossible feat. This wasn't my first rodeo with not having towing/roadside help available on Sunday. Thankfully, Q Roadside picked up right when I called, told me how many batteries, etc. he had available and got in touch with my husband immediately. Thankfully, our minivan was towed and is now being worked on. To add to the cars just want to break down party, my husband's car was sitting in our garage not starting up. We informed Q Roadside of this. In addition to helping us with our minivan, he jumped my husband's car, monitored it, and even offered to come back if it didn't start again after the jump. Truly exceptional service on a Sunday (when our suburban fleet of vehicles like to break down)! I will call on Q Roadside again in a heartbeat if we're ever stuck in this situation again. He was fast, knowledgeable, and super helpful.

A retired Army veteran brought his vehicle to Barnes Automotive for what should have been…read morestraightforward diagnostic and maintenance work. He was charged more than $685 simply for a check engine light diagnosis and a cabin air filter replacement. A basic diagnostic scan can often be performed at many auto parts stores at no charge, and replacing the cabin air filter on a Ford Transit van is an extremely simple procedure located directly behind the glove box. The Transit does not come with a factory-installed filter, and installation requires only dropping the glove box, removing the housing cover, and inserting the filter -- a task that takes only minutes. The pricing became even more excessive when he was quoted over $725 for front brake work, plus an additional $285 to bleed the brake lines -- a procedure commonly performed as part of brake service. He was also quoted approximately $1,000 for an oxygen sensor replacement, which is grossly inflated for both the part and labor involved. This veteran was clearly taken advantage of through excessive pricing and poor customer treatment. I was able to source the rotors, brake pads, and oxygen sensor online for a total delivered cost of $259, including tax and shipping. I then referred him to a reputable mechanic who completed the installation of the rotors, pads, and oxygen sensor for $300 total. The contrast in pricing speaks for itself. Charging inflated prices to a retired Army veteran for relatively routine automotive work is unacceptable. The pricing practices and lack of integrity displayed in this situation are deeply concerning and reflect extremely poorly on the business.
