I am updating my review, not because of Rockwell but because of one of their subcontractors. For…read moreone reason or other, my heater ("Quality (horsepucky) heating) has gone out every single year without exception. Winter #5, I called another repairman. He kind of scoffed when I mentioned "Quality" and with obvious reasons. So repairman number 1 cleans it all out, gets it running again and says they will order yet another flame sensor. Meanwhile, Greg, who incidentally, has been quite kind through all this, calls Quality to come out. I want someone to get to the bottom of the issue. Twenty years in my condo, never saw a single heating issue. Now I have issues every year, probably due to poor install. So Quality comes out, replaces the sensor that I've already paid $90 via the other company and I get a bill for $89. I pay the $89 but I'm ticked and tell them as much. Then lo and behold, they decide to send a bill to include $80 for the flame sensor!!! I'm livid at this point and call and the creep is flippant and rude as hell having no qualms whatsoever about the additional charges. Rockwell is awesome and I love my home more than I can say. But they definitely need to cut ties with heating company. The company is totally dishonest and greedy.

When I was visiting her before she did her last walk through of the property, her husband had a lengthy discussion with the building Superintendent about a really, really bad drainage problem in their back yard. I listened as this representative of Rockwell GUARANTEED my friend and her husband that Rockwell would take care of the situation BEFORE they actually closed on the house. They trusted Rockwell. I kept telling them that they should never trust contractors....Anyway, they were told that the problem had been fixed, so they closed on the loan. Of course, there would be no way to know for sure until now if they actually did fix it....She forwarded me some pictures of her house as well as her neighbor's house today. She also let me listen to a recording of GREG HANSEN of Rockwell Builders screaming and yelling over the top of my friend as she was trying to simply discuss the issue with him! I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING! He was condescending, rude, loud and just plain hateful. I am going to post the pictures she forwarded to me. If anyone out there reads this....DON'T PURCHASE FROM ROCKWELL!!! They are extremely kind and nice until you challenge a serious issue. Then they claim that the fine print in the contract negates ANY verbal contract or guarantee they may have made! Shame on them. My friends are the NICEST people I have ever known! This was to be their retirement home. For a company that claims to be so honest and upfront, they sure are frauds!

He has been unable or unwilling to actually start the job and now it is the end of June. My elderly parents want to cancel the job due to lack of communication from Mr Reed; however now he will not respond to texts or phone calls to get their money back. Just beware when you hire him you may or may not actually get your job done. The next step may be taking him to court but we are trying all other options first.

Last July (2020), Landon, of Re Squared, began working on a series of projects in our home,…read morereplacing windows, refinishing a bedroom downstairs, and repairing a porch whose structure first required straightening, and then tearing out an old wooden hot tub in its corner, putting in new planks, and finally a paint job. For the most part, Landon's work was satisfactory and I paid him several times as he finished one portion of the whole project, because he said he needed the money to be able to pay bills. That seemed fair. Occasionally, he would take a day or two to go work on other projects which I also felt was acceptable, even though this meant that the jobs in my home would take longer to finish. By the middle of October, 2020, Landon was about one day away from being finished with the entire project for our home. The only things left to finish included installing a threshold for the new flooring in the bedroom, and tearing out and reattaching the slats in the porch railing which he installed without squaring them to each other. In other words, the distance between the slats at the top of the railing are often three-quarters of an inch to an inch wider or narrower than the distance between the slats at the bottom. It was very sloppily done and he agreed that he needed to redo this part of his work, plus there was some paint touchup on the porch as well. Before he left on the last day we saw him, about October 22, he said he would like the last payment. I said I would give it to him when he came back and finished. He pushed a little bit for the payment and promised he would come back on Thursday of the next week, Oct. 29. He gave me his word he would be back. I trusted him and gave him the money. However, he did not show up that next Thursday. So, I called the next day to make an appointment, and he said he would be at my home that afternoon. But he again did not show up. I began to worry because I knew that when the cold weather arrived, it may become more difficult to do the work and more especially to touch up the paint in some areas that needed it. On November 3, I texted Landon to set up an appointment. He replied, "I have to get this job to a point that I can break away. I am shooting for today and will let you know." But, he did not get back to me. I contacted him one more time before the winter set in and he said he would keep his word as fast as he could. Once again he did not respond. On April 5, 2021, five months later, I texted him again and asked if, now that the weather was warming up, he could come and finish his work. He said, "Yes, but it will be at least a month." So it has now been eight weeks. I texted him again on May 17, 2021 and have received no reply. I suppose he might say I am being a pest. I would say that seven months is a long time to wait to have him finish the project that he started almost a year ago.
