They showed up on a Friday at 3pm when the owner said they'd start on Tuesday. They didn't knock on the door to say hello to tell me they'd be working on the roof. We figured out they were there when they dropped a bucket off the roof and scared the #%|] out of us. They scraped some moss off the roof. They supposedly spread some moss treatment but moss is still on part of the roof a month later. They were supposed to clean the gutters but during a good downpour last weekend water was pouring over the gutters so at least one downspout is still plugged. I would not recommend using these guys. I'm gonna have to pay someone else to do the job they should have.

Ehlers went above and beyond working with insurance to get it to perfect pre-loss condition. Their employees and subcontractors are 100% top notch. Casey was the foreman, and handled every communication with the calmness of a zen monk. Dillan and Cooper are savants with carpentry. Danielle is one of the most efficient and detailed painters I've ever had the luxury of working with. Their work isn't cheap, but it is 100% backed by the value of the end result! If you have an insurance claim, you CANNOT go wrong putting the welfare of your home in the hands of Ehlers.

Their ad popped up on my husband's phone last August so he called for a quote on a bathroom reno…read more Their rep came out. Quoted us a price on several things we wanted done. Told us it would take two days (which should have raised red flags), and told us they would start six months AFTER we signed the contract (to avoid winter delays or so they said). They were to remove windows and add siding, but when the sub-contractors showed up (and that's how they do business, by subbing out EVERY JOB), the subs asked where the wood was for the re-install of the studs. New Castle had no intention of adding support or insulation to the hole where the windows had been. They stated that was not part of the quote - this does not meet code requirements. They stated it would be an extra cost. They took measurements on a skylight and twice we were delivered the wrong size. They then asked us to measure for ourselves at which point we decided to forego the skylight. They sent us an amended contract which would not take off the cost of the skylight or installation, they said they would refund us the cost after we had paid for the whole job. The owner of this farce of a company asked one of our local glass contractors to help with the job but ended up being so argumentative that the local guy wouldn't work with them. We have used this local contractor before and he's a gem! After this incident, the local contractor called us to see if everything had been handled to our satisfaction. At the time of the original quote we asked if they could build all they had quoted they said NO PROBLEM. They couldn't get the hardware they had written into their contact so we had to re-design the shower. They had to re- order the shower doors twice because they hadn't allowed for the changes, and they had gotten the initial design wrong in the first place. For some of the necessary demo work they said it would be extra cost even though their rep had given us the quote and the contract had been approved and signed. Finally, the job was completed in April, two VERY LONG months after they had insisted the job would take two days. The subs were great, no issues with them, but New Castle Installs IS A JOKE. We don't recommend this company; in fact, we hope to help other people avoid such a horrible experience.
