Without going into the gruesome details of what happened, Todd was able to reign her in without jeopardizing her condition further. He gladly drove us on over a couple towns south west - about a 15 minute ride. I've use this service a few times for the time my engine blew I needed a tow truck to the dealership he was there. For New Year's I was putting air in my tire at a fuel station and it was so very cold out that while doing it the air valve on the tire broke. He did not leave me hanging he came out as soon as possible before I called him I did contact through my insurance to have them send a tow truck this never happened I waited three hours I noticed on my phone that multiple tow trucks canceled out from coming finally the fourth tow truck came while STEVIE arrived I sent the tow truck away and Stevie was there less than an hour after the phone call that's amazing. And of course another holiday Christmas Eve while I am DoorDash in my vehicle broke down at a restaurant battery was dead from severe cold winds luckily I had a chance to cancel the customers order send a different driver but once I called STEVIE I don't even know how long it was but I almost think I only waited a half hour. He was charged more than $685 simply for a check engine light diagnosis and a cabin air filter replacement. A basic diagnostic scan can often be performed at many auto parts stores at no charge, and replacing the cabin air filter on a Ford Transit van is an extremely simple procedure located directly behind the glove box. The Transit does not come with a factory-installed filter, and installation requires only dropping the glove box, removing the housing cover, and inserting the filter -- a task that takes only minutes. The pricing became even more excessive when he was quoted over $725 for front brake work, plus an additional $285 to bleed the brake lines -- a procedure commonly performed as part of brake service. He was also quoted approximately $1,000 for an oxygen sensor replacement, which is grossly inflated for both the part and labor involved. This veteran was clearly taken advantage of through excessive pricing and poor customer treatment. I was able to source the rotors, brake pads, and oxygen sensor online for a total delivered cost of $259, including tax and shipping. I then referred him to a reputable mechanic who completed the installation of the rotors, pads, and oxygen sensor for $300 total. The contrast in pricing speaks for itself. Charging inflated prices to a retired Army veteran for relatively routine automotive work is unacceptable. The pricing practices and lack of integrity displayed in this situation are deeply concerning and reflect extremely poorly on the business.
